I prefer air travel but what does he expect its ryanair and you don't know who the captain is from a ferry thats a bullshit video anyway airtravel is much faster.
Irish Ferries do not sail from Liverpool, they only sail from Holyhead...and as for proper trains from Holyhead to Manchester (Piccadilly or Victoria) on Suns, I would never travel by fast ferry (Sun Dep Dublin North Wall 08:45, (I got the slow ferry at 08:05) Holyhead 12:05 Manchester Piccadilly 17:30, changing trains in Cardiff, Crewe, Chester & local train from Warrington)...no security checks either, very worrying on many fronts
Th journey from Liverpool to Dublin is in fact quicker on the ferry if you go on the fast ferry! I went to a hen and not only did it take us over an hour just to get through airport secirity but we had to get to airport over an hour in advance, add that to the flight time and delay and sure - why wouldnt the ferry be quicker and easier! Hate airports these days, its a nightmare!
Liverpool to Holyhead is 110mile, just over two hours. 45 minutes check in at Holyhead.1 hour 40 minutes sailing, total 4 hours and 25mins. Liverpool to airport, 15 minutes, one hour check in, 30 minutes flight, total 1 hour 45minutes.
NO Irish ferry sails from Liverpool to Dublin, you need to go to Holyhead...a LOT more road miles! A pity....a sailing on Irish ferries from Liverpool to Dublin would be VERY popular.
Liverpool to Holyhead is 110 miles, just over 2hours. 45 minutes check in at Holyhaed. 1hour 40 minutes sailing, total 4 hours 25mins. Liverpool to airport, 15 minutes, one hour check in, 30 minutes flight, total !hour 45 minutes.
This is so true, travelling by ferry is light years ahead of anything by air...
Airports and the security areas are traumatic nowadays with having to arrive 90 minutes before the flight (to make the gate on time), stripping off shoes, belts, watches, etc. It won't be long before strip searches are mandatory...
Give me a comfy chair, decent coffee and service, room to stretch your legs and its a no-brainer. No need to hire a car when you get there either...
