hey your Chinese is pretty good for being a 2 week learner! It's for the most part understandable with the exception of lack of tones which will come with time. I would suggest listening to A LOT of Mandarin things, T.V. shows, people, news. it really really helps with the pronunciation
I Really Want To Learn Either Japanese, korean, or Chinese
BUT I Don't Know What's The Easiest, Cuz I Can Write & Read The Korean Alphabet, But i can only understand & say a few words´. Plus+ I Listen To KPOP Like 24/7
Japanese. People Say It's Really easier To Learn.
Chinese, I REALLY Really Want To Learn, But The Alphabet Looks REALLY hard, & Their Pronouncation Also.
But Could You please ANSWER, Cuz I'm Seriously Lost, I Really Want Ur Opinion :) Thankxxx
@Lovingkpop444 for me personally (and this is different for everyone) chinese is the easiest, but the characters are a bit hard as well as tones. korean would be my second easiest, only because i can read and write it. i don't exactly know enough about japanese to really say anything about it, i got into it for the styles and i watch/listen to some japanese things so it just came naturally. it really depends on you as a person, so i would just try each out and see out it goes. :)
But The Course U were talking about, that u've taken for mandarin, What course is it? Can u give me a link, or something??? i really want to take it :)
I`m a chinese, and I speak some japanese as well. Chinese is easiest in those 3 languages, I said so not because my nationality, but the fact. Certainly, chinese does NOT have an alphabet, but 4 tones, which is unthinkable to most western learners. But the structure of its vocabulary and phrase and, specifically, the grammar, is perhaps the EASIEST in the whole world. No tense, no plurality, no genden,no sentence elements transition.
To speak chinese, all you need to do is put every word together. very much the same way as german,"zusammengesetztes Wort". Take an example of "My friends are coming home to eat with me", in chinese is "I(my) friend(s) (is) come(ing) home (to) eat with I(me)". all the transitions and prepositions in() can be skipped. No mention the "frenchlized English" for "Ox,cow, calf, beef, steak", in chinese they are" cows, male cow, femal cow, little cow, cow meat and cooked cow meat" :)
Cool when I speak korean and then i have to speak english straight after i find it weird lol like i shouldcontinue to speak korean (man i wish i could lol) id speak korean all day (Y)
@Sowwyful Thanks! Yeah, korean is really hard, i'm still having a lot of trouble with it, but the more practice you have with it, the better. And thank you, i've never heard that before haha. :)
Being a native Chinese, it pose a challenge trying to understand your Mandarin 'cause you just lack the Mandarin accent (Doesn't sound Mandarin). No offence though since Mandarin is a foreign language to you, what you need is to brush up your pronunciation amd you will be fine. (Additional comment: Did you learn the writing system of Chinese as well?)
@ImMrRetard Oh okay, thanks for the advice. I have learned stroke order and somewhat reading chinese, although I'm not really too good at it yet, but hopefully I'll advance at some point. :)
@mbstylo thank you. it was an immersion program as part of the StarTalk programs, you can actually google it, they have programs all over the united states. :)
im so fen hype right now im on like my 2nd month of manderin in my highschool class and i understood everything you were saying =D.... something about "i am .... im american. are you american? my family has mom dad sister brother w/e.
@axsmith234 haha, good job! yeah, a lot of what I said was chinese 1 things, hopefully soon I can film another video all in mandarin and you can practice with that too~
@youthtumbler thanks, I just listen to a lot of music and shows, so I suppose I pick up a lot of pronunciation from them and being able to read hangul fluently helps as well. :) thanks for your comment~
Well you are doing wonderful at it :). I know some Korea, Chinese, thai and japanese. I pronounce kinda like you bu your better. Keep up the great work. I speak and pronounce spanish really well though and same with French but I know only a little french.
But 저는 morgan입니다 isn't 반말 :P That's actually deferential--pretty formal (and hence I refuse to use it :P) '저' is the polite way of saying I... 반말 would use '나'
But I'm sure you know that ^_^ Keep learning Korean!! ^_^ It's awesome haha
@jekajamstar1 haha, yeah i've learnt that now, i think in this video i was just spitting stuff out and not really paying attention to what i was saying, but thanks for the advice. :)
OMG you are sooooo good at Korean and Chinese. You know more then me in Korean and Chinese. My friend is teaching me Japanese and I think everything you said was correct. I don't know mandarin so I don't really know if you were speaking it correctly. But whenever I see a person not of Chinese decent my mind is extremely blown.
