  • Walmart has it

  • @cocobunnycutey22 Thanks for watching!! I didn't know Walmart was selling the actual Shellac brand now. I've only seen similar soak-off products in mine. Thanks for sharing!

  • hi i have a question about the shellac. can u sue the top and base coat along with theuv but use regular polish like OPI or CHANEL as ur color? Would that work and extend ur manicure or do u have to exclusivelyuse the shellack nail colors as well?? thank you so much for doing this reivew.

  • @perfectlyric Hi!! Some people have tried this but the tricky thing is that the regular nail polish has to be completely dry in between the coats. You would probably have a better chance of using a general soak off gel for the base and top coats. Hope this helps!

  • where are you located in alabama ?

  • @ogtco2009 Hi!! I'm in the Birmingham area

  • I want long nails so bad! I just have the habit of biting my nails ugh!

  • @MiaReynoso Hi!! Do you still bite them when you have polish or enhancements on? Some of my friends noticed that they stop biting when they keep their nails done. Hope to hear from you soon!

  • @LovelysInstinct um.well,i sometimes do bite my nails when they are polished. but i painted my nails a very pretty color once and kept it for probably 2 wks...when i took off my nail polish,my nails were super long, but something in my head made me bite them off. i put on nail strengther and nail miracle growth on all the time, but it peels off without me biting them.i try to keep my hands busy most of the time. :p

  • Hi I just had my nails done with Shellac yesterday, I wanted to have nail art done on my ring fingers, but I dont think they understood what I want wanting. My questions is after shellac is done can you after the fact have nail art done to nails that have top coat already on them?

  • @zgirl251 Hi! You can add nail art but before the top coat is added. If after the fact you want them done, then you lightly buff the top coat (so its not shiny) add the nail art then redo the top coat and cure:-) Let me know if this helps!

  • Really informative! I wasn't sure about which colors I wanted until I saw your video. Thanks so much!

  • @Cricket122391 Happy I could help:-)

  • Hi! i wanted to ask you are you a nail tech? How long have you been doing nails? Y. ou're videos are great! I was going to tell you that i'll just go and buy Beau. I couldn't find any swatches of Beau and Decadence. The ones i did find were only on 1 finger .Shellac ROCKS!! i do hair and and this STAYS! no chipped nails by day 2!

  • @chocolatehoney3 Hi! I'm so happy my vids are helpful:-) I'm still earning my hours for my license (doing cosmetology) but I have been doing/studying nails for years. I started doing them professionally almost 3 years (did an apprenticeship for 2 of those years). Shellac and Gelish are good choices for hairstylists especially when your nails are in water constantly. I really like Gelish too!

  • Hi! I wanted to know if you have the color Beau? Do you have a swatch of that? I've bought Negligee,Fedora,Wildfire,Cream Puff,Hot Pop Pink and Tutti Frutti. I'm debating on Mother of Pearl and Beau.

  • @chocolatehoney3 Hi!! Sorry, I don't have that color. I actually haven't gotten any of the new collection colors. CND's website has good pictures and descriptions of each color so you might want to try there. Let me know if this helps:-)

  • im in alabama, where can i purchase this item?

  • @shwtym10 Hi!! You can purchase from Cosmoprof directly or through a distributor within Alabama to get it quickly. Cosmoprof is good with keeping the colors in stock now, however, you must have a license or be a beauty student. I live there too and will be selling my personal stash very soon. If you want to purchase mine, stay tuned to fb and twitter for when they'll be listed. I'll probably announce it sometime this week.

  • @tttmiller54 Hi! Shellac is more so for natural nails however you can apply it to gels and acrylics. Regular polish adheres to enhancements & doesn't chip, therefore Shellac wouldn't be cost effective. CND sells Shellac colors in regular polish. Hope this helps, if not let me know:-)

  • thats colour you have on is fab!!

  • @BeautyTherapyPro Thanks:-)

  • I have a question - What 2 colors will you use to get an American Manicure look. Which is a more natural look for Black people. I was thinking of Clearly Pink for the base coat and Cream Puff for the tips. What do you think?

  • @Marmic0704 Hi There! That could work but the Cream Puff is still going to be more white like the french manicure. My sister likes American and she opts for the sheer pink only:-) But her natural nails are white so it balances out. Did you try the Cream Puff on your tips yet?

  • Hi, I am thinking about getting this product.. but I have a favorite all time nail color that I wear all the time but its regular nail polish by OPI. If i use the Shellac Base Coat and Top Coat and the UV Light, of course, Can I still use my fave standard nail polish?

  • @ThisFemmeKat Hi! You can try to do the base and top coat but I can't guarantee how long it will last on your nails:-) You want to make sure that the nail polish is completely dry though. However, keep in mind that Shellac is made to work as a system in order to get optimal results, but it doesn't hurt to experiment on yourself. I'm my own guinea pig:-) Hope this helps!

