  • What Lies!

  • @biker4r talk about one particular lie

  • When Ray spoke at a rally for Brad Manning, he said he wished he had done more to get the facts out when he was younger. Dan Ellsberg said the same thing. Why should retired military and intelligence officers keep silent about dirty dealings in the government? Gen Smedley Butler's book "War is a Racket" is a classic. He never would have written it if he licked government boot the rest of his life. No one owns Ray. He IS important. He knows his shit. Our spineless fake presidents don't.

  • @coolmamac Ray McGovern is a shameless opportunist. The "truth" he reveals is

already out there. I believe the Iraq War was unneccessary, costly, poorly planned,

and never about WMD. McGovern's "truth" is his overwhelming sense of self importance. He goes to forums where administration officials(Bush and Obama)are

speaking to introduce himself, call them liars, and hopefully get arrested for disorderly

conduct. McGovern's agenda is book deals and lecture circuit. It's not about "truth"

  • This not how a former CIA Agent should be acting. McGovern is having a field day

pointing fingers and telling everyone who'll listen "I told you so." He's actually amused

by the policies of his own government that "he says" failed. This jackoff betrays the

trust his country invested in him. He's hardly the loyal opposition. This is a CIA agent?

A real CIA operative should tell him to sit down and shut up.

  • @usuberalles I disagree. He may have had to keep silent for years, now he feel he must tell the truth. The truth may hurt for some, but is freedom for others.

  • The world is now slowly unraveling (Greece? Ireland?)

b/c Cheney chose to spend all the money he could &

hide it behind the fog of 3 OFF BUDGET UNFUNDED WARS

while cutting taxes. The FBI told him in 2004 that predatory

lenders @banks & mortgage companies were putting the economy at risk.

He watched it all happen. McCain was nominated to lose

& he said as much when he "won" in NH. High U6=Obama slipping in the polls but then again so was Reagan in his 1st term.

    Cheney in 2012? NO WAY!

  • Very well said.

  • Of couse its language. Our problem is that we are able to listen. If we would'nt listen to the criminals in the governments of this world, the world would be very different. Whoever is in power, is a criminal because there is only one way to become powerful: Thats becoming criminal.

  • THE cIA DID A WONDERFUL JOB LETTING KURDS DIE AT THE HANDS OF SADDAM HUSSEIN.

BACK THEN RAY MCGOVERN WAS A BIG SHOT IN THE CIA.

SO MY KURDISH FRIENDS THANK MR. RAY MCGOVERN FOR KURDISH GENOCIDE AT THE HANDS OF US CIA AGENT SADDAM HUSSEIN.

  • TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK

Basra Elections were scheduled for Oct. 2008 before the USA Presidential.

But Mr.Maliki was a definite looser before and even now, after he sent the Iraqi Army in to rout Mr. Sadr's militia from Basra and Amara.

Security forces dominated by loyalists of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq hunted down and pushed out scores of Sadrist officials into other cities and the plan backfired by widening there voter base.

Maybe next year thay will have a vote.....

  • f'ck iraq

  • YOU ARE AMERICAN HERO RAY! :)

  • *****

  • :D .

  • THE HEAVILY, SLICKLY-PROMOTED NOTION THAT WITHIN THE CIA (& FBI) ARE LOYVAL, pATRIOTIC aMERICANs (Edmonds, Scheuer, McGOVERN, et al) outraged by the NEOCONS. THEY ARE FIGHTING THE NEOCONS. THEY ARE ON YOUR SIDE.

RUBBISH. THIS WHOLE CHARADE IS A CIA DECEPTION

HERE'S THE NEWS,IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW: INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES DON'T JUST MANIPULATE EXTERNAL EVENTS, THEY MANIPULATE THE IMAGE OF THEMSELVES PRESENTED IN THE MAINSTREAM & ALTERNATIVE MEDIA.

  • Peace and blessings 2 all,yes i agree, the eyes can deciev ,how ever , struggles to overcome evil that dwells in all men, when evil defects and volunteers information, then that information should be seriously studied,i too was lost in the dark, and begged 2 see the light,i broke out the BOX,and i commend those who too are breaking out of their boxes, the food chain 4 evil is always changing, evil cares not who it devours, from bad 2 good is always a plus,Megado= good vs evil spotZsp00k,..."x",jr.

  • ansd we sold them the poisen,

  • This is pretty much like Nam. First the advisors. Then the 1st Marine Division went in in '65. By '67 Look Mag said "We are winning the war..." Then in '69 we were still there with "extremely high kill ratios..." The Tet Offensive was successful in making us look miserable. I was in Boot in '69, MCRD. By '70 my CO told me we were not going to win the war. We are not winning and we are blaming the Iranians for it now. LOL. Then when we are stuck in Iran, we'll blame Pakistan.

