When you actually fired the crosshair was active just a tad underneath him. It looks like the click was press at that time judging by the delay of the Rail Beam. I posted a Video Response to this Which demonstrates a very fast and precise rail shot whilst my crosshair seems nowhere near. When I was playing he was dead on when I clicked and DING! =) 16ping Does help a lot! But when you use timescale .1 with precise shots fired while moving it becomes a lot more obvious... =D
Try swapping between cg_smoothclients 0 or 1 as well as cg_predictlocalrails 0 or 1
Have a fiddle I guess. These options seem to be getting activated and de-activated from server settings so smoothclients probably doesn't do anything at the moment.
I'll PM you a link with some details on latency issues and commands. Once you go over 40 ping weird things start to happen. 50 and over and you're stuck with random shots.
Its because you don't have to hit the model, but the hitbox that is lagging by some milisec from it. In this case beside the model on the right. Yeah this is ridiculous, indeed. Also it's the same with 0 ping. Watch my channel, I have a video where I hit 10 rails in a row. If you watch it closely or slow it down, you'll see that I shot beside the model almost everytime, and it hit :/ Play Q3 CPMA if you can't stand playing like this, it's totally hitbox lag free.
i dont play this game but it looks like if the hitboxes are good, your shot with 35 ping wouldve ended up between his legs. If you were aiming at chest it wouldve been different.
@furyffs did u mean cpma-osp ? bcuz original osp1.03 netcode are unplayable , after cpma-osp and ql playing there no way back too osp1.03 erroring netcode - 1/4 of of damage hits it ewen not registering ...:D
