@AussieGossie i am from nsw but have been living in europe the last 2 years and found the old commercial nice to watch, but i found your comment blunt, straight to the point, and fucking hilarious, typically australian, so love that. lol,,,,

@CaddoMuzik it will be sping and it's normally nice but the eastern states are copping their fair share of rain still.. it's nice in perth though.. not a sales pitch just the truth.. you'll find it hot dec-march though..
I must say it makes me so proud to hear you guys saying great things about our great country and our beautiful beaches,i know its a long way to travel but i hope you all get to experience them 1 day.
Im from the UK and im really into surfing, im looking to head to the east coast, for a year. Experience AUS and the gold coast, will be amazing for me, if I like it I sure would move over permantly
@JamesGarbutt18 The Gold Coast is very "touristy" with lots of girls in bikinis, but Western Australia had the foresight not to clutter their best beaches with high rise hotels. The WA coast has a lot of good surfing beaches. Margaret River for example, has really good surf, and the added advantage of having world-class wineries in its backyard as well.
I've been all around Australia 2005/2006 for 6 months...it was a time that i will never ever forget...i have it always in my heart...i think about to visit Australia again in a few years.
@5haiHulud When you say "poms" i think you refer to english. When i said others i ment non english - scots, welsh, irish and people from all over europe and beyond. Anyway a celt can still be a "pom" not just those from anglo-saxon stock.
I'm going back o Perth in December. I lived overthere for a year back in 1989. I miss it soo much!! can't wait to be there again.. I want to rent a 4WD buch camper up in Broome and drive back down to Perth. Can't wait to see all those beautiful beaches again!!!
just spent 6 days in Perth, came over from NZ. Apart from the strom disaster in 22 March - the weather was perfect, warm sun. City very neat and clean, felt safe. Hay St Mall area bit run down. But I grant you this, Perth is full of the most stunning hot women I have ever seen. Gorgeous, elegantly dressed, and very classy. mhmmm = puts Kiwi girls to shame.
@reece754: You must have saw something that i missed cos i dont get it. I grant you there are nice beaches and its warm ( though too much so for me ) but you can find that in many parts of the world. I just could not understand why its so quiet I went into town for some night life (northbridge????). I was told that was the place to go, it was lifeless. Ive been to more lively villages. Its not a place teenagers who want more in life than surf.
@skittlepower95 ha ha WA is an amazing place and I love it there. I have travelled it many times. But you cannot claim for one second it has histroy andf culture mate lol Come on, get real. Europe is definitely the place for history and culture. So I reckon a 4 week holiday every other year should do it, then I'll come back and chill on the west coast and enjoy the beauty lol Where's your favourite spot on the west coast?
@fadmucker08 europe has more history and culture that is recognised by the western world, this is probably because most white skinned people originated from there (ignoring continent migration), but australia has over 40000 years of aboriginie history and culture. although not heavily recognised, its still there.
my favourite place to visit on the west coast would have to be coral bay, just north of shark bay and just south from exmouth. realy nice, crystal clear turquoise waters.
@skittlepower95 I think I would enjoy that a lot. It's near nigaloo reef? I don't think people were white when they migrated to Europe, you know we all migrated form Africa right? I also thought Aboriginals had been here for 60'000 years? I'd love to see this culture, can you tell me where I could see it? What type of things are there? I'd love to experience it. I have travelled a lot on Oz but cannot find it as easy as in Europe.
@fadmucker08 yes it is located on the ningaloo reef.
yes i know that we migrated from africa, i just decided to ignore it in my last post.
a lot of the aborigional culture was lost and continued to fall pretty much from when english gained the notion that sending prisoners here would be a good idea.
living in huts walking around naked is not socially acceptable and carries with it the idea of a low socio economic status, which is not desirable so there is not a big market for aborigional
@skittlepower95 Yes I have read that about the Torres strait. I was in Darwin and met some guys from there and they invited me up and were so nice to me. It was a shame I couldnlt make it as I was heading to Broome. There's good light in Broome lol I will check out coral bay on my next trip up the west coast. look ater yourself buddy.

