@darkgarb555 There is no way he sight-played it - I know and still play this piece, and have amazing sightreading skills (if I may say so myself), and there is no way in HELL anyone can sight play this haha. Probably said it just for the amusement
Makes every single other recording of this, no matter how great, seem dull in comparison.
He sets an incredibly fast tempo without seeming fast in that it is neither sloppy not rushed but instead at a tempo both he and his accompanist can play easily.
Its actually depressing how well he can play, he plays everything really fast and it's still so perfect... He makes everything look so easy! This piece is a great one, I really enjoy plaing it :D X
This is an actual sightread. See, Perlman is so good at sight-reading that he doesn't even have to look at the sheet music. In fact, he could put most modern virtuosos to shame without a violin.
And Perlman doesn't use auto-tune. Quite the contrary, auto-tune uses Perlman.
So good is his sight-reading that he doesn't even have to look at the sheet music. I bet if you hid his violin, he could play it almost as well without the instrument. I just wish he would come to London occasionally and spend less time pandering to White House dignitaries.
I Think Mr Perlman was bad lucked that day ! Did M.,Mr Reagan had a link with that sort of music ? President Ronald Reagan was in touch with country music; did he appreciated ?
@Sylvain894 Reagan was also a Beach Boys fan. I doubt Perlman would have played at the White House if Ronnie didn't have an appreciation for classical music.
isn't suck a bit that people who gives a shit have the privilege of listening and seeing Izhak Perlman first row? Ronald and Nancy seem to enjoy Izhak's comedy very much, but as soon as he starts playing suddenly they find they have things to gossip about better than attending to the music. Lovely.
personally I think he could have played it a little slower, but it's still fantastic!!!! I just think it would feel more like a true dance if he slowed it down slightly. But it's amazing still!!
LOL - Did he really sight played this. Hm, my conception of the Universe is broken. I'm crying in feotal position now. Kidding. He's a Master, I like almost every of his interpretation.
I'm learning this piece right now and this video is officially going into my favorites! It's the kind of performance that both encourages you to practice while despairing you because it's so good...
Just INCREDIBLE ! FANTASTIC ! I also love his humour,I love when he says a word or two to the audience:-)..and then he starts PLAYING !...and he is GOD !!!
This is amazing. When I was learning this piece, only a little while ago, I would watch this non-stop. My mum always wanted me to play along... but I said I couldn't spoil Mr. Perlman's performance! Lol.
Anyway, great piece (once u can play it!) - it's extremely hard!
will you father my children itzhak?!!!! please!
