The Larry character really needs to be re-cast. Moe looks and sounds good, Curly sounds good but is too tall. But, the 3 Stooges in the modern age? ... won't work. This movie will last one weekend(maybe 2 at the most) in the theaters.

I actually thought (hoped) this was intended to be a serious, ambitious, well-crafted bio pic of one of the greatest comedy teams in history. Then I saw the Farrelly Brothers' name. The Snooki cameo undoubtedly suggests that Jersey Shores fans are their intended audience. The Stooges deserved a bit better than that. No way I'm going to be seen walking in that theater.

I'm really hoping that this movie opens a door to a whole new generation of Three Stooges fans. This just proves that the original guys were comedy geniuses. The fact that their comedy has stood the test of time even in the year 2012 gives me hope that we still have another 100 years of Three Stooges fans. The original stooges had no easy time of it in the 30's with Columbia boss Harold Cohen screwing them for all he could get out of them. Two of the trio died of stroke - Curly at a very early age in his 40's, giving suspicion that many of those numerous blows to the head were for real. There is at least one short where Larry's crust was visibly deflected from the impact of a descending rifle butt.
