  • "You know i get the cheese, gotta watch out for rats, smarter than that so i keep tha mouse trap"

  • U put them seats up ull prolly open up that trunk ha

  • Comment removed

  • what are the box measurements i have the same car.

  • omg how did you fit that nice set up.

  • that's sound is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to low... my head phones just cannot keep up with the bass... just crackle and pop sound... DAMN!!!! kicker solo baric L7 definitely one of the best subwoofers in the world of sound system...

  • Yeah Def wanna turn the box around so the bass will bounce around and sound much better!!

  • What's the song

  • @icobassa09 Im Shinin

  • people that say turn the box around are stupid. it just makes your trunk rattle more, GTFO here. If you want clean bass, keep it facing the front. You'll also get more SPLs from facing it forward.

    Nice setup.

  • @d3v2011 more spls?... you mean dbs, or spl?

  • @awesomeman123 sound pressure levels

  • @d3v2011 its a singular term, you don't get "more spls" that doesn't make sense because that isn't how spl is measured. I just thought i would be picky about it because of your stupid comment about rear facing subs "just making the trunk rattle more".

  • @awesomeman123

if you have a SPL of 93 facing the rear, and 100 db SPL facing the front, that would be called sound pressure levels, fucktard.

making the trunk rattle more is exactly what it does, if it suffocates in the trunk, that absolutely does not make it louder. sorry kthx.

  • @d3v2011 fucktard, wow. getting angry and making yourself look dumber simultaneously thats impressive. unfortunately, in your original comment you said "more spls from facing it forward" which is NOT in the context of multiple levels that you just tried using to defend yourself. not to mention if you think 2 15 inch subs flexing the roof and doors would be measured at 93 dbs you have probably never seen a subwoofer let alone owned or measured one. don't even reply please haha i shouldnt have.

  • @awesomeman123

goddamnit you're such a retard. giving examples, obviously that's not 93 DBs dipshit. I have a 15" l7 actually, and I know from experience and working with subwoofers for the past 5 years that if you suffocate the volume of air that's being moved in a small parameter that you will actually get less SPL, jesus christ.

  • @d3v2011 just put more power to it lmao

  • yeah turn the box around and put it at the back of your trunk, bass notes reflect off back of truck and go straight where you are sitting, trust me it helps A TON

  • The car is made of nuthing more than flimsy fiberglass anyway!

  • like everyone will tell you you get what you pay for like lanzer amps most stuff crap except there optidrive stuff. the subs are great and good start dont ever get rid of them just get you better amp cuz ya mights say 2k rms but it will not touch that in your car cuz they test thouse on high voltage bench not car. sell your amp and get you something else.

  • you should only have one of those subs in a big box and it will be much louder, I promise.

  • dude tell me something....does ur sealed boxes give u greater punch and feel ? rather than annoying audio bass ? thats what i want. the punch and feel bass....should i seal my small boxes for my 2 12s ?

  • you need to get a ported box

  • What do you guys think is the loudest sub there is for the price? Im trying to get good loud subs for my car but im not sure what to get yet. Im thinking about some btls because there pretty good for the price, cuz i see alot of subs for that price or more but the stats arent as good.

  • would be louder if you had turned the box around, you should try it, it makes all the diff.

  • If that MXA282 can push 2 of them ass expensive 15" L7's like that, i think it's worth the 115 bucks on amazon. Especially since I can't afford anything near an L7, if I get a more inexpensive sub, it will hit them damn hard.

  • Hits hard!

  • my first pair of subs!

these were great for the money you guys. and will last you if treat em' right.

now moved up to a DD 9515. but i miss my L7's.

    Good memories.

  • 2 12 l5 can NOT be louder than 2 15 l7s. ur crazy. u just havnt seen what l7s can do when put to full potential. u should regret selling those subs. if they had the right amount of watts and the right enclosure, ur neighbors would be hating for setting off their car alarms. and shaking there house windows and what not

  • i have 2 12'' l5s in a 18 cubic foot ported box at 35 hz and the walls of my truck flex and it flexes windows in nearby buildings i love them i could just imagine 15s in that big of a ported box

  • 18 ctf thats false you wont get anything but air moving with that big of a box

  • @herosquad no you dont beleive me come to sc and hear it its the loudest 2 12'' setup i have ever heard it out beats my friends 3 15 mmats but the ports are very close to the suvs tailgate so it kind of walls it off and makes it slam super hard if you dont think so i can send you a video of my shit flexing

