@MultiJoeisthebest There is no need to get upset if you are unable to make this box. Origami is about challenges and patience. There are some "simple" models that I find very difficult, but I never get upset at the person who is trying to show me how to make it.
I am sorry that you dislike my video so intensely. Perhaps if you will try to be patient, it will not upset you so much.
Many people have said that they like my videos. Perhaps it's an individual thing.
I would just suggest using a lighter color paper next time. The dark paper made it a little difficult to follow = and sometimes your hands were in the way just a little.
Wow! I was trying a some boxes from other people and failed each one. I saw this one, and i decided to try it and see if it worked, and i was surprised at how simple this was! Thank you so much for this clip! And I noticed on some parts of the clip it glitched and was kind of hard to understand, but I made it through!
I am not the one who designed this. This is "traditional origami," meaning that this is a very old design. Sorry that you found it a "bit boring," but this is traditional origami. It can't all be dragons and cars and whatnot.
heh... Well, unfortunately I don't know how to make an origami rose. I cannot find directions that I can decipher. If I ever do though, and learn how to make a rose, I will post a video.
You can get washi paper from a variety of stores. Arts & crafts stores like Hobby Lobby and Michaels, for example, carry some origami paper. Art supply stores even have some, though they are a bit more expensive. Japanese book stores have it usually. I cannot tell you which store exactly because I don't know what you have around you.
If you are in New York City, I can tell you that Kinokunia across from Bryant Park has an excellent selection of origami paper. Or, if you are in Chicago, I can tell you that there is a gift store in Chinatown that has a fair selection. You can always purchase origami paper online, of course. Paper jade is a good site, and they offer free shipping.
