when my ipod broke i turned off the ipod "services" on the control panel which is basically how itunes keeps track of your ipod. it fixed the ipod. apple basically flipped the switch on my ipod. f**ck you apple. zune ftw

I've had the Zune HD since December 25th, 2009. I am switching over to iPod touch. Now, I do not dislike or hate the Zune HD in any way, I LOVE the device. The Accelerometer, the Music organization, Zune pass, etc. Love it. though, it was stolen. Instead of buying a second zune HD, I think it's best to just buy an iPod touch, and hold down for awhile. They both are incredible, though, this is Zune HD's first gen, I'll wait until it's second, maybe third, to come back home.
The ipod touch is a good player, but right in the beginning of the comparison they mention the fact that the zune hd doesn't have an external speaker. The touch didn't have one to begin with either until later on.
@madgnad Yes that is a good observation to go with. People don't seem to get that the Zunes in it 1st generation and the iPod is in its 3rd gen. The sad thing is I think the Zune is pretty much caught up with the iPod in hardware on on its 1g.

Zune HD (16) - Own and love.

Remember Zune has xbox and XNA and a tegra chip behind their back. Another thing I like better is Safari. Yes, the internet on zune is completely useless. Basically it comes down to what the user wants. If you want apps, go with the iPod Touch.
If you want a better MEDIA player, go with the Zune. You get an OLED screen, better battery life, 16:9 experience, HD Radio. Also, if you break down the specs the Zune HD produces better sounding music.

And who knows, they said there wouldnt be an app store but they didnt really really stress that. like they ddnt really push it into our heads telling us that there wuld be no app store. yes you can set up broadcasted networks. it will show as "hidden network" then you have to type in the name, then it connects
