  • you used the worst band of all time D:

  • COMO SE LLAMA LA CANCION? ALGUIEN DIGAME PORFAA ):

  • hmm well also note how having pets is the same thing! calm down people this is just for fun. the whales at sea world actually seem pretty happy! orcas are really cute ^ ^

  • @RadioactiveKat22 como puedes decir que se ven felices? estan encerradas y no las dejan salir, ellas no viven ahí , es un espacio muy chiquito para tan grande animal como te setirias tu si te encerraran ah?

  • @maquita98 um.. i don't understand your language o-o

  • DOWN WITH SEA WORLD! >:(

  • They need to be set free just like Keiko was. He was sent to a bay in Iceland where they trained him for the wild life again. Then after some years he was set free when he was ready to handle the wild life again. Sadly he died of lamonia short after. But atleast he got his life back, and enjoyed every second of it. But if it is a whale who´s been born in captivity, then i dont think that whale can ever make it in the wild. But those who once were wild, should be trained for the wild and set free

  • @LindaJennyMusic You are very misinformed. Keiko spent nearly all of his time in a bay begging for scraps from fishing boats; he was alone and never found a pod. These whales CANNOT be released, and as soon as you people realize that the better off it will be. Find something better to do with your time than bashing a great organization like SeaWorld.

  • @coley4evr You're right that these whales are not able to be released, but SeaWorld is in no way a great organization. These beautiful and intelligent animals do not deserve to be trapped in tanks like they are. And I have no respect for a place that will take such a magnificent animal, trap it so it cannot meet its full potential, and use it for their own selfish gain.

  • They need to be set free just like Keiko was. He was sent to a bay in Iceland where they trained him for the wild life again. Then after some years he was set free when he was ready to handle the wild life again. Sadly he died of lamonia short after. But atleast he got his life back, and enjoyed every second of it.

  • Man... can I just say- you're spelling makes me "lol." This is terrible - if you're going to go all angry about Sea Worlds and stuff, can't you do a little research? For one thing - none of the (at least in Sea World) orcas are ever captured- they're rescued (when of course man made things injure these creatures). Without Sea World's facilities - most injured marine mammals are just left to die because no one has the resources like SW to help them out.

  • no these whales that are in the seaworld parks were all born in the parks and are very healthy and if they do not do the show then they are fed and played with and are still loved the ones outside are in danger at this moment and seaworld does not capture any more orca's at all and if the are then they are given checkups and released back into the ocean.

  • that ture they do take them away of they home and family and friends out there.

  • they perform when they want to and sometimes even eat a pelican but they are still loved at birth they are loved and fed and played with and are healthy no more whales are caught now that is why there is pod of killer whales near the coast of ca.

  • what are you thinking!? okay let's just say getting them back on the sea but, WHO'S GONNA BE RESPONSIBLE IF THEY ARE HARPOONED!? well i guess you could answer that.

  • well fix the seas up first and wild ones first least these ones in captivity dont have to worry about been harponed

  • Exactly!!

  • I wish i can set them free. but at the sametime, i still would want to see them up close. i wish i knew what the whales think.

  • ok, seriously most of the orcas at sea worlds were born in captivity so its all they know, they dont have any memories of the wild because they dont take wild ones in anymore. get the facts straight people they havent caught any in 20 years now!

  • Still its an industry built on the capture of wild animals. Only laws changed that, not a change of mind from the owners of the parks.

Plus, being born in captivity doesnt make them domesticated. They are still not suitable for life in a tank. Imagine you had to spent your whole life in the same room 24/7!

A teacher of mine was at Sea World when a captive born (!) young dolphin killed himself in the middle of a show... So mucf for "since they know nothing else, they are happy".

  • Oh my gosh. THANK YOU! That is the most logical answer I have seen. seriously. These people who are anti-captivity thinkn they know what the animals are thinking. All the whales at sea world were born captive. They don't take in anymore wild orcas.

