The Charger was faster than the Mustang. They had to put skinny-er tires on it to help reduce the traction so it'd be harder to keep up.
Also, no modifications were done to the Chargers frame and it held up fine on those jumps, whereas the Mustangs was reinforced and had to be fixed/rebuilt a couple of times.
Sure signs that Mopar is/was better than Ford. The above are facts, so before you biased retards come back, look up the FACTS.
No problem! Ford and GM guys alike just can't realize how inferior their products are. Even with proof in their face and even from the directors of this movie! It is quite hilarious!
they kept having to repair the mustang because it wouldnt handle the abuse, the Charger on the other hand handled the whole chase quite well! thats why MOPAR RULES!!!
because I couldn't see the comments, I didn't know that you had commented the same thing lol thanks for beating me to that dang it..I wanted to be the smart one lol!
@Killerwalrus234 Yeah, I am the doubhe bag for caring what people say on the internet according to you, yet you reply to me because you care. Look whos the fucking retard now. DUMBASS
didnt see anything break on the mustang....and yet your name is VOLVO powered...which is like...33 percent owned by FORD...if they still are...but im sure your volvo is a pre volvo sell....
You don't get to see it in the movie, it was on a documentary on tv...i love mustangs so no problem with them, i was just saying that the charger was the strongest car, any fucking problem with that?
@volvo740power666 So what your saying is that the Charger went to the Junk Yard at the end while the Mustang gets a little peak and tune after that chase and she's back as new.HMMM I'll take the Mustang anyday did you listen to that prrr of the engine it sounds so sexy!
The truth must hurt lol, the mustang was designed by Lee Iaccoa to save ford, he made it for the female comsumer so its really a girls car, where the charger is cool, has style and curves along with tons of power so its a car for men
welll your wrong man sorry. the mustang was origanly intended as a family sedan, later redirected towrds women for a short while. either way why does it matter if its a chicks car, you on some kinda power trip "charger lover"?
If you took both cars from 68 and put them against each other like they did in the movie the charger would win, sorry if the truth hurts. And yes I do love power and torque is there something wrong with that lol.
@68chargerlover I HATE TO TELL YOU BUT THE MUSTANG WAS MADE TO COMMEMORATE THE P-51 MUSTANG WHICH WAS A BAD ASS FIGHTER IN WW2 AND WHILE YOUR ARE RIGHT WOMEN LIKE THE MUSTANGS THE GT AND COBRA MODELS ARE MADE FOR THE MATURE MEN WHO ENJOY THE POWER OF A SMALL BLOCK V-8 I TOO LIKE THE CHARGER OF OLD BUT ONE OF MY FAVORITES IS THE PLYMOUTH SUPERBEE WITH THE GIANT SPOILER IN THE REAR ALTHOUGH BIG AS A TANK IT HAD THAT HUGE HEMI ENGINE TO POWER THAT BASTARD.
@Flyboy207 When I think Challenger I think of 2nd place finish. While Mustang says it all a name of an animal (Horse) which has a lot of sprit, heart ,speed, and looks fitting for the car I drive.I like Chargers and Challengers too but there raw power not much looks kinda like a Clydesdale Horse all power no finess to heavy to take tight corners
@40thStangGT Makes sense. I'm the kind of person who is better with a "Clydesdale". tight corners aren't my thing, I'm more of a straightaways and smooth curves driver. (and dirt, watch the General Lee) And I think it's cool of you to say "second place finish" instead of "they suck."
@Flyboy207 well Im not like of some Mustang guys that don't appreciate American Muscle no matter what Make or Model as long as you have pride in your ride and respect other peoples rides it's more diplomatic that way.But I love my Mustangs as you love your ride. What kind of car do you have is it a Charger or Challenger?
@40thStangGT Unfortunately I don't own one. I have worked on some and ridden in/driven some of each but haven't been able to buy one yet. Looking forward to the day.
@Flyboy207 well hang in there My first car was a 1983 Ford Fairmont a nasty looking car but I had just joined the Navy and needed wheels It took alot of hard work to get where I'am Im sure in the future you'll have one and hope you enjoy the ride whatever you decide but don't settle for a lesser car when you get the funds for one.You will hate yourself for it I had a 1999 v-6 Mustang and did not like the power it was to slow for a Stang then I upgraded to my 02 and 04 GT now I'm happy.
@40thStangGT They were made for the female population, school teachers and secretaries. And the superbee didnt have the big wing that was the superbird and the daytona.