I've traveled to every state in Australia except for Tasmania and the Northern Territory. I've also traveled to 11 different states in the USA, 3 different states in Canada, I've also been to New Zealand once, France + Netherlands + England once, and every single trip reaffirmed for me how lucky Perth is to have such a climate
u r talking about the most extreme conditions we can possibly experience but that's fair enough - you've made it pretty clear that youve never actually been to Perth because otherwise you wouldn't be making Perth out to be some mid-Sahara desert city. The climate itself is mediterranean. Another thing you didn't mention is the "Fremantle Doctor" (a coasterly breeze which blows into Perth, cooling the city down every day).
All in all I couldn't think of a more perfect climate to live in.
as they say, 'like attracts like'...depends on where you were. There are some seriously talented and interesting people in Perth, you just need to know where to be. I personally don't want herds of people moving to Perth, that is what makes it amazing, untouched and CLEAN easy living. Pristine and gorgeous!
314noceu - W.A is the largest state in Australia, (HUGE!)
the Northern part of the state sure does get hot, but Perth and the South-West is a very pleasant temperate climate, we wouldn't have stayed here if the temperatures were permanently in the 40's :)
A 40 deg day is very rare in summer & not the norm I can assure you.
I don't believe you've ever been to W.A. - because what you say doesn't make any sense at all.
I've lived here in Perth over 20 yrs, I lived & worked in 4 countries before this, been all over Europe & also travelled right around the world by ship in my younger years, I can tell you this is the best place on Earth without a doubt. Beautiful temperate climate & everything you could ever wish for - it is literally heaven on Earth.
You guys sure have a beautiful country. I been checking out perth australia on google earth I love some of the photos of the beaches and how many different shades of blue the ocean can get. I sure love to visit australia one day before I die.
you would be surprised how hot it gets is the USA. Toured there in may and Washington DC was nasty hot and humid. And I know what that is as I work in Port Hedland.
@fleetfoot27 Yes Australia Is one of the best places in the world, Most of us are nice just a quick tip, The locals NOT ALL OF THEM (NO AFFENCE) BUT SOME OF THEM and not so nice, If you come here go to rotto(ROckNess ISland) Its kindof exspensive but its worth it
sprintisadefence - Auckland is beautiful, especially Auckland harbour - amazing. NZ is my second favourite country, I lived there for a few years when I was young, the scenery in NZ is the best, one of my favourite holiday destinations, was there again last year touring both Islands ...love it!
Hey some body tell me if I could get a job as a collector there in Perth, I am looking to leave the United States. I am bored and I want to be a manager in a collections department or work at a place that does the lasik procedure on eyes, I was the top sales person for LCA vision, does anybody have a job for me over there? I really want to leave Cincinnati, Ohio. I dont want to go to California because it is nasty there from what I gather. Someone get back with me!
i would say the beaches shown here would be near monkey mia and exmouth. but damn perth beaches are so much nicer than the rest of the countries. i went to so many beaches in sydney and they didnt even come close to what we offer. the gold coast wasnt too bad but still not as good here.
... and Recherche, sounds like I've got sooooo much to look forward to. I just hope I can bear the wait, and equally so, I hope I'm selected to go in (our) Fall of 2009. If I am, I'll be there at this time next year and will have already started classes at ECU if I'm not mistaken. Only problem is, the more attached I become to my Australian Dream, the more shattered I'd be if I didn't make it! Why else would I have this video as the feature page on my channel???
south coast nsw is really nice around mid spring or autumn for beaches.. go down about 6 hours south of sydney near the border, small town, national forest and beaches... its beautiful down there.. beaches around sydney are eh
"I've got news for you: the real Australia is still here."
Man, I sure hope so. It looks like heaven on earth! I hope I enjoy Australia as much as I've been told I will. Going to Australia next year (provided I'm selected to study there) may be one of the most difficult things I've ever had to wait for!
Aww man, if anything, I can't get there soon enough! Talk about getting lost in it, I've pretty much been spending my whole summer virtually out there in Australia...
A few years there? Oh, that sounds soooo wonderful! These kind words by people on this and other similar videos encouraging me to come out there are so very uplifting... and rather consoling to me at this moment. I truly want to come out there and meet the people there. We've got 2 exchange students from Australia in the theatre department, and I've been made partners with one of them in a dance performance for Halloween, and I'm as happy as a kitten in a yarn shop over it!
Looks like I have much to look forward to if I'm selected to study abroad in ECU next year. I'm trying to go to Perth. Will I find much of that clearwater serenity there too? This video makes the west coast of Australia look absolutely heavenly! Watching these videos just makes me want to go out there all the more...and the waiting not much easier.
I mean you no harm Rhammersley. I think you a closed minded racist who has no appreciation for anything outside of your current knowledge. But no, I dont wish to hurt you in any way. I think you need to understand that Australia has been made what it is by Migrants. My father is originally a migrant, and is now a judge of the federal court. So what does that tell you? Anyway man. Peace out, take some time to look at who you are. And no hard feelings.
Well my mother is white aussie, and if you getting to racism on this. And who says I want to make WA like the eastern seaboard? Simply that your comments are not welcome here. The very basis of the Australian culture is imigration. Indeed, if were not for immigration, Australia would have a declining population. Last time I checked. Its not like you going to listen to anyone anyway. You probably were not beaten enough as a child.
You a dick man. I'm a Aussie now, live in Perth. You the one who makes Eastern Staters think we all inbred and backward. Go back to your homeswest house and stop abusing people. Everyone is welcome here. But I will say one thing, if you are from the eastern states, or farther abroad, dont constantly compare WA to your actual home... love it for what it is. Peace out.

