  • I think that horse should get a tail trim, its dangerous.

  • You could tell this horse was fixing to rear the second this video started.

  • That horse was really ancy before the scream, but that probably sent him over the egde. But, it also coulve been something the rider did to make him tip. But, we will never know so its not worth arguing about.

  • I dont think that horse want 2nd place haha how scary!

  • I'm not familiar with this breed, but are they ment to have long toes?

  • @bettsa15 Their hooves are kept longer. Also with Saddlebreds, and TWH they use a wedge with a steel shoe over that. It causes that high action step that the crowds love. I have a TWH and couldn't imagine stacking him...he's too tall as it is!!

  • @bettsa15 long toes, weighted shoes. They do a whole bunch or wacky stuff to "enhance" their gait.

  • it got mad cause it didn't win lol

  • Show horses are accustomed to various noises. They have their moments just like we do

  • My horse was a saddle seat horse (though he is a morgan), initially trained the same way, the training has messed him up! I cant TOUCH a whip, and thats with being in a big arena, without him freaking.

  • The small amount of screaming wouldn't of bothered that horse. The music shouldn't have either. If you have a show horse, they have to be exposed to this kind of stuff. Possibly something else went wrong.

  • lol its like "NO THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MEEEE!"

  • Saddlebred show horses are used to lots of noise, they are trained to tolerate it. This horse had some other issue going on. Possibly riders inexperience, don't know.

  • saddlebreds are skittish to begin with... my neighbor has them and i refuse to ride them because i wouldnt feel safe... i feel safer on my own horse whos a training jumper and hes an ex barrel horse...

  • @DIEGOxRULES Well it depends, all horses are different. I've ridden saddlebreds all my life since I was 10, as well as quarter horses, and there have been some that are skiddish and some that were extremely calm. Every horses's temperment is different :)

  • Wow that horse is huge O.O

  • it was just upset that it didn't win, so it had to find a way to steal the spotlight! haha

  • I'll admitt personally i don't like Saddlebreds, but gosh these horses are simply beautifully Stunning, =]

  • Uh maybe you shouldn't be yanking/hanging on your horse's mouth? It IS a piece of metal in there, ya know...

  • Also did you notice the guys pull on the horse mouth??? Hmm? Well he did and he shouldn't have in a full bridle and lord knows how high the port might be in his bit.

  • you know, this may not be stupid to u guys... but wat pisses me off is the winner didnt even stop her horse and at least look at the guy... now thats snottyness...

  • wow look at their tails!! beautiful!!

  • well actually i have been to MANY saddlebred shows, i have always thought all the screaming was not necessary as the horses seem to perform nicely without it, the horses elegance does not seem to match with all the screaming, seems incongruent to me, ruins the nice image of the saddlebred...

  • The brown & white one reminds me of my old saddlebred. :(

  • she reared cause she was angry she lost it obvious duhhhhhhhh hahaha:)

  • the person who screamed....................ugh

  • its not the screaming, these horses are used to it. people actually do it to help get the horses excited. maybe it was the ribbons.

  • Does anyone know what breed of horse this is?

  • @AlleMeineLiebe These are American Saddlebred show horses. For more information about the breed, go to the site for the American Saddlebred Horse Association asha.net.

  • @AlleMeineLiebe Also see youtube.com/watch?v=QSb6OYDzOrg

  • @AlleMeineLiebe It's the American Saddlebred, possibly one of the most amazing and versatile breeds alive!

  • i think the horse was mad cuz he didnt win lol

  • Well I saw that one coming poor lady I rather have a bucking horse then rearing one

  • haha he knew he didnt get champ..he was pretty mad

  • Good thing she didn't get seriously injured. Leave it to a Mare!

  • well at least the horse didn't take off

and i 'm glad to see that the rider was ok and got back on

but other than that, alls well that ends well

  • perhaps a little less screamng from the crowd would help prevent these accidents....

  • @bayyliner The horse was getting a bit nancy before the scream. But the scream probably tipped it over the edge

  • @bayyliner you've obviosuly never been to a saddlebred show haha. all we do is scream, if your horse can't take it, get outta the ring!

  • awww i think maybe the horse was happy to get reserve lol just showing off a little ;P