@68chargerlover The V-6 Models did get alot of women to buy them but the GT and Shelby Cobra models were for the men who wanted the power and could handle it. And the Charger was not made till late 60s back then the Plymouth Barracuda and the GTO was Mustangs rival later on the Muscle car craze came and thats Camaros in 1967 and Firebirds and your Chargers came to compete seeing how Ford Mustang was a red hot seller they need to get into the action too
@40thStangGT lol keep dreaming the name may have been to commemorate the p-51 but it was built for the female buyer. And the super bee didnt have the big wing that was the superbird and the daytona. They are all nice cars and nice to see out driving around, their not like the cookie cutter cars, they have style and class, the muscle cars will always be the rock n roll of the street, I miss seeing all of them and the cool saturday nights when we would race on a dark road or from light to light.
@68chargerlover One thing is for sure they don't build them with the same craftmanship as they used too hard core metal back in the day not this plastic crap they use and lots of chrome. But I still prefer the Mustang over the rest
@40thStangGT Everyone has their favorites, I think the charger is way better looking and in real life if these two cars were compared the charger would be the winner.
@40thStangGT Gotta love when they pull out onto the road amoungst all the cookie cutter cars, theres just something about a muscle car that gets your blood pumping, must be the cool style, or maybe the attitude or the music from the tailpipes, letting the V8 sing !
@68chargerlover That I can agree with I like to listen to the prrr of the engine doing 75mph and a little more on a clear night in an open highway in my Mustang it hypnotic to listen too
@40thStangGT I love starting my charger and seeing the car shake, you can feel the torque from the hemi from 5 feet away and hear it idle from blocks away
@blc6363 your right the Superbird I have some of these in my diecast collection 1/24 scale Johnny Lightning brand. I also have the Ford Mustang Bullitt next to a black Charger to replicate the movie scene in my hobby room.
@40thStangGT Actually Iacocca based the Mustang off the Falcon frame as a small, sporty car for women and that's mainly who drove the first Mustangs. Men who had money to spend on the car lot was buying Pontiac, Mopar and Chevrolet. It wasn't until the Camaro came out with a 396 in it that Ford put out the bigger (small) block Mustangs which were unaffordable to most with less horsepower than the competitors.
@MrSelfDestruct67 less horse power but a lighter car thus a legend was born Mustang was given the name as I said before after the legendary P-51 fighter plane and it used the legendary Mustang horse emblem to signify the power and free spirit the animal signifies.Yes it was built on a Falcon chassis but it worked out well for it has been a hot seller around the world for decades and more to come
@MrSelfDestruct67 Sometimes some men have to drive big cars and trucks with huge tires to over compensate for there appendage between there legs. So trying to put the Mustang down for a huge car like a Charger that needs a big engine to move the boat around is no contest. Mustang hands down has better handling looks by far and like McDonalds people love it and make profit year after sorry you don't like them But there here to stay unlike Dodge and some GM products
@40thStangGT I can't believe so many people liked your comment. There wasn't even such thing as a Plymouth Superbee it was a Dodge Superbee. And you don't have to type in all caps to make your point
@68chargerlover i dont know if your right or not about the design, havent looked into it, but the charger had tonnes of power cause it was a muscle car, a beefy, friggin car, no questions asked one of my favorites, but the mustange was fords pony car, while the torino gt was there muscle car. still two beautiful cars
@68chargerlover oh and no doubt, hands down would of destroyed the mustang, the 429 was a beatiful motor, but still stood no chance against a 426 hemi or the 440
Yes, the Charger is a car for a man's man...whereas the Mustang is a car for a man who likes women.
haha...as for the Charger having style and curves...I would have to ask, 'Where, exactly?!'. The car is built like a swarthy Idahoan broad, possibly named 'Bertha', or even 'Eunice'...think about it: There's a good reason Steve McQueen chose to be in the Mustang, and not the Dogdge.
@pFhUCKpFhACE if you need a car to get women you have more problems then you know lol. If you have to ask where the style and curves are you have no eye for automotive artistic beauty, theres a reason why the charger is a legend, if the charger is bertha or eunice then the rustang is agethea or gretchen. And steve had troubles driving the rustang and had to have a stunt driver, infact the rustang suspension had to be renforced to handle the chase scenes. In real life the charger would spank it.
@68chargerlover - haha...it's not that I need a car to get me women, it's just that the Mustang will get you much finer looking ladies than the ones who would stoop low enough to be seen in a lowly charger.