  • next you'll all be sayin you cant own a gold fish cus its cruel to keep em in a tank.

How On Earth Do They Know That the orcas dont like it? And Orcas Don't Get Forced To Perform Them. Who Would Want To Force A 12,000 Pound Animal To Jump?!

  • Who would want to put his head into the mouth of a lion? Yet, its done every day at circuses. When it comes down to it, mental power succeeds over physical. The one who is in position to control an animals habitat, stimulation, social contact and food has all the control he needs, whatever the weight of the animals.

  • Orca are the second most intellignet creature on this planet. i really don't think a gold fish can think.

  • there should be no animals that are meant to be in the wild in captivity it's like putting an innocent human in prison for a crime they did'nt commit.

  • shouldn't you be more worried about what people are doing to orcas and other whales overseas? killing them, blowing them up, torturing them. maybe you should fight for that before fighting to "save" them from sea world, where they're safe and have a better life than those oversea.

  • They might be safe from "killer humans" but, their life expectancy decreases dramatically once they are put in to captivity. In the wild, Orcas live up to be 80 years old. In captivity, it's exceedingly rare for one to even reach the age on twenty. So, live in the wild, have a longer life, but possibly die from humans or, live in a tank and live a short life.

  • ok m8 ur tlkin to a whale expert

there fins flop becus they swim in the same direction and no they wld survive did keiko survive.. u no that whale from free willy ye he died thats y whale in captivity rnt let go !!

dnt cross me about whales ye its not the nicest thing puttin em in a tank but becus they m8 they r happy so shurrup k !!!

    ---

Uhm, its time you'd get your facts right.

Keiko was released because he knew how to get prey and stuff. He died because he got pnemonia [spelling?]

  • your an ignorant idiot. if u put the captive whales back they wont know how to fend for themsleves and they would die u dipshit. and the whales do not have to work for their food. do some resaerch before u decide to say something next time.

  • KIller whales are fast learners i you have the right facilities you could make a release programme which will teach the orcas!

  • By the way, they do not have to work for their food. I'm a MLC regular, and have watched as all summer, one of the whales in particular who refused to perform was fed bucket after bucket of fish every day. It didn't matter that she wouldn't perform, she still got fed. Explain that one if they have to work for their food.

  • Y'know, if you're going to go making videos about 'the truth about killer whales in captivity' perhaps you should look at the real facts, and remove the biases from your opinion. The last whale captured was over ten years ago, and most are captive bred. By the way, Keiko being freed was the most expensive release ever, and he died from a disease he got in the wild, so don't go around saying they always die in captivity, it happens in the wild too.

  • What are you talking about The last orca capture was in 2003 there's even a video of it on here the whale died within 1 month of the capture and the japanese have plans to go out soon to capture orcas again people are entitled to their own opinions and to believe in captivity but you also need to realize how these marine parks obtain their animals breeding programmes won't keep the captive population for long either sooner or later there will be more captures and everyone can agree that's wrong

  • Aside from that one captured in Russia [which was 5 years ago anyway], the last capture was 11 years ago. If you want to stop the Japanese from capturing, why don't you petition against it, or protest? Capturing new whales to put in captivity, and captive breeding are two completely different things, and honestly, I don't see the need for captures "sooner or later", what makes you think the captive bred population is going to start dwindling?

  • because there simply aren't enough orcas in captivity to maintain the captive stock using breeding programmes for any substantial ammount of time without resorting to inbreeding especially with the poor rates of successful births of the 56 orcas born in captivity just 15 of them are still alive there are 44 orcas currently in captivity most of which are related to each other so the number of possible breeding pairs is very low and certainly not enough to keep the population going

  • There simply aren't enough orcas in captivity to maintain the population for a substantial amount of time. There are only 44 captive orcas (alot of them are related to each other)without resorting to inbreeding there are very few possible breeding pairs and with the low rate of successful births (only about 50% make it to their 1st birthday)I just don't realistically see the breeding programme as a way to keep the captive population going.

