Soviet union was a communist state &against religion which is different from Western European states that keep religion private. In secular societies, the "religious freedom" being provided for does not only intend 2 give a citizen the right to believe in whatever religion he wants 2, but also to live a life FREE from religion. I feel that this is becoming increasingly difficult for an atheist like me.I feel literally harassed by constant religious propaganda and the request for "respect" of islam incl. not making jokes, critizising etc which allows THEM to demonstrate their beliefs yet prohibits MY views in public

We all know how Islamic theocracies operate, jizya on non-Muslims, banning the construction of churches and temples (or at least reducing the number of them), the list goes on.
