  • will you father my children itzhak?!!!! please!

  • ...he sight played this? This makes all violinists look bad if he did indeed sight play it

  • @darkgarb555 There is no way he sight-played it - I know and still play this piece, and have amazing sightreading skills (if I may say so myself), and there is no way in HELL anyone can sight play this haha. Probably said it just for the amusement

  • @rissmuso He handled paraplegia really well then!! :D

  • Makes every single other recording of this, no matter how great, seem dull in comparison.

He sets an incredibly fast tempo without seeming fast in that it is neither sloppy not rushed but instead at a tempo both he and his accompanist can play easily.

  • Incredible! Played without a score! Hardly sight reading.

  • R u sure he is sight reading that?

  • @Lynnchou8 that's the point mate, he's not

  • and plus.... how on EARTH can he play like that sitting on a chair? X

  • @feiyahu he's a paraplegic

  • Its actually depressing how well he can play, he plays everything really fast and it's still so perfect... He makes everything look so easy! This piece is a great one, I really enjoy plaing it :D X

  • Just get off my screen. NOW.

  • Wow such talent i was mesmerized by his performance

  • love love!!!

  • He plays incredible wonderful

  • Ken needs a haircut.

  • FAVOLOSO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • como español me siento orgulloso de Falla; como ser humano me siento en deuda con Itzhsk

  • and i thought snape died.....

  • @gtyz hahaha!!!

  • terrible pianist !!!!

  • how can people dislike this ????

  • wooow....pianists feeling, perlmans feeling are on the same line...

  • Magnífica esta interpretación de Itzhak Perlman sobre uno de los temas más famosos de Manuel de Falla.

Destacada la predsencia del ex.presidente y su esposa.

  • Who has the sheet music? I've been looking everywhere =(

  • So good is his sight-reading that he doesn't even have to look at the sheet music. I bet if you hid his violin, he could play it almost as well without the instrument. I just wish he would come to London occasionally and spend less time pandering to White House dignitaries.

  • I thought he was gonna sightplay it? It sounds too good.

  • @altair3feb lies. all lies ;)

i'm playing this in an eisteddfod in about an hour... its so hard D:

  • @spudo303 I'm playing this tomorrow in a gala dinner in front of Dubai's ruler tomorrow. :D Aaaand 11 days after that in my Diploma exam.

  • @altair3feb ... show off xD

    good luck! :D

  • @spudo303 XD How was yours?

  • @altair3feb not bad! i stuffed up on the bit at 1:24, but other than that it was great! :D

  • @spudo303 Cool cool. I also have this mistake at 1:24. :(

  • @altair3feb haha, at least you weren't playing in front of the president of the usa like this guy :P

  • @spudo303 I didn't play it in front anyone yet. LOL

  • magnifico!

  • Speed!!!!

  • My favorite violinist

  • Very beautiful !!! Bardzo pieknie !!!

  • can someone senf me this music sheet?

  • amazing,

    thank you Nodame

  • I Think Mr Perlman was bad lucked that day ! Did M.,Mr Reagan had a link with that sort of music ? President Ronald Reagan was in touch with country music; did he appreciated ?

  • @Sylvain894 Reagan was also a Beach Boys fan. I doubt Perlman would have played at the White House if Ronnie didn't have an appreciation for classical music.

  • the best of de Falla/F.Kreisler and I.Perlman!

  • This man just makes everyone else sound so ordinary. Mind-blowingly brilliant. Thanks, Nodame2006 - these are some of my favourite vids on YouTube.

  • Is it just me or he's going a little too fast?

It's a great performance...but it just feels in a hurry

  • the guy with glasses is pretty decent...

    :P

  • How many times did he play for the president(s) omfg so awesomeeee

  • I get never get tired of listen it

  • Wawiiiiiiiii!

  • Menuda puta mierda. Parece un guiri borracho buscando emociones en Benidorm. Zapatero, a tus zapatos, atontao.

  • @QuintaBrigada1 pido desculpas, perro eres un tonto....

    este es casi perfecto

  • always fresh, sweet and calls for more.

  • Fabuleux Perlman

  • @gluups

Fantastic! Thanks Monique for heads up and thanks to Nodame2006 for sharing!

  • Have just started learning this - seems I have a HELL of a long way to go!

  • It's such a privilege to hear and see Perlman play. I really love his style of playing! Bravo!

  • Amazing performance!!

    Thanks for posting.