  • Most would characterize you as mindless since you imply that I am "mindless, racist, half-wit, willing to kill another human" based on my support of overthrowing Saddam.

You obviously are so emotionally attached to your hatred of Bush that you can't see straight. You might put your energy to better use and help somebody or get active in government vs bashing it and people that defend it.

  • Well. Let's put it this way, great patriot of the NeoCon New American Century. In Nam we were invited by a legitimate government of sorts. We had a SEATO agreement to live up to. In Iraq we have another armchair warrior AirGuard mushroom as our fearless Commander that invited himself there. He barefaced fuckin' lied, and said he "knew where the weapons were"..then, "that's not what I said." In a better day he'd be impeached, but thanks to idiots like your ilk he exists as a "leader".GW=Coward.

  • "We speak of morality and we go to nations where people live by higher codes of personal modesty and sexuality"

    Are you kidding me?

You think the Taliban has better morals?

  • wow...you are about as disillusioned as one could get. Your government isn't in Iraq for any freedom ideals, or any "weapons of mass destruction". I thought that was clear for everyone. Just as 9/11 WAS not AL quiada. ??? Smarten up. You probably get your news from FOX, is that right? Bush and his cronies are the sole reason for millions of deaths. All the world conflicts are from one sole provider. Wake up and stop supporting this LUNACY!!

  • After looking at your channel I see how you can be so extreme and ridiculous. You ought to get your info from people other than conspiracy theorists. You keep company that most Americans see as hilarious because of their paranoia.

Maybe I shouldn't say hilarious. Sad is a better description.

  • Don't worry. When you're imprisoned, tortured, or killed, I'll come to your defense. The real sadness is in becoming a mindless, racist, half-wit, willing to kill another human based on a the psuedo-news you get fed. All i ask is that you think before you kill, or incite violence in others. The world is not as you think. It makes sense with the right perspective, and doesn't if you believe the crap you're fed.

  • you're a dope...wake up sleepy head

  • Your comments would be more accurate if you did not leave out the whole reason we are there. The Iraqi government lied and prevented the whole world from doing what they were supposed to do with inspections and sanctions. Saddam played games that started this whole mess. Don't try to look over that fact.

We freed a whole country from that madman and we get thanked by being killed. You should be thankful that Bush freed people, which at the same time allows them to support us and attack us.

  • well if thats the case then why havent your government done anything about Zimbabwe north korea iran sadan so on so on and so on.foot hole in the middle east.oil. so beleave what you wont mate but you have to relise you are full of shit

  • They are working on the situation.

The Iraq situation is 2 decades in the making. North Korea is changing their tune. Iran will change their tune. These leaders don't want what happened to Saddam to happen to them.

  • load of shit mate!!!1

  • So you wanted Saddam to stay in power?

  • id much rather have Saddam than george bush lets put it that way.

  • So, you would much rather have Iraq under a dictator than under Maliki, who was voted in by the people.

Let me guess, you are extremely liberal.

  • We are grasping for straws with them and buying them off. Underneath the seeming tough stance is a breathless worry that we will be forced to go to war. Believe me, if our cmmndr'n'cunt could pull of an attack like his strike in Iraq he'd of pulled it. Same with NK. The trouble is, both of these places are not like Iraq. You see dear one. Reverse everything NeoCons say and you will get the truth. Bush knew that Iraq did not have WMD's that's why he attacked them. EZOIL>The losses in Iran?NK?Whoa

  • *****

  • The US thinks they can play GUNSMOKE anywhere they want. With a punk army that is no where near the quality of person we had in the past. We speak of morality and we go to nations where people live by higher codes of personal modesty and sexuality and we introduce them to Al, Tony and Smudge from AL, NY, and CA and the prototypes have not a clue to the history whether recent or ancient, of the areas they get dropped into like turds. They worsen life. They improve nothing. Now, are you happy?

  • Failed miserably? The Iraqi Army have kicked out most of the Mahdi Army influence in Basra and are still there. Whilst I agree the US knew about the offensive, I don't think they failed.

  • Bush is a madman. His father was a CIA prole. His mother is the illegitimate daughter of Aleister Crowley's interlude with his grandmother that produced poor Barbara. These people are a twisted clan. It's all about power. It's creating situations rife with risk and the average prole here says, "Bring it on." Bush speaks to the heart of Amerika alright. He speaks to the hearts of Mickey Mouse idiots and SUV driven morons. The interest and note bound slaves of Amerika.

  • You sound a bit distressed. It's not that bad.

  • You are an asshole to say that. It's not that bad? Do you have family in Iraq? Do your relatives write about trigger happy punks, you dare call heroes, running around shooting up neighborhoods to find "terrorists" aka anyone who resents their presence. Do you have friends who are gone forever because of saturation bombing also called SMARTBOMBING.(JOKE) No you don't. You are one of the "protected" the "sheltered". No it is worse. Your constitution is trashed and your pres should be on death row.

