    2 weeks, counting...

  • Yo, your house is FAT! I wanna be that cat!

  • Nice lens! I´ve shot a music video using this lens (among others) and a 550d with nice results :)

  • Just ordered this lens a couple days ago. Hope to get a D90 or something soon, too. Really looking forward to getting this lens!

  • @sweethouze28

LOL HAHAHAHA Made my day man!

  • home sweet home and very nice cat.

  • Great test. Thank You.

I got a Nikon 90 as well. I get ramping when I go from light to dark.

How did you prevent the exposure ramping? What control setting did you use?

I have this slight exposure adjustment on my footage where the camera tries to adjust it self. Please advise.

    thanks

  • 1. First set the exposure.. 2.Then press the exposure lock button. 3.You can then control the light with the aperture ring if your lens has one.

  • why post this on youtube. Should have put it on vimeo or veoh hd.

i think youtube can do hd. not sure.

  • The video codec used was probably at fault for being soft. D90 doesn't upload right out of the camera to you tube. There are filters to sharpen videos like this in premiere. The tokina 11-16mm has rave reviews. I don't know why are you attacking the lens. Perhaps your jealous.

  • First thing on the soft image issue... Only the Lord knows wht focus point I was on when I shot that.. I put the lens on and walked around the house the minute I took the lens out of the box.. ALlso sometimes when I do a light color grade. I throw on a soft filter to get rid of too much sharpness. Then thirdly.. I do think the compression is a big issue. I compress it. then youtube compresses it.. Plus if you are viewing on a crappy monitor it really makes it soft.. The softness conspiracy.

  • beautiful house btw.

  • good cam+good lens+very good footage+relaxing music...

    that's very cool dude....keep up

by the way.. what's the song????

  • i just bought a d90 too! by the way, NICE HOUSE bro. do you think the tokina is better than a 10-24mm nikkor wide angle lens? what made you choose a tokina lens? the video seems pretty soft as well. did u notice that?

  • Its simply great....& Even I like ur hose!! This Video Canged myself From Buying A DSR 400 sony.....Thanks!

  • damn. sweet crib and nice video of it. question on the D90. since the mirror stays up and the sensor is exposed for a lot longer than a standard DSLR, do you notice any problems with dust on the sensor?

also, what do you do for a living so i can change careers..lol

  • Scarface home XD

  • Looks like your asian?? lol i could tell But anyways so im guessing this Lens is worth the money... and btw it doesnt have some kind of VR in it??

  • My wife is asian.. I am a white boy.. The lens has no VR, but I noticed since it is so wide, it has almost no camera shake.

  • Wow this is amazing and beautiful. Anyone notice the cmos didnt wobble here (or at least very minimal) when he would pan side to side. Thanks for this upload, it has convinced me to buy this lens :D

  • nice video :)

  • macman13,

You didn't tell about any camera jig used for stabilizing. coz the camera movement is so smooth.....

  • No camera rig.. Just hand held D90

  • Man you deserve a costlier camera seeing your house. Anyway's beautiful video, have u used any camera stabilizing jib? if so pls share it as 'm looking for one.

  • No one needs anything more than the d90 for anything but very fringe shooting situations (ie extreme low light or professional sports), anything more expensive will just allow you to get the same results with a bit more ease.

  • I just held the camera in my hand. No Rig.. I just put the lens on set AE lock and walked around...

  • what was the aperture set at?

  • I think it was F/2.8

  • great way to show off you're beautiful house and awesome lens! haha :)