Beautiful temperate climate & everything you could ever wish for - it is literally heaven on Earth.
Isolated - Yes - an isolated Paradise! :)

best place ever, the city itself is just like any other, only a bit smaller, but once you go out an hour, its beautiful.

Someone get back with me!

there is a hell of a lot of soil in western australia
InnuendoXP 2 years ago
i would say the beaches shown here would be near monkey mia and exmouth. but damn perth beaches are so much nicer than the rest of the countries. i went to so many beaches in sydney and they didnt even come close to what we offer. the gold coast wasnt too bad but still not as good here.
recherche 3 years ago 2
... and Recherche, sounds like I've got sooooo much to look forward to.
Lavenderrose73 3 years ago
yeah thats true about the gold coast.
Yeah they have the best beaches in the world in western Australia!! I think esperance is the best.
npearson100 3 years ago

"I've got news for you: the real Australia is still here."
Man, I sure hope so. It looks like heaven on earth! I hope I enjoy Australia as much as I've been told I will. Going to Australia next year (provided I'm selected to study there) may be one of the most difficult things I've ever had to wait for!
Lavenderrose73 3 years ago 3
You wont regreat it. Australia really is brilliant.

Aww man, if anything, I can't get there soon enough! Talk about getting lost in it, I've pretty much been spending my whole summer virtually out there in Australia...

"I've got news for you: the real Australia is still here." It still is ive been there and im going to be living there for a few years. Its the best!
npearson100 3 years ago

WitSeuntjie 4 years ago 2
Well my mother is white aussie, and if you getting to racism on this. And who says I want to make WA like the eastern seaboard? Simply that your comments are not welcome here. The very basis of the Australian culture is imigration. Indeed, if were not for immigration, Australia would have a declining population. Last time I checked. Its not like you going to listen to anyone anyway. You probably were not beaten enough as a child.
WitSeuntjie 4 years ago 2
You a dick man. I'm a Aussie now, live in Perth. You the one who makes Eastern Staters think we all inbred and backward. Go back to your homeswest house and stop abusing people. Everyone is welcome here. But I will say one thing, if you are from the eastern states, or farther abroad, dont constantly compare WA to your actual home... love it for what it is. Peace out.