  • Does the shellac do the same to your nails as the acrylic, for example make them thin and soft?

    phelmlin

  • @phelmlinger Hi!! If your nails aren't very strong before application and you wear it numerous times in a row then you will experience some nail weakness. Since it helps your nails to grow some, the nail that is growing underneath will be slightly weak after removing the product. When I wear it once for 1 1/2-2 weeks, remove it, and try something else then I don't usually see a problem. Its only when I use it for 4+ weeks straight that I notice a problem. Hope this helps:-)

  • love shellac, just adding it to my business. I will be watching your videos loving your layering techniques and I could listen to your accent all day it fab. x

  • @SuperNailqueen Aww, thanks:-)

  • I love the color that you have on! Did you do one coat of Tropix or 2, and then one coat of Negligee? Thanks!

  • @321njryan Thanks!! I did 2 coats of Tropix and 1 coat of Negligee.

  • hello! :) one question, im thinking about buying the shellac uv base coat and top coat from cosmoprof and i was wondering if you need to buy the uv light, because i know at salons they do use the light but if your doing it at home to yourself do you need the light??

  • @lupymaria590 Hi!! Yes, you must have the UV lamp in order to use the system. Without the lamp, the products will never dry. My Cosmoprof doesn't have any of the lamps anymore so I'm not sure where you could get it from.

  • do you do this yourself at home?

  • @Rhinoceroswellness Hi!! Yes, I do everything to my own nails:-)

  • I plan on getting my Shellac nails really soon. I like getting designs on my nails. Would I be able to do that with the Shellac polish?

  • @IAmCrownedRoyalty Hi!! Yes, you can get designs with your Shellac application:-)

  • hey Ms. Lady...im in Birmingham....where in AL are u located?

  • @thicndawst00 Hi There!! Small world, I'm from there as well:-)

  • Gorgeous! Thank you for the review!

  • @Copperbat Thanks for watching!!!

  • where can we buy the shellac nail polishes, base coat & top coat?

  • @bkajanetty Hi!! Premiernailsource(dot)com and transdesign(dot)com are two sites that sell it. Hope this helps:-)

  • Hi, I'd like to ask you a question. I read in some blog or something that you can make something like Shellac sandwich by using only Shellac base and Scellac top and a regular polish between them. Have you tried something like this and does it last as long as the original system?

  • @puffy7fluffy Hi!! I have received similar requests to see how it works. But honestly, I think if you want to use a gel like base and top coat, it would be better to try a traditional or soak off gel bc it works good with keeping the polish from chipping. I'm going to experiment with the shellac base/top coats and regular polish and let you know how it goes:-)

  • Thank you love your reviews!

  • Sorry doll, sometimes text comes off as rude, not my intention. I was responding to an earlier comment that it was NOT a gel. You're reply was absolutely right. It is a hybrid and it is fabulous! I have been using gel for years and this is def the best :)

  • Shellac is a GEL, which is why you need a UV light to cure it, and why it lasts so long.

  • @bkmartinez123 Hi! I'm going to try to put this nicely even though your comment came off as being rude. Shellac is not a complete GEL. Its a hybrid of gel and polish mixture, that's why it is possible to be applied in a polish like form. It does not apply like traditional gels or soak off gels. Trust I know, because I have used them all.

  • Do you know if I could use this with the nail envy products, without altering the results? I'm trying to grow out my natural nails and the only way I've been able to minimize breakage is by applying the nail envy beneath my polish.

  • @ELJones00 Hi!! You probably want to stick with your nail envy routine bc your natural nail has to be completely bare and not shiny when applying the base coat of Shellac. However, shellac adds a minimal amount of strength to nails (like a nail strengthener) so if you wear it for 2 weeks, your nails should be protected and not break. Hope this helps, if not let me know:-)

  • Hi!

Does Shellac work on gel nails? cause it seems so nice, but i always wear Cnd brisa gel, cause my nails always break if i don't.

  • @Mylle123 Hi!! Shellac is made more so for natural nails because it adds a little strength and it gives natural nail wearers longer wear of polish. However, you can still get it over gel nails (I know people who have done it before) but it kind of defeats the purpose bc polish lasts at least two weeks on enhancements anyway. If you like the shellac colors, you can find similar regular polish colors from the CND colours line. I hope this helps!! If not, let me know:-)

  • actually we all should i take orders n whe i get them they will b the 1st one 2 get them were do u live im im illinois

  • @lilchivi03 I'm in Alabama. I'll actually be in Illinois this week:-) I'll have to ask the store here about it.

  • 12 new color come out in march for shellac so reserve urs asap... i work at cosmoprof n take orders n call people as i get them best way to go cuz they just fly out the shelf..

  • @lilchivi03 Thanks for the heads up!! I wasn't sure on the month. Will cosmoprof taking reservations for the new ones before they hit the shelfs? The one here acts like they have no idea on new stuff:-(

  • I got it done and love it.

Question, will it last as long if you don't use the UV machine to dry?

I was thinking I can do it myself. I paid $35 plus tip.

A regular mani in NYC can cost you $6.

Having my manicure last is worth it however I'm on a budget.