  • gurl u no nuttin!

    1 - whales dont sit...

2 - the whales must enjoy being in captivity because the are mating!!!

so u no wat dont talk rubbish !

if they didnt like it they wldnt breed so shut it!!

  • plus if u let em go they wouldnt b ables to surive!! so ur up ya ass

  • or corse they could survive!!!!

  • dude, of corse whales would much prefer to be in the big wide sea! a whales fin will droop when it is unhappy, and it happens regularly, wouldn't you rather be in you home than in some enclosed tank?

  • ok m8 ur tlkin to a whale expert

there fins flop becus they swim in the same direction and no they wld survive did keiko survive.. u no that whale from free willy ye he died thats y whale in captivity rnt let go !!

dnt cross me about whales ye its not the nicest thing puttin em in a tank but becus they m8 they r happy so shurrup k !!!

  • !wootirokx! that's not true about the fins the stolagen keeps it upright in the wild because they dive to deep depths but in a tanks the pressure is too low so the fin droops down! so maybe you should stop acing like you know everything and stop being nasty

  • wat the heck..

    who do u think u r

i no alot more about orcas than u.

i am m8s with 1 of the trainors at seaworld florida i know everything frm her.

she says there fins drop from continuous swimmin in the same direction.

  • That sounds like a bunch of bull to me.

  • you look like a bunch of bull to me

if the orcas didnt like doing what they do they wouldnt mate, so far in florida seaworld katina has had 6 babies tilikum has had about 15, 13 are still alive.

if they didnt enjoy it they wouldnt preform

the trainers dont tell them what to do they ask them and if the orca does not want to they dont make them.

  • You are in the wrong here. Why? because you're implying that I said they aren't happy in captivity. I said no such thing. I didn't say they didn't like to mate, I didn't say they don't like to perform, and I didn't say that their trainers make them perform. All I said, is that captive Orcas live far shorter lives than wild Orcas. I said, that most don't live beyond twent or twenty five. And just because 13 Orcas are still alive doesn't mean they will live to be of Old age.

  • i knw you didnt say that, i can read im getting a point across not just to u but ppl who believe this video.

i know they dont live as long, but u could say the same thing for captured dolphins.

but once agen they enjoy it

  • But, thats what I'm saying. There is no reason for you to get a point across with me. Because I didn't say they were unhappy. If you had said that the shorter life span is a problem with other captive marine mammals, then I would get/see why you would make that point. Especially with me. What you should have done was posted another response in general to get your point across instead of replying to mine. By replying to mine, it shows that your response is directed toward me specifically.

  • i get wat your saying but u replied to 1 of my comments saying 'thats a bunch of bull'

which i was replying to sum1 who was tlking about 1 of my previous comments about the happyness of the orcas, so u kinda started this tbh

  • No I didn't wootirockx. There a difference in calling a piece of information bull(which is all I did) and calling a person bull(which you did). By making that comment I was merely stating that I didn't believe the infomation you stated was accurate. You, however, insulted me directly. I didn't insult you. However, I will say that I should have just said that your information(or post) was wrong, instead of calling it bull. I will say that. But, I did not insult you.

  • fine watever like

  • To top if off, you then said I "look like a bunch of bull." Which clearly shows that your response was directed only at me and that you really thought I said or implied that captive orcas were unhappy. You attacked me only. Regardless of what you say your post came off like that completely.

  • What you did was attack and blantantly insulted the wrong person.

  • Would you rather travel where ever you want or be confined to a small room forced to preform infront of a whole nother species? Killer whales have pens in the BACK of the performing areas which are small and cruel. They are FORCED to live there. They dont enjoy it at all.

