I still don't understand why Top Gear says buy this car because is faster etc. My friend has a $1.6 Million Bugatti, and he has never been able to drive it over 130MPH in the USA, so what good is it to have a car that can go over 200 miles per hour when in REAL LIFE you are not allowed to go that fast, and you shouldn't, is not safe, (you are risking your license to be taking away, and if you get a flat tire or loose control (going that fast) you have a very good chance of loosing your life
James doesn't know how to launch the Vauxhall. I hope it was a short shoot too. The jag and 300 can't make it too long with out a trip to the repair shop!
@lemansguy72 Based on what info? I have 85k on my S type R with no problems. 2005 jags were one of the top three most reliable autos made. And um Honda didn't make the list.
@STEADICAMPRO i was with you until u said honda didnt make the list. link plz i highly doubt that jaguar was one of the top 3, but im giving u a chance to give a link. i wanna see this
Because they test the cars making sharp turns going over 50MPH, we will never make sharp turns on the streets going over speed limit on the streets, and on the freeways speed limit is 70MPH and there are no sharp turns, so in real life, (not a TV show) comfort, looks, price and reliability should be what makes the best car for you to buy. In this case is the Chrysler 300, Jaguars do brake down often and parts are expansive, I've owned just about every car out there and the 300 is a great car.
The realty is that we should NOT decide what car we should buy according to what The Guys of Top Gear have to say about cars, simply because their opinions on cars are made with the cars going faster than 50 miles per hour, were in most of the streets in the USA the maximum speed limit is 50MPH, therefor none of their test apply, unless you plan to go on a cop chase or rob a bank, and in any were in the world is not safe to drive over 50MPH on the city streets, even if there's no speed limit
JAGUAR SUCKS DICK. my neighbors breaks down twice a year. last month the trunk wouldn't close so he had to tie it down, the a/c breaks every 6 weeks and numerous times it wouldn't start. If thats what Jaguar offers for a $73,000 2009 Jaguar XF, thats sad:( AWFUL CAR
Dont be an idiot, just because another company owns Jaguar and Land Rover, it dosn't become the property of the companies country of origin. Jaguar and LandRover re still British companies and brands, that just so happen to be subsideries of another company not country.
@blacuraRL Your country is the one that signs the cheques, and not the one that designs the cars, builds the cars, and drives the cars. This would be like believing you're Chinese because you work at a Chinese restaurant. :P
@UberMan5000 Well actually, that would be more like being white and owning the rights to Chinese food period. Tata motors owns the rights to Jag and Range. The rest is irrelevant to me. That's great if the Brits build 'em with care and that sales increase, that just means more money for Tata and India in general. The next 20 years will be great for India and China, wait and see.
@blacuraRL 20-year periods are usually good for newly industrialized countries. It's good to see the value you put into a nation is how much money other nations make for them. :P
he just doesn't understand that the Chrysler is supposed to be a Big American Sedan and that it's platform mate the Dodge Charger would've been a match for this comparison
i think the vauxhalls best its cheap fun and simple.

@WorldVacationVillas
Race tracks? Autobahns? Mexico? Exclusivity? Acceleration? Engineering appreciation? Looks? Picking up bitches? Are any of those good enough reasons?
Whats the point of a fancy "Villa", all you do is sleep and shit there.

Wrong, not the British, the Indians have won. Why? Because Jaguar, along with Range Rover is owned by Tata Motors. An Indian Company.
