@MrProGamerUK Eh, everyone's a skeptic, but thanks. And as far as I remember, the CPU setting only worked for VS. mode. I remember when I first got this game, I always played VS. mode against a Level 7 computer... But I stayed on Level 1 while I put the computer on Level 10 to even it out of course. And from there, that's how I practiced making chains. And the "How to Improve" tutorials helped too. =)
@MrProGamerUK Eh, whatever you say dude. I really can't bring you anymore proof other than a gameplay video like this... unless we somehow played against each other one day.
@dukeaddict237 You wanna play against me? Although Tetris Battle is just tetris, not Tetris Attack. And I find it hard to play Puzzle League games on the keyboard, I play better with a controller.
@FreedomFighterLance no dude i suck at tetris. i just saw u comment tht maybe one day u could play him and i offered a suggestion. but then i saw ur vid and saw wasnt same as tetris.
No, it's not. It was originally called "Panel de Pon" in Japan, but when Nintendo imports some of its games to the U.S., they have a tendency to edit them to make it more... mainstream. So the idea was to put "Tetris" into the game's name (even though the gameplay didn't resemble Tetris at all) on it and to cover it with Yoshi's Island characters in hopes that it will boost its sales, when really the gameplay alone was good enough.
OMG! Yes! Puyo Puyo is my life! Funny, Tetris Attack used to be my favorite, but now it's Puyo. And whichever is my favorite tends to fluctuate throughout the years. But yes, I have Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary on emulator, it's awesome. I only wish they could import here to the U.S., but unfortunately America doesn't have much love for puzzle games, lol.
Crap, I forgot to say which emulator, my bad. But I have it on my Nintendo DS emulator No$GBA. PS2, I don't know plan on getting that emulator, sounds like it'll take up too much memory. My PSone emulator takes up enough memory, lol.
Thanks, but I haven't played in awhile, so I'm not as good as I was a few months ago playing this, lol. I hope they do release this for the virtual console. I don't have a Wii, but I think it would be a great way for this unknown game to get popular. It's so addictive!
oh alright. i usually just pick up this game or planet puzzle league for a week or two on and off. i didn't realize it took years of practice. my bad. i'm sorry i guess i'm just more used to other games where you beat it in a day or week and then there's no replay value. 11 years huh, i better get started.
Ah, Planet Puzzle League, haven't gotten that game yet unfortunately, although I will say the stylus makes the game much more easier and more fun to play. And don't worry, you'll get better the more you play. That's what I love about puzzle games, you can always keep playing them. They never really get old (except for only once in awhile).
oh, i know this is a little out there but do you know if there are ever any tournaments for this? i've been looking to see if i can one day actually make money off of gaming skil but the only tournaments i've ever heard of are for the most popular ones guitar hero, halo, smash, etc. i would think that there should be if there aren't any right now. oh well.
Damn. I really do wish there were tournaments for puzzle games like these, but I don't know of any unfortunately. As of now, I think people today just see puzzle games as one of those casual games that you can pick up and have a little fun with, sort of a way to pass the time. I don't necessarily know a lot of people that are addicted to puzzle games as much as I am (then again I haven't played in awhile, so what am I saying? lol)
I wish I could play this well. It's so weird because when I watch others play, I can see all kinds of combos their capable of, but when I play, I'm crap. It makes no sense!
Um. Don't worry man. Anyone can play this good. I honestly think it's the easiest puzzle game in the world. It just takes years of practice. For me, I've been playing this game for 11 years. How long have you played?
VERY impressive x10 chain. Good job on surviving speed level 99 while on hard mode.

@MrProGamerUK If I recall correctly, Level 7 CPUs are faster than that.

It would be very cool if Nintendo releases this game for the virtual console on the Wii. You're extremely good at this! Cheers!

Usually it depends how long you've been playing. How long have you played Tetris Attack so far?
