We have developed this iOS App called Quick Lapse HD for time lapse video recording on iPhone/iPod. Please check it and give us your feedbacks on how to make it better.
I just open Premiere Pro. Import the full length video. Set it on the timeline. Select the rate stretch tool (x) and drag the right side of the video toward the left. Then File > Export as desired.
this was no help...new to time lapse and i get to about 1:10 into the vid and it dont work...the timelapse button wont let me click it...not sure why not but its not avaiable...its just a grey color and i cant clcik it..any help would be appreciated
I haven't gone for Premiere Elements 4 no, as I didn't think there were really enough new features/changes. I've now moved over to Sony Vegas Movie Studio 8 (although, that doesn't have the same time lapse/stop frame features, so still using Elements 3 for that)
They're not - MSN wasn't loaded. The program which is blinking on the taskbar is the Logitech Quickcam capture software which runs when the webcam is activated.
Is it connected by USB, Firewire, Serial, or something else? Does the camera claim that it'll work as a "webcam", and does it have a "webcam" mode that you may need to put it in to?
thanks 4 the vid!. i like 2 make lime lapse videos(usually of clouds) but i didnt know how 2 make them like this.
what i did was 2 put the video in windows movie maker then speed it up a lot. not the best way!. it usually worked though but i think ill try to get some software like that.
Thanks you for showing us how to do this in Elements 3.0...you can't find this kind of information in the HELP section. Correct me if I am wrong. But, I get the idea that if you shoot 4 minutes of the clock and you want to make it run for 5 seconds...it will take the computer maybe an hour to process it..is that right?
Thanks, I hope it's helpful! I filmed about 8 minutes of the clock, which lasted around 4 seconds in the final timelapse, and yes as you say it'll take longer to process the video when you render it than the timelapse itself - if you just want the timelapse though with no editing then you could simply use the file it saves when you close the capture window, as that renders nice and quickly!

how do you create it with a pre recorded video so that i dont have to carry my pc to wherever i am recording the time lapse?
buckrogers999 10 months ago
@buckrogers999 Look up a thing called Magic Lantern.
It shoots timelapse photos straight from the camera which has to be pretty cool.
I have it on my eos 550d

DWAx1999 2 years ago 6
go on to wmm. tools, options, advanced, select the quickest picture duration
(0.125 seconds) then import all the photos you want in the movie and drag them to the storyboard :)
calumisthebest 2 years ago
not working
Collin2377 2 years ago
i tried , i put 100 pictures in there and it only shows me 3
Collin2377 2 years ago
@DWAx1999 It's possible to make time lapses with WMM, but it's tedious. You have to load your frames in one by one.
links212 1 year ago
@DWAx1999 yes.
MrIigle 8 months ago
@DWAx1999 It can be done, if you haven't already found out,
1). Import all the photos you've taken into windows movie maker
2). Find the options tab in the drop down menus, then go to the 'advanced' settings.
3). Then set the picture duration to its lowest which from memory is 0.125 and the picture duration too (0.25)
4). Select all the images and drop them into the timeline, done.
!To get a nice looking time lapse though download 'windows movie maker 2011' set frames to 0.04 (24 fps) :)

The easiest one is to take that really really long video and speed it up a bunch in Adobe Premiere. You can do it in any version.
