"It's ironic that everyone is so focused on the forum rules." Why? Breaking the forum rules is why Meyer got thrown out. Nothing ironic about it for intelligent people.
"issues he were raising are slightly more important" Than violating the rights of every other attendee and the forum organizers? Nope. Absolutely not.
"we are punished for it" He was punished for breaking the law, not for his questions.

I would say that Meyer received a valuable bit of education. Break the forum rules > get thrown out. Refuse to leave > get forced to leave. Resist the police > get overwhelmed. Plead guilty to 2 misdemeanors to avoid felonly convictions & expulsion from school > learn to act like an adult.
Had he simply respected the rules of the forum & left when asked like an adult, none of this would have happened.
He was ejected by ACCENT (the forum organizers) for repeatedly violating their rules.
When he refused to leave, he was in violation of several laws. The police attempted to simply escort him out & send him on his way, but he was having none of that. At that point they placed him under arrest & he continued resisting >> taser.

"erasing freedom" Perhaps, but this is not an example of it. Meyer's rights were not violated even a little bit.
"still don't see what forum rules he violated"
All forum rules to be moderated > Meyer jumped the line & ignored the moderators.
1 question > 6 without pausing for an answer
30 seconds > Well over 2 minutes.
No vulgarity > "blowjob"
No disruptive behavior > he was disruptive & disrespectful.
"tad obsurd" Your opinion. It was legal & according to policy.

And you can bet he won't forget these lessons.
