Having been to China many times and having relatives over there I think i can identify the phenomenon. China is a country that has recently been modernized. If you go over there you will see people in big ass cars sharing the street with motherfuckers pulling carts. In places it can be like a 3rd world country and in others just like the US. The point is that many people still have the 3rd world mentality in them. They are completely focused on putting food on the table and not losing their job