  • Amen to that.

  • "In the U.S. - right to trial by jury no longer exists". Your first example shows how highly subjective you are. Can you refrain from ridiculous exaggerations?

Do you not understand that this is a war. We are not fighting terrorism with police. Do you hate the Bush Administration so much that you can't see he is protecting you, and this protection does not come at the expense of your rights. It comes at the the expense of terrorist's rights.

  • The Bush Administration protects us?! :)! if he suffered a nervous breakdown I am sure he'd be muttering, "We made it all...we had the right to destroy it. We supplied the weapons for Hussein. We supplied the Taliban...nobody fucks us around. No one bites the hand that feeds 'em. We will control it all...and, and mutha'fucka's I will destroy it all ..." This jagoff creates the need to "protect"...with assholes manipulating and scheming we'll be "protected" for generations. Bush types=terrorism.

  • The only war I have is my war with the Right Wing/Left Wing/Wherever the windblows creators of this marvelous drama. During the height of the Cold War a real soldier named Dwight D. Eisenhower warned us totally, totally against the enemies within. Those lie mongers are my only enemies. I will kill them, hunt them, and give my life to see them destroyed, utterly. Get rid of that shit and "terrorism" vanishes. I can start by looking in the mirror and I find my greatest internal foe.

  • So who are these "lie mongers" and what are they lying about?

  • :) We have one guy who said his intelligence reports and his sources, and his wonderful cohorts like a choir sang, "We Know Where the WMD's Are! Halleujia! Hallelujia!" Chief among the robed were, Dick Halliboy Chainmeister, Colon ReadytoBurst Powell, Sec. of States all 3 stooges, and the Pentagon Joint Chiefs of Staff, even though the running joke at that time was, "Need to find the WMD's? The receipts are in D.C.!" ha,ha,laughs. Yeh, laugh jagoffs until your family is discarded flesh.

  • WOW!! You can't even recognize Mcgovern with that bald head!!

  • Fantastic. Roy McGovern is both funny and informative.

  • This guy is great.

  • Again, what freedoms have been taken from you?

Filtering to find terrorism activity, and i'm sure the program doesn't work perfectly, is for our national defense. National defense protects your freedom.

Was the political activist put in jail?

  • You just take the chip when it's presented to you, and you can live like that. But I'm sure there are plenty of people who won't want it. Do you have any idea what Bush has done to our constitution? And you ask what freedoms have been taken. Go and read S-1959 that is in the Senate for approval.

  • I am asking you for specifics. What freedom of your's has been taken away?

  • In the U.S. - right to trial by jury no longer exists, warrantless search and seizure is practiced and defended, habeus corpus is gone - even for U.S. citizens.

The full list is longer than this but highlight some of the more flagrant abuses of the constitution.

  • he looks like he has cancer

  • He does

  • no way?

  • Yes. And it visibly inspires him to speak the truth passionately and with a spirited humor.

  • What freedoms have been taken from you?

  • Go read the patriot act. Everything you communicate electronically is filtered by the NSA. Sure, you can go your entire life without having overtly violated, but I know of a political activist at a college who just had the FBI knock on his door for handing out dissident flyers.

  • Governments have a mandate to maintain the status quo. That works well when the status quo is sustainable. When it isn't, then no amount of vigilence will allow you to maintain control.

Ultimately, those who are monitoring need to decide as individuals what are the real interests of society and do the needful to support (or at least ignore) those who are working in everyone's interest even by working against 'the system' (status quo).

  • Excellent video, thanks RealNews =)

  • Actually, I was acting like a jerk with my last question. Sorry jerkface.

  • This is a complex world. Of course you know that. I am trying to get to the bottom of jarob420's views. What does he support and what he doesn't. These are valid questions that many people are afraid to answer.

  • By insisting that "Do you support people's right to kill Americans?" is a valid question, you've gone and proved my point. Thanks.

  • Oooh, so jerkface23 decides which questions are valid and which questions aren't.

Wow, you have a tremendous amount of authority, do you not? Now is this question valid?

  • Actually, it isn't.

  • I do not fear islamic terrorism. I didn't before 9/11 and I wouldn't if we left Iraq. That doesn't mean I support the killing of innocent people, but the freedoms our constitution were built upon should not be destroyed in the name of a supposed war on terror. They win if our gov't takes our freedoms from us, do they not?

  • well said my friend...

  • The gov't is wiping out freedom of speech, beacuse they know when they institute the draft again, people will be protesting just like Vietnam days. They will just throw all the protesters in the camps. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

  • Oh yeah, and the sky is falling too!

Tell me. Do you support people's right to kill Americans?

