What a great wrestler and from what I hear a nice person; I have to find a comment I got a year or so ago from someone-although it may be gone if it was on the sadly defunct WWE UNIVERSE SITE (thx Don Vinnie, you always think of the fan$)-the fan said-there is a joshi heritage in WWE-but most fans don't know it-the Bomb Angels, Bull, Aja and Kyoko Inoue; Yoshida could fit into the Diva Division-if McMahon had bookers who could think with the head--on their shoulders.

@RPenta These women don't fit in the diva's division because these women can actually wrestle as well as many of the men on the WWE roster, if not better.

If either TNA or WWE had any sense, they would bring in female wrestlers like this to strengthen their Women's Divisions but neither seem to think it's that important, which is truly a shame.

Still, there is one move I remember seeing a clip of from Mariko where she locks on some sort of front facelock choke with a hammerlock until the ref calls for the bell after getting no response from the victim. Any ideas about what this move is or where I can see it again?

Wow Wow Wow. Besides the amazing Submissions (which look legitly painful) Her Standing moves were damn impressive. Her Double Underhook Facebuster Was at least 3 times more impressive than Triple H's Pedigree.

The victim's legs are tied around one of the attacker's legs, and then the attacker applies pressure to the victim's legs, pushing them apart, and putting a lot of pressure on the muscles around the inside of the hip joint and the groin.

The legs of the victim are crossed(think somewhere between Figure Four style, and that of the Sasorigatame), with one of the attacker's legs holding them in that position. I opted to clip out the initial set up of the legs, simply because the clip would have been unbearably long.

woo.. before leaving to arsion, her ajw persona was not that great.. she was not very good.. she seemed like a jobber at times and her moves were too simple even tho she used the air raid crasher even then as her finisher.. the arsion version of yoshida is soo much superior then to the old one..

actually she's more of a glamorous high flying comedy jobbed in AJW. then aja kong repackaged her as a submission wrestler in ARSION.

in ARSION, aja was the head booker, yoshida was the head trainer

Another thing one has to mention about Yoshida: she had served to be a great mentor for plenty of the new breed of today's Joshi circuit, as well as molding the careers of AKINO, Ayako and Melissa as a trainer in ARSION. That speaks volumes about her overall character and wrestling caliber.