  • @KTS718 Hi!!! It won't last or dry bc it must be cured under a uv lamp. Without the lamp, it doesn't work or last:-)

  • What do you think abou Gelish? I went in to get the Shellac done and the lady was not doing it because of stock issues with the company. She did the Gelish on me and it appears to be the same exact thing and Gelish has more colors (48). So far I love mine and have found a place here in Atlanta to buy the Gelish and Shellac for an awesome price. Let me know.

  • @lhicks1354 Hi!!! I have heard great reviews on the gelish:-) I have been unable to find good prices online but most people like the fact that the line has a broader color range than shellac and some people have actually experienced better results as well. If you've had Gelish and like it, I would stick with it (since you already know what to expect). Shellac is very hard to find because of stock issues and I know distributors recommend Gelish as a perfect replacement. Hope this helps!

  • Thanks for the info about Sheelac. I love the Tropics color on your nails! I think I may try Red Baroness when I get my kit.

  • @mstlctct Thanks for watching!!!

  • Wich Colour

I think Rose bud , but i did'nt know for sure , so i ask it now..

I mean the colour wich you have in this video on your nails.

  • @eempyhartjemuziek Hi!!! I am wearing Rose Bud with Negligee on top.

  • I had my Shellac done 2 weeks ago and it started lifting, like peeling off. I am a nail biter and going at my nails a little but it literaly just peeled off 2 fingers so easily. Is this normal or did they do a bad job ?

She didnt file me nail at first but did the base coat, 2 minutes between colours ect

    Thanks :)

  • @LillySydney Hi!!! There could be two possible causes: bad application or your natural nails peel. If the application was bad, then yes its very possible for the shellac to peel off easily by picking at it. It could have been under-cured or not sealed at the tip correctly or the polishing method was bad. If the cause is because of your nails, then bc your natural nails peel underneath, they automatically make the product slide off. Next time, ask the tech to file and use a dehydrate 1st:-)

  • can you tell me where i can find the shellac set that you have. i would love to try it but i dont want to keep going to the salon every two weeks.

  • @Drea289 Hi!!! I bought mine at the Cosmoprof Beauty Show in Orlando. You can find the kits online or at other beauty shows. So far, I have only seen different sites sell the products open stock (not in kits). Try Premiernailsource(dot)com first. They just got new shipments in. If that fails, please message me and I have two other options:-)

  • Do you know if it's possible to use on top of an OPI base gel and ending with an OPI uv top coat?

  • @Xuxkina Hi! Are you using traditional OPI gel or soak-off? Most people don't mix brands because of the chemical breakdown that may occur. It also depends on whether you're using the OPI soak off base and top coat or if you're using the traditional hard gel type. If you're using traditional gels, there's no need for the Shellac bc regular polish doesn't chip with it. If you're using soak off, it may have a negative effect on the durability of shellac.

  • Love Shellac. Tried it back in June at a salon in Brooklyn and decided I should just order. Checked PremierNailSource and placed an order for Wildfire, Base Coat and Top Coat. They sent WildFire but Base and Top had sold out, and they are still sold out. Any suggestions as to where else I can order the product without a nail tech license? By the way, love that Coral color.

  • @sweetnsexylatina77 HI!!!! I saw wildfire in the recent Eminem and Rihanna video and that color is gorgeous! Great news! Premiernailsoure recently got the base and top coat in stock (last week specifically). You should definitely order now. Please message me if you are still unable to get it through them this week and I will let you know another option:-)

  • @LovelysInstinct I checked premiersource after seeing their "back in stock" email but once I went on the site they were once again sold out! Bummer. Any other suggestions? thx

  • @sweetnsexylatina77 I have two (possible) solutions:-) I'm sending you a personal message now!

  • Hi,

Do you know where I can buy them in the MD/DC area? Thanks.

  • @akinneyeo1 Hi!!! The only store that I can think of is Cosmoprof and you need a professional or cosmetology student license to get in. They are currently out of stock, however, you will probably find better luck online. Check out premiernailsource(dot)com

  • Is this stuff expensive? because every persons nails I've done chip so easily...this polish seems like it would be an investment.

  • @KingOfEvilY Honestly, it is an investment. The individual colors cost $15 but I think you get them for a slightly cheaper price when buying the kit with 6 colors or 12 colors. But it has been really good for those who enjoy getting their natural nails done and not having to worry about chips when they take vacations. Plus, it soaks off in the actual 10 mins without hassle.

  • You are so lucky with your natural nails! Even if my nails grow long, they are weak and they break a lot :(

  • @GabbyFabby1994 Thanks so much!! I meant to email you about the skin care line. I can't find somewhere to buy in the US:-(

  • @LovelysInstinct

Aww really? That sucks then, I don't know where you can order it from, like my mom's friend did.

  • r ur nails natural and where can I purchase these products? Thx love ur channel

  • @marquila2007 Yes, those are my real nails:-) You can only buy them online (premiernailsource website) or at beauty trade shows. They are not sold to the general public in stores.

  • girl i love your channel. ur do different stuff then most beauty people. and love the colors.

  • @UniqueTrendz Thanks so much for watching and for the wonderful comments:-) I really appreciate it!!