  • look girly, in seaworld their are 9 pools altogether the orcas are allowed 2go in any of the pools they wnt the pools are nice & deep for them, if they didnt like being in captivity the wouldnt preform and they wouldnt mate, both which they do, the trainers dont force them 2 preform they ask them.

u wana free the whales? call free willy oh wait u cn't cus keiko died when he was set free oh how'd i miss that 1? if they wer let go they'd die want that to happen?

    yeh thats wat i thought

  • They preform because that is their means of food. Do you think that, say a dog, likes to balance a little treat on his nose and beg for food and roll over? No, he does it for the treat. And orcas do it for the fish. Keiko died for a reason, and that was humans. Keiko died because people thought "ooh look, Willy! We can feed him and pet him and ride him!" and they fed him and rode him and he could never really be free. Wheb they banned feeding him it was to late, and he couldnt feed himslef.

  • ur tlkin out ya backside willy died cus he could survive. half the orcasd in captivity are born there they wldnt live if free'd. its like sayin u can have a pet mouse of bird cus they cant run of fly wereva. i know a trainer and the orcas r well taken care for they dont only get fish for tricks they prefore they have breakfast, lunch dinner and anything inbetween

if u dnno wat ur tlking bout dnt comment, and dont reply cus i cba rguin a case.

  • I once bought a zebra finch at a pet shop and I let it go and I see it on my property all the time. Captive animals can be set free.

You can argue all you want but if whales could talk do you think they would say they'd rather be in a swimming pool or the ocean?

  • yeh ok wateva you wana believe but i know they arnt force to do nothing and they like it

  • Next time, read my responses more carefully.

You are only in the wrong because, you bascailly put words in my mouth and implied that I said such things you about them not liking being in captivity. Which I didn't. I made responses about their life span in captivity, nothing more.

  • *sight* let me fix the mistakes. I'm typing too fast.

Next time, read my responses more carefully. You are only in the wrong because, you basically put words in my mouth and implied that I said the Orcas weren't happy. Which I didn't. I only made responses about their life span in captivity, nothing more.

  • Not true actually, the dorsal fin collapse is in no way related to the emotions of the animal, its because in the wild, they are able to dive to deep enough depths to support and harden the collagen in their fins to keep them straight, but in captivity, due to the fact their tanks arent deep enough, the collagen softens, and the dorsal fin collapses, its not because their unhappy or stressed.

  • Theey are called KILLER WHALES for a reason. But I love em they are so cool

  • i like this video and i think the only time that it is ever ok to take an animal into captivity is if was abandoned by its pod or if the animal is seriously injured so that they can care for them and help them get better and then release them back into the wild. :]

  • Freeing captive orcas into the wild is a romantic notion, fueled largely by movies like "Free Willy" but it is highly unrealistic. Many of these animals have grown emotionally and physically dependant on humans for survival, and wouldn't be able to survive on their own in the open sea. Also, their immune systems are different from wild orcas, making them more succeptible to illnesses. And many captive orcas today were actually born in captivity.

  • Do you know why their immune systems are different from wild orcas? It is because stress weakens the immune system there are plenty of scientific papers to back that statement up, including one written specifically about captive orcas. The weak immune systems of captive orcas proves that they are stressed and it is why so many of them die young as a result of infection. It's not just the wild caught ones that are stressed either captive bred orcas have bad survival rates and low life expectancy.

  • Fuckin' cry-baby video. Waaa! They want to be free!--Bullshit, all they know is they get all the damn fish they could ever dream of!

  • actually thats not true. they have to work for their food, and also they dont have enough room to actually swim like they can in the wild.

  • they do not have to work for their food. The animals are fed whether they perform or not.

  • i respect your opinion, but please do the research and make sure your facts are accurate, the majority of the info in this video is false, its important no matter what you choose to believe to have the facts. i dont agree with this video, but it is america, freedom of speech

  • or do they?

  • omg that my name to and i recenty made a video its called captivity kills orcas check it out some time. P.S i loved your video.

