I own the same locomotive . I have not converted to P2 but I may. My particularly unit runs very smoothly and I sware I think it could pull 50 cars if ona a large enough layout.
i am soooo in love with that old Proto-1 articulated chuff sound!!!!!!!! god i need to get one of these original locomotives. anyone know where i can find some (that have not been Proto-2 converted)?
So do I. If you look at the side rods going in the opposite direction than they should be, it looks like the engine is walking on four feet. In the case of other engines though, I'd say their long-legged and walking on their knees. I hope that's not offensive.
OK, I know it's a steam loco in what would be normally considered tail end first, but for some reason I just don't like it's looks....something only a mother could love, I guess.....nice video though...5/5
I heard it was due to the length of the tunnels, they were so long and narrow the smoke would asfixiate the engineers because it would accumulate in the cab. so they put the cab first to prevent this from happening.
The AC 6 had the same tractive effort of all the AC`s through AC 12. AC 5 and lower were less powerful. Beautiful!

is it possible to get an ac12 type cab forward with a rectange tender?
brakevantoad77 3 years ago
AC-10 and above did not have vanderbilt tenders

@trainboy94
AC-7 and above actually. AC-6's were the last class of Cab Forwards to have the old vanderbilt tenders.

My PS1 wabash won't run with the track voltage. How do you do this?
buggiecar 4 years ago
Try replacing the battery. If that dosnt work its time to upgrade it to a PS2 sound and command system. The upgrade is probaly the best solution.