  • What a shame !!! Regans wife talking while Perlan already playing !!!

  • Thanks for posting. It was beautiful!

  • q hermosura dios genio Perlman

  • i think this piece is much more fun when played at a faster clip like this

  • where can i get these partitions PLEASE!!!! help :( i need it,for school

    THX!

  • isn't suck a bit that people who gives a shit have the privilege of listening and seeing Izhak Perlman first row? Ronald and Nancy seem to enjoy Izhak's comedy very much, but as soon as he starts playing suddenly they find they have things to gossip about better than attending to the music. Lovely.

  • Definitely the best recording of this piece

  • I struggled so much to learn this and he makes it look like its childish! Screw Perlman.

  • personally I think he could have played it a little slower, but it's still fantastic!!!! I just think it would feel more like a true dance if he slowed it down slightly. But it's amazing still!!

  • Enormous technique but the dynamics are not really changing...........

  • BRAVO

  • Perlman's playing is immaculate. : ) Love this interpretation.

And he's definitely the wittiest violinist I've ever seen.

  • I love Perlman but I actually I agree with penuchek that this version is way too fast. Still good but not as good as Heifetz.

  • try listening to the Heifetz version.... he's in no hurry,,,,,, whatever,........

  • what's your hurry?

  • Crazy how perfectly in tune and agile he is with those thick stubby fingers!!!

  • @StringBoi Sausages, not fingers...

  • this guy's tone is insane...

  • Marvelous, amazing

    Perlman is the best

  • BRAVO I AM A FAN OF PERLMAN

  • Looks so easy for him : )

  • Que bella interpretación, en particular soy fan de Manuel de Falla! Sensacional!

  • This is the real music, and the real musicans!!!

  • maravilloso

  • Love it

  • what a wonderful performance! I will hopefully play this as part of my diploma in a few months. perlman is simply incredible

  • Most splendid virtuoso!

  • this is a nice piece!

  • excellently!

  • He plays it so freely.

  • Now that's class at the White House.... not like this year's choices.

  • LOL - Did he really sight played this. Hm, my conception of the Universe is broken. I'm crying in feotal position now. Kidding. He's a Master, I like almost every of his interpretation.

  • How can he sight read without music? LOL.....Perlman's interpretaions are always wonderful.

  • i love itzhaks sense of humor :) and his amazing talent.. i want him to teach me. too bad he's getting all old.. =[

  • He still teaches. :)

  • transported me to another world.....awesome!

  • que gran compositor es nuestro falla y que bien tocado por perlman

    5/5

  • thats not sight reading !! xD

  • I'm learning this piece right now and this video is officially going into my favorites! It's the kind of performance that both encourages you to practice while despairing you because it's so good...

  • Oh man, you're speakin the truth... I feel that every time i hop on you tube. Sigh.

  • OH! So nice!!! but very diligent pianist (a bit sweety)

  • ohh!!!very good pianist..u now?he don't must be dence there!!ha ha

  • Just INCREDIBLE ! FANTASTIC ! I also love his humour,I love when he says a word or two to the audience:-)..and then he starts PLAYING !...and he is GOD !!!

  • This is amazing. When I was learning this piece, only a little while ago, I would watch this non-stop. My mum always wanted me to play along... but I said I couldn't spoil Mr. Perlman's performance! Lol.

Anyway, great piece (once u can play it!) - it's extremely hard!

  • i know right, it's extremely hard but he plays it with absolute ease.

  • i like the new format!

  • Bravo! Such a spirited performance!

  • 10x

  • wonybunyeats! What do you mean Queen of England....? She's Queen of Britain, get it right ye...

  • What a nerve wrecking experience! playing in front of the queen of England as well as the president! I wish i could handle pressure like him...

  • Что тут можно сказать? Гений!!!!

  • yeah he's ok... ;)

  • I wish I could play like him!

  • a true maestro! you can feel the modesty in his great performance! thank you!

  • he played this like it was a very simple piece. I am so jealous of him.

P/S: I like the pianist hair...so shining and bouncy. LOL

  • The pianist is Ken Noda, and I completely agree with you. His hair IS shiny and bouncy.

  • Ah, yes. Must be. Performed at the White House, the info says.

  • Are that Ronald and Nancy Reagan in the first row?

  • excelente!

  • awesome!!

  • Love your work!

  • Fabulous, thanks Nodema for sharing your Perlman collection. A Perlmaniac like me appreciates it so much !

  • great brawooo fantastic