Don't get me wrong - the hemi was a decent street engine, and a decent race engine, but then had Ford been allowed to run their 'cammer' engine in nascar racing, the hemi would have been knocked down a few rungs on the nascar ladder, and we both know that's true.
Also...the charger is butt-fugly. Mopar had some of the worst automotive styling back in those days, with the exception of the Cuda, which was actually a great looking car. Mustangs looked good up until the mid 70's, and then they kinda went to sh!t. IMO, GM had some of the best looking muscle cars back in the day, until about the early 80's, and then they seemed to forget how to build a good car.
@pFhUCKpFhACE lol i doubt women would like to be stuck with you in your rustang dead along side the road, you seem to forget its still a ford lol. And get real in nascar ford and dodge were neck and neck, ford had its crammer engine but dodge had its dual overhead cam 4v per cyl hemi that would have spanked it. It was nascar whos owned by chevy who put an end to them. The charger is one of the greatest tv and movie cars of all time all ford had was the rustang the rest were crap, you have no eye.
@68chargerlover - haha...I believe the term 'lipstick on a pig' originated by all the people who were trying to describe the women they saw in the passenger seats of chargers...and sometimes in the driver's seat too.
Secondly, I don't own a Mustang. Not that I wouldn't buy one, but it would have to be the right one. As for chargers, I wouldn't be caught dead in one. And you laugh about the rustang, but everybody here knows all about Dodge's "quality". Simply, some of the worst cars on the road.
@pFhUCKpFhACE sorry you date pigs wearing lipstick, but with your brains I bet thats all you can get. All muscle cars built in the sixtys handled the same dumbass. And if you look at the behind the scenes of the movie you wuld learn that the charger had more power then the stang and handled better. So just keep your big mouth shut kido.
@68chargerlover - old man...clearly you're drunk on turpentine again. To quote you, "ALL muscle cars built in the sixtys handled the same dumbass".
Clearly, your dodgy charger handles the same dumbass...but otherwise, your statement is just plainly wrong. There's a reason the camaros and mustangs survived, sold well, and raced in all sorts of motorsports...while dodge, meanwhile, just went broke.
@pFhUCKpFhACE some handled better then other, go ahead and look at the behind the scenes of this movie. Even today if both these cars were compared equally the charger would still win. For some reason you have a vendeta against the charger, theres a reason the charger is a legend, hell the charger daytona has won more trophies then the camaros or mustangs. And there are more fords alone side the road dead then anyother car company, go ahead take a road trip and count the different makes lol.
@68chargerlover - actually, I don't have a vendetta against them, I just am not seeing them through beer goggles, like you must be. As I said, dodge always had reasonably good engines, it's just the rest of the car that was crap, and that continues on to this day. If you want to believe the charger is a legend, then go ahead, but then, by the same token, the mustang must be even more of a legend...as is the GT-40, the Thunderbolt, and a few other Ford-engined cars, like the Shelby Cobra...
(cont.)...the Shelby Daytona coupe, the DeTomaso Pantera and Mangusta, and the Bricklin SV1...just to name a few. There must be a reason most of those performance car manufacturers chose Ford engines, and not Chrysler ones. If you want to throw Chevy into the mix, you could mention the Camaro, Corvette, and all the Can-Am cars that ran Chevy big- and small-blocks, though that would be almost too many teams and cars to mention. Again, there's a good reason Chrysler quit making the charger.
@pFhUCKpFhACE the hemi was an amazing engine and where would the mustang be today if not for carol shelby and Lee Iacoca? Sorry you have no clue on cars maybe get in one once. More people know the charger over the gt-40 and more people know what a hemi is vs other engines. The charger has been in a ton off movies and tv shows, it has attitude and is a very cool car so yes it is a legend. So think what you will and knock cool muscle cars, your a waste of time.
@68chargerlover - Do you even have a point? Iacocca, working with Ford was able to create the Mustang...when he went to lowly Chrysler, all they could offer was the crappy K-Car. Good job, nopar. Again, with Ford, Shelby made awesome cars happen. With chryslur, all they could offer was a clapped-out Omni (nice work on the Omni, guys). And the ONLY reason anyone even knew about chargers...the Dukes of Hazzard. And once more, good work, dodged...good work.
Heh heh. If that was me in the Charger, My ass would be outta there sometime around :30.
