No producer that samples is stealing, one of the many things that make hip-hop dope is that it can take parts of different types of music and create something completely fresh and unique.

A lot of producers don't pay for the samples they use, especially lesser known tunes. Probably over half of the underground stuff is sample based, so you can call it stealing, uncreative or whatever. But samples certainly breathe new life into music that would otherwise never be heard by hip-hop fans. I've discovered loadsa tunes i'd of never heard just from samples in hip-hop, so it's all good in my opinion. If artists are about the love of music, they'd be honoured to have their music sampled.

@Cubanalan i guess to me as a big hip hop listener it just matters what kind of samples you use (like how far down you crate dig for them, or whether yu just scoop those top level ones that anyone can get, or how creatively an artist tries out one of those if they do choose the more known ones.
