I had a TV tuner card and software that worked fine for years. Then the "Capture Video" stopped working. Picture and audio came through fine. I tried taking out the cord. Couldn't put it back in - the holes in the port the needles go in had disappeared! Had filled up! Looked like there were FORMERLY holes! I had a new tuner put in but audio/video won't even appear. I've updated the drivers. What could have happened? .dll? Registry? Codecs? What happened? Any thoughts, ideas? Thanks for help.
@Randomaited You have to convert the files to AVI then shrink the files, then you burn them to DVD then you put the the DVD in the DVD player and connect that player to a VCR and press record!
you shouldnt be using a dvd to vcr combo to convert most of them dont twork well or are made well. get an older pro model and you'll be really glad you did.
I have a Panasonic VHS camcorder ,(it does have a digital video out) how could I convert it so it would record and store video on an external memory card? That way I wouldn't have to use tapes and the battery would last more to.Thanks.
i can not thank you guys enough, ive been searching for about an hour now trying to figure this stuff out..thank you thank you thank you..but one thing...could i use a hauppauge hd pvr to do this????
hi my VCR is called SHARP VC-MH704 player, it only has the audio out from behind execpt the video out which is in the front along with the audio, but would it still work on the front part if you input the audio cable in the front part please reply back A.S.A.P.
Also I tried searching online again for a analog to digital video converter for $40 and couldn't find a thing. The ones I saw are over $200. Please tell me the exact name which one you used in the video and give a link to it. Thanks.
I forgot to ask this question. You said that device was called an analog to digital video converter right? Well could you provide some links to the one you have there and some others for comparsion? I tried looking on google for one and couldn't hardly find anything like what you showed on the video..

It started well but didn't explain the reason for decoder if you were connecting directly to the desk/laptop.

Instead of buying another piece of equipment (the converter), how about just use your camcorder? This may save people having to buy another machine.