Charger-1/4 mile at 14 flat. Mustang-1/4 mile at 15.5. Not to mention the Charger's top speed is about 20 mph faster. 2:45 to 2:52 is about what that chase would look like.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
how many times did dodge have to change the transmission in that video speaking of having to replace suspension...hahahahha damn dodges....they were rattle buckets all the way up to just recently and could never make a transmission if their life depended on it...makes sense why they and chevy are on bail out..gotta get their heads outa their asses and get some sales
@higbull you can go and fuck yourself you dont compare dodge anywhere near chevey and the ford had to have so many fucking repairs and the 727 transmission is basiacally the most commonly produced tranny so once again FUCK YOU
yeah, but you have to admit that dodge now is shit.. dodge now isnt what it use to be, im a mustang lover but ill admit mopar domiated the strip because of the massive engines, but also dodge started off making trannies for ford, so in a way its all united lol jk
also, the charger has some extremely skinny tires and the mustang seems to have some wider rubber with a shorter sidewall. not much, but it can make a difference, especially in the corners. the charger tryin to put all its power down thru those little tires...massive skill
I just love the charger, though I like the mustang, i would take a charger over it any day.
Plus, during the filming of this scene the mustang needed consant maintenance due to the jumps but the charger was fine the whole time.

92YotaDude 2 years ago
The truth must hurt lol, the mustang was designed by Lee Iaccoa to save ford, he made it for the female comsumer so its really a girls car, where the charger is cool, has style and curves along with tons of power so its a car for men
68chargerlover 2 years ago 5
welll your wrong man sorry. the mustang was origanly intended as a family sedan, later redirected towrds women for a short while. either way why does it matter if its a chicks car, you on some kinda power trip "charger lover"?
myersed3 2 years ago
If you took both cars from 68 and put them against each other like they did in the movie the charger would win, sorry if the truth hurts. And yes I do love power and torque is there something wrong with that lol.
68chargerlover 2 years ago 3
40thStangGT 1 year ago 13
@40thStangGT I think the Challenger would have done the Mustang name justice.
Flyboy207 1 year ago
@Flyboy207 When I think Challenger I think of 2nd place finish. While Mustang says it all a name of an animal (Horse) which has a lot of sprit, heart ,speed, and looks fitting for the car I drive.I like Chargers and Challengers too but there raw power not much looks kinda like a Clydesdale Horse all power no finess to heavy to take tight corners
40thStangGT 1 year ago
@40thStangGT Makes sense. I'm the kind of person who is better with a "Clydesdale". tight corners aren't my thing, I'm more of a straightaways and smooth curves driver. (and dirt, watch the General Lee) And I think it's cool of you to say "second place finish" instead of "they suck."
Flyboy207 1 year ago
@Flyboy207 well Im not like of some Mustang guys that don't appreciate American Muscle no matter what Make or Model as long as you have pride in your ride and respect other peoples rides it's more diplomatic that way.But I love my Mustangs as you love your ride. What kind of car do you have is it a Charger or Challenger?
40thStangGT 1 year ago
@40thStangGT Unfortunately I don't own one. I have worked on some and ridden in/driven some of each but haven't been able to buy one yet. Looking forward to the day.
Flyboy207 1 year ago
@Flyboy207 well hang in there My first car was a 1983 Ford Fairmont a nasty looking car but I had just joined the Navy and needed wheels It took alot of hard work to get where I'am Im sure in the future you'll have one and hope you enjoy the ride whatever you decide but don't settle for a lesser car when you get the funds for one.You will hate yourself for it I had a 1999 v-6 Mustang and did not like the power it was to slow for a Stang then I upgraded to my 02 and 04 GT now I'm happy.
40thStangGT 1 year ago
@Flyboy207 So when you get that Charger or Challenger make sure you get one with good pwer plant under the hood
40thStangGT 1 year ago
@40thStangGT They were made for the female population, school teachers and secretaries. And the superbee didnt have the big wing that was the superbird and the daytona.
68chargerlover 1 year ago

68chargerlover 1 year ago
@68chargerlover One thing is for sure they don't build them with the same craftmanship as they used too hard core metal back in the day not this plastic crap they use and lots of chrome. But I still prefer the Mustang over the rest
40thStangGT 1 year ago
@40thStangGT Everyone has their favorites, I think the charger is way better looking and in real life if these two cars were compared the charger would be the winner.
68chargerlover 1 year ago
@68chargerlover We can agree to disagree at least you love and support an American product as I do
40thStangGT 1 year ago
@40thStangGT Gotta love when they pull out onto the road amoungst all the cookie cutter cars, theres just something about a muscle car that gets your blood pumping, must be the cool style, or maybe the attitude or the music from the tailpipes, letting the V8 sing !
