@TheSeventiethSeven It is fundamental to cycling. This is why the sprint race is so tactical. If the rider in front goes at the wrong time the rider behind will be able to pick up an easy draught, save energy and blast past at the end. This is why the riders rotate the front man in the team pursuits and why road racers do the same - this is also why the peloton in road racing can maintain crazy speeds mile after miles - by rotating the guys at the front who create the gap in the air.