  • Fact: bringideason doesn't know what Plurium Interrogationum is and why it's a logical fallacy.

  • What I'm trying to say is that we the people need to make a decision soon, do we come together to protest the oppressive situation we face, or do we the people wait until it's too late. Do you think that somebody who speaks out against the gov't is a homegrown terrorist? Or are they a pariotic person who knows their rights?

  • You are right. The problem is, in today's market-state, people are overworked and are too busy with consuming meaningless goods to do anything about it. If you want to understand today's economic situation and its relation to the military-industrial complex, read 1984 when it gets to the excerpts from "the book." Today, we are working harder as money is drained on the military and less able to rise above our petty consumerist individualism and rise up agianst the revolting mess in Washington.

  • Crocker obviously lied in his response. Look at his eyes at 1:36. They say "I am a liar" He has the look on his face like, do they believe what I just said? How much longer will the people tolerate this goverments repeated lying.

  • Fact: this channel should be named 'Realpropaganda'

I can't wait to hear the next opinion from Pepe or the political activists that star in these videos.

  • Fact: You people don't have a clue. This war is part of the Vedic Resurrection Project. Vedanta is Rising like the Phoenix. Namaste.

  • The Sons of Vedanta are in command here, not Cheney or Patraeus. Namaste.

  • Fact: You people don't have a clue. This war is part of the Vedic Resureection Project. Vedanta is Rising like the Phoenix. Namaste.

  • Fact: sugarpuddin88 doesn't know what government's purpose is.

  • Fact: Iraq is lead by a USA puppet, a gangster

Fact: Iraq is Martin Scorsese's Gangs of New York

Check the Air Force general on Meet the Press, HE IS BLINKING A THOUSAND TIMES A MINUTE

Yeah my gov is looking out for my best interest - That is why oil went from $20 to $112 a barrel since we arrived in Iraq

  • Petraeus sounded like a crooked Annuity plan salesman

  • all lies

  • And he can back up these assertions with... what?

I'm don't like Cheney either, but this guy's gut feeling about his sinister machinations in Basra is not evidence that it really went down that way. This is bad journalism.

  • Of course Senator Kennedy KNOWS what Dick (as in dick-head) Cheney is up to.

--Senator Kennedy lost both his brother Jack, and then Bobby in 1968.

--I've even heard on one occasion: the whole "accident Ted had with the girl who drowned" was really not an accident, he was supposed to go, too.

  • Let me get this straight. Gen. Patraeus and Amb. Crocker lied to Congress?! Sounds like Congress should start filing proceedings with the Justice Dept. for perjury.

  • Correction for my previous comment: off-course America as people not to be blamed for that mess.Sorry about that.

  • I'm as an Iraqi,I still believe American invasion was an oil invasions, but we did not know that will turn to be A massive genocide against all iraqis!hmmmmmm..blaming the Iraqis for being supporting AL-QAEDA!..I believe America is worse than the MAFIA,and AL-QAIEDA combined..Terrorisms born in AMERICA and raised all over.

  • Not America, but the government in charge. American people don't want this fight!

  • ironwork92000:

People like you don't want this fight. People that get scared when it gets tough don't want this fight.

  • Lot's of people think it's about oil but really is the Pro-Israel lobby in America manipulating information and politicians in order to get America to attack Israel's enemies. The oil men are just the tools..control of the oil is their incentive to join the war against Israel's Arabian enemies.

  • This Ray McGovern is a political activist. I wonder if he is biased in any way.

Why don't they call this channel RealOpinions?

  • Geeze , you think our leaders are lying to us ??? again ? Our leaders have sold us out. I say treason !

  • This is simply unbelievable, in the literal sense of the word. They didn't know? Whatever, that's simply not even remotely credible.

  • Isent it there JOB to know?? What do they get payed for??

  • Wow...

    The Naked Emperor, Richard Cheney.

He is evil, evil, evil as Hitler.

  • We knew it back in 2001 when they wanted to invade Iraq. That was totally wrong, but the Americans thought the rest of the World is jealous or indecisive and the Americans are patriotic and vigilant.

  • Did you ever see the quote credited to Dr. Carl Sagan?

"One of the saddest lessons of History is this: If we've been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We're no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us.

"It is simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we've been so credulous."

    --Carl Sagan

  • In sociology that is called traditionalization. But would like to underline that you have not learned anything. The habits of your decision making go unchallenged and you may buy another lie just in a few years. I only can comfort you by saying we are all in the same position in western democracy. We lack forums for getting ourselves heard.

  • I wonder how you can tell that I have not learned anything...

I am getting on in years. I grew up in a nation with a vibrant democracy - until a wave of assassinations swept it away and replaced it with fascism.

I think it is pretty arrogant on your part to judge what my habits are about decision making. Are you God??