68chargerlover 1 year ago
@68chargerlover That I can agree with I like to listen to the prrr of the engine doing 75mph and a little more on a clear night in an open highway in my Mustang it hypnotic to listen too
40thStangGT 1 year ago
@40thStangGT I love starting my charger and seeing the car shake, you can feel the torque from the hemi from 5 feet away and hear it idle from blocks away
68chargerlover 1 year ago
@40thStangGT - ummmm no. It was made to be a better model of the ford falcon. The name just came from it. DUH!!
Armydude468 10 months ago
@40thStangGT i think you mean a superbird.
blc6363 10 months ago
@blc6363 your right the Superbird I have some of these in my diecast collection 1/24 scale Johnny Lightning brand. I also have the Ford Mustang Bullitt next to a black Charger to replicate the movie scene in my hobby room.
40thStangGT 10 months ago
@40thStangGT Actually Iacocca based the Mustang off the Falcon frame as a small, sporty car for women and that's mainly who drove the first Mustangs. Men who had money to spend on the car lot was buying Pontiac, Mopar and Chevrolet. It wasn't until the Camaro came out with a 396 in it that Ford put out the bigger (small) block Mustangs which were unaffordable to most with less horsepower than the competitors.
MrSelfDestruct67 9 months ago 3
@MrSelfDestruct67 less horse power but a lighter car thus a legend was born Mustang was given the name as I said before after the legendary P-51 fighter plane and it used the legendary Mustang horse emblem to signify the power and free spirit the animal signifies.Yes it was built on a Falcon chassis but it worked out well for it has been a hot seller around the world for decades and more to come
40thStangGT 9 months ago
@40thStangGT The Ford Mustang is an American icon, no doubt. But so is McDonald's and they sell burgers by the billions. Get my drift?
MrSelfDestruct67 9 months ago
@MrSelfDestruct67 Well at least Ford did not need bail out money like GM and Dodge did I mean now part of Fiat GET MY DRIFT!
40thStangGT 9 months ago
@MrSelfDestruct67 Sometimes some men have to drive big cars and trucks with huge tires to over compensate for there appendage between there legs. So trying to put the Mustang down for a huge car like a Charger that needs a big engine to move the boat around is no contest. Mustang hands down has better handling looks by far and like McDonalds people love it and make profit year after sorry you don't like them But there here to stay unlike Dodge and some GM products

68chargerlover 1 year ago
@68chargerlover i dont know if your right or not about the design, havent looked into it, but the charger had tonnes of power cause it was a muscle car, a beefy, friggin car, no questions asked one of my favorites, but the mustange was fords pony car, while the torino gt was there muscle car. still two beautiful cars
BCAlbertan 1 year ago
@BCAlbertan dont matter the cuda and challenger were mopars pony cars.
68chargerlover 1 year ago
@68chargerlover oh and no doubt, hands down would of destroyed the mustang, the 429 was a beatiful motor, but still stood no chance against a 426 hemi or the 440
BCAlbertan 1 year ago
Yes, the Charger is a car for a man's man...whereas the Mustang is a car for a man who likes women.
haha...as for the Charger having style and curves...I would have to ask, 'Where, exactly?!'. The car is built like a swarthy Idahoan broad, possibly named 'Bertha', or even 'Eunice'...think about it: There's a good reason Steve McQueen chose to be in the Mustang, and not the Dogdge.
pFhUCKpFhACE 1 year ago
@pFhUCKpFhACE if you need a car to get women you have more problems then you know lol. If you have to ask where the style and curves are you have no eye for automotive artistic beauty, theres a reason why the charger is a legend, if the charger is bertha or eunice then the rustang is agethea or gretchen. And steve had troubles driving the rustang and had to have a stunt driver, infact the rustang suspension had to be renforced to handle the chase scenes. In real life the charger would spank it.
68chargerlover 1 year ago
@68chargerlover - haha...it's not that I need a car to get me women, it's just that the Mustang will get you much finer looking ladies than the ones who would stoop low enough to be seen in a lowly charger.
