I got some tales about the trinity, fished it several times. bein from ohio, just to stand in that scenery, is a treat, just like my buddy hookin one that ran 50 yds in flash, paused to flip us off, spit the fly and keep on goin! livin it lovin it
I came to view this because, every time I browse around on the web and see beautiful looking fish, a lot of them say 'trinity' in the caption. They are some of the prettiest, most genetically diverse looking fish I've ever seen. Maybe someday I'll be up there after a run to Humbold county in september for the green caddis hatch. Very nice music, and great fish. Not the land of cookie cutters, for sure. @ 3:35. Oh my lord, what a gorgeous creature.
Yep, good eye. A size 10 Red Copper John. That is a very effective pattern out there in the late winter. If you look carefully the fish also has a golden stone fly pattern in his upper jaw. Some how the fish managed to take two flies in one gulp! He wasn't getting off...

What kind of camera did you use? Did you just hold it under the water for the underwater shots?

@BeehlerMJ I used a Sanyo Xacti underwater camera. Takes both videos and pictures and fits nicely in my fishing vest...

Great video, nice steelhead. Was that a Copper John that was in that steelheads mouth in the end?