  • The Keiko picture at 30 seconds was them freeing him, not enslaving him =)

  • yeh and he died cus they let him go

  • um i dont care

  • I beleive they can be rehabilitated and if the parks invested a fraction of the cost the animals had earned them they could make it happen! no bullshit excuses from this point of view. What we need here is a change of laws...ppl think whales naturally do tricks ect then lets set them free and see if they volunteer without being bribed with their food. And if that does work then we can all take our lazy asses out on a boat to see the show...no more whales in fish bowls!

  • Rehabilitation is a great option, but it will not work for every animal. Plus, it is unbelievably costly. Look up Keiko from Free Willy. I agree, though, they do need our help. What we really need is for PETA or some big name interest group to back our cause. The only problem is that PETA is extremist and often times idiotic, but they do have a lot of money and I sure they would help.

  • nice vid. but you cant just air drop an orca into the ocean. sorry.

  • No shit!! You can rehabilitate them back into the wild!

  • Kick ass video nicole1126!!

  • Wow, this is the most ignorant piece of shit I've ever seen. Most of the people who commented are just as stupid. These animals are bred in SeaWorld and would NEVER survive in the wild. Do some research. Also, spell check is your buddy <3

  • I encourage to read EVERYONES comments before saying we're stupid.

  • First off, many of the orcas in captivity now where born there, you can't take an animal that's lived it's whole life in an aquarium and let it go expecting it to survive. Now what I do believe is that Lolita, the orca that lives in Miami Seaquarium should be released. She's around forty and has been living in a pool the size of a backyard swimming pool.

  • Orcas die sooo young in captivity.

  • I got a question have any of you ever been to these parks dont get me wrong im not for captivity or against it.

  • They are really sad there its like living in a fish bowl but. they could be in the oean swimming with their family.. I just so wrong to keep them in a fish bowl... their in a living hell!!

  • innit though i think this is fine unless they are treated badly but at seaworld they are treated incredibly well

  • If you are treated well at a jail would you still want to stay. I am making an argument, I am just saying freedom is a different thing.

  • they are kept in tanks that are about 5 times their size.they are forced to do stupid unneducational shows for tiny chunks of dead fish.many times orcas kill themselves or trainers because they are so mad/sad in captivity.orcas in captivty's lifespan is only 10 years.orcas in the wild's lifespan is 60-80 years.more than 250 orcas died in marineparks and many were caught from the wild.

  • "many times orcas kill their trainers". the only orca trainer i know that died was Keltie Byrne, which may have been the result of the orcas not being used to having humans in the water with them.

  • Ya, the best food, the best care, daily interaction, and no health concerns.... I bet they are really sad to be at SeaWorld. NOT!

  • SeaWorld i will agree is the best at looking after their Orca's compared to MSQ etc. Now lets see Only being able to live half there expected life span, Being torned from their familes, being torn from their home, No health concerns? how come Orca's die at Seaworld then, u may want to brush up on ur knowledge b4 u start arguing. Seaworld it sounds so wonderful compared to the ocean doesn't it.*cough*

  • seaworld keeps orcas imprisoned in concrete cells that are only about 5 times their body lengths! they are responsible for making orcas endangered in the usa. the average lifespan for captive orcas is 10-15 years and in the wild its 60-80 years! no orca in captivity has ever even reached 50! more than 250 orcas have died due to marineparks.they are forced to perform stupid circus tricks for tiny scraps of dead fish

  • Actually, pollution, diseases, oil spills, overfishing, vessel traffic, and high toxins in the salmon is what is responsible for making them endangered, an orca hasn't been captured for captivity in the US since the late 1970's. Also many of the behaviors that they do in the shows are based off what they do in the wild, therefore they aren't stupid circus tricks. Also they are fed alot, these animals at sea world are well taken care of.

  • Yes, pollution, disease, oil spills, overfishing, etc. does effect an Orcas life but, living in captivity affects them more. Personally, I'd rather an Orca live in the pollution/disease and still live to be 80, then have one put in captivity away from it and not even live to be twenty.

  • Great video! Free the orcas! End Captivity!