Don't get me wrong - the hemi was a decent street engine, and a decent race engine, but then had Ford been allowed to run their 'cammer' engine in nascar racing, the hemi would have been knocked down a few rungs on the nascar ladder, and we both know that's true.
pFhUCKpFhACE 1 year ago
Also...the charger is butt-fugly. Mopar had some of the worst automotive styling back in those days, with the exception of the Cuda, which was actually a great looking car. Mustangs looked good up until the mid 70's, and then they kinda went to sh!t. IMO, GM had some of the best looking muscle cars back in the day, until about the early 80's, and then they seemed to forget how to build a good car.
pFhUCKpFhACE 1 year ago
@pFhUCKpFhACE lol i doubt women would like to be stuck with you in your rustang dead along side the road, you seem to forget its still a ford lol. And get real in nascar ford and dodge were neck and neck, ford had its crammer engine but dodge had its dual overhead cam 4v per cyl hemi that would have spanked it. It was nascar whos owned by chevy who put an end to them. The charger is one of the greatest tv and movie cars of all time all ford had was the rustang the rest were crap, you have no eye.
68chargerlover 1 year ago
@68chargerlover - haha...I believe the term 'lipstick on a pig' originated by all the people who were trying to describe the women they saw in the passenger seats of chargers...and sometimes in the driver's seat too.
Secondly, I don't own a Mustang. Not that I wouldn't buy one, but it would have to be the right one. As for chargers, I wouldn't be caught dead in one. And you laugh about the rustang, but everybody here knows all about Dodge's "quality". Simply, some of the worst cars on the road.
pFhUCKpFhACE 1 year ago
@pFhUCKpFhACE sorry you date pigs wearing lipstick, but with your brains I bet thats all you can get. All muscle cars built in the sixtys handled the same dumbass. And if you look at the behind the scenes of the movie you wuld learn that the charger had more power then the stang and handled better. So just keep your big mouth shut kido.
68chargerlover 1 year ago
@68chargerlover - old man...clearly you're drunk on turpentine again. To quote you, "ALL muscle cars built in the sixtys handled the same dumbass".
Clearly, your dodgy charger handles the same dumbass...but otherwise, your statement is just plainly wrong. There's a reason the camaros and mustangs survived, sold well, and raced in all sorts of motorsports...while dodge, meanwhile, just went broke.
pFhUCKpFhACE 1 year ago
@pFhUCKpFhACE some handled better then other, go ahead and look at the behind the scenes of this movie. Even today if both these cars were compared equally the charger would still win. For some reason you have a vendeta against the charger, theres a reason the charger is a legend, hell the charger daytona has won more trophies then the camaros or mustangs. And there are more fords alone side the road dead then anyother car company, go ahead take a road trip and count the different makes lol.
68chargerlover 1 year ago
@68chargerlover - actually, I don't have a vendetta against them, I just am not seeing them through beer goggles, like you must be. As I said, dodge always had reasonably good engines, it's just the rest of the car that was crap, and that continues on to this day. If you want to believe the charger is a legend, then go ahead, but then, by the same token, the mustang must be even more of a legend...as is the GT-40, the Thunderbolt, and a few other Ford-engined cars, like the Shelby Cobra...
pFhUCKpFhACE 1 year ago
(cont.)...the Shelby Daytona coupe, the DeTomaso Pantera and Mangusta, and the Bricklin SV1...just to name a few. There must be a reason most of those performance car manufacturers chose Ford engines, and not Chrysler ones. If you want to throw Chevy into the mix, you could mention the Camaro, Corvette, and all the Can-Am cars that ran Chevy big- and small-blocks, though that would be almost too many teams and cars to mention. Again, there's a good reason Chrysler quit making the charger.
pFhUCKpFhACE 1 year ago
@pFhUCKpFhACE the hemi was an amazing engine and where would the mustang be today if not for carol shelby and Lee Iacoca? Sorry you have no clue on cars maybe get in one once. More people know the charger over the gt-40 and more people know what a hemi is vs other engines. The charger has been in a ton off movies and tv shows, it has attitude and is a very cool car so yes it is a legend. So think what you will and knock cool muscle cars, your a waste of time.
68chargerlover 1 year ago
@68chargerlover - Do you even have a point? Iacocca, working with Ford was able to create the Mustang...when he went to lowly Chrysler, all they could offer was the crappy K-Car. Good job, nopar. Again, with Ford, Shelby made awesome cars happen. With chryslur, all they could offer was a clapped-out Omni (nice work on the Omni, guys). And the ONLY reason anyone even knew about chargers...the Dukes of Hazzard. And once more, good work, dodged...good work.

Charger-1/4 mile at 14 flat. Mustang-1/4 mile at 15.5. Not to mention the Charger's top speed is about 20 mph faster. 2:45 to 2:52 is about what that chase would look like.