  • in an 18 ctf thats bullshit my two 15" L7's are in an 8ctf tunned to 32 hz and the largest the box should be is 12 ctf learn somthing about car audio please

  • ok i dont care what you think but i could pretty much bet that my 2 12s with 9 cf each tuned to 30 hz is way louder than your 15''s sorry guy dont be hating on something you have never heard grow up

  • Kid you really do not know what your talking about two 12" L5's cant even take 1000watts daily oh but my L7's can and and wait more cone area is louder too forgot man i must not know much about Sound systems since i install them at a shop thank you? oh you have a 9ctf per sub so you have each ported seperatly. yeah would make sense and what car is this in ? Steve Meade has a 20ctf box for four 18s i doubt you have an 18 ctf box for two 12's and wheres some vids of this"sweet system" at?

  • yeah l5 12''s can take 1000 watts mine are being pushed at 1200 watts every day and i have them ported separately and they are in a 99 gmc yukon and the ports are facing the trucks wall so it increases the pressure it can flex store windows it is the loudest 2 12''s within 100 miles and yes more cone area is louder but my system is out beating a guy in

  • town with 3 15''s mmats ported and part of the reason i made the box spo big is because i can switch em out for 2 15' l5s so dont hate on a system you have never heard and i have a picture of my box if you want me to send it to you i have yet to make a video and im not a kid and i have read a few books on car audio so im not dumb

  • pretty sure herosquad knows his shit. this sonic dude is fuckin retarded. lol. 2 12's. 18 cubic feet? hah tree killer.

  • he sent a vid of his L5 12"s in what looks like an 18ctf box but hes just moving air. lmao but thank you i do know my stuff ive been in the Audio world for three years .

  • I love it when you can barely breathe

  • wow, I cant wait to get subs for my car

  • Hey people Im getting two Solo Baric L7 12s in a 2001 honda accord..I Have a new hifonics brutus 1610 amp and was wondering if this amp can push these subwoofers? please help Thanks.

  • Yea that should be good bro. these subs can pound all day.

Have it ported and your straight.

These were my first subs and loved em'. Moved up DD now and will never regret it but kickers are great two if you treat em' right.

  • Deadlysounds right ,30% front 70% back, its all about speaker displacement. :)

  • @thecandyman8888 tell me more about this theory because i've heard it both ways

  • Turn the box around.... It will sound much louder

  • first thing is first. PORTED box will give you at least 2-3 db, not to mention that amp is junk. AUDIO PIPE just put out there new amp 3000RMS at 1 ohm! that will push them kickers

  • ey homes....let me give u some tips... 2get 2x the thump.

1.Either get dual layered speaker box (covered) or turn that box around. (makes more pressure. More pressure = bigger boom)

    2. If u have the exhaust pressure tubes on, place them on the sides of the box (makes the resistance from the cars interior apply to the sound and makes box thump and your car bounce)

    3. Im not chompin on ur system, but consider gettin a cleaner output radio.

ASIDE FROM THAT, THIS IS FKIN CLEAN, NICE SUBS. PROPS.

  • if u turn those subs around they'd hit twice as hard....

  • holy shit.. what amp u got pushin em? im lookin at gettin 2 kicker l7s 15". the same ones in the vid im pretty sure

  • Hey Trumotorcross23,

Did you have to change your alternator & battery to pump these subs? Man I have an l7 and the base goes away when I crank the music. Suggestions from everyone welcomed...

  • get a capacitor

  • Hey man just a suggestion,

I don't know what kind of amp or subs you have, but you might want to look into subs or amps that can produce the right amount of Decibels that you're looking for. But, you might already have a good setup, and I might just be running my mouth, ha.

    Hope this helps man.

  • Dude turn ur subs todwards the trunk ! it will be 10 times louder and sound and flex better trust me and try it

  • this is very true! i had mine pointing into the trunk when i got it...i thought it'd look better to have it pointing into the cabin...bass dropped like 50%...no joke!!! but my trunk lid doesn't rattle as much with it pointing into the cabin

  • no doubt imagine how loud this guys subs would be when their the other way , my buddy had the same sub in his car and my other friend had the older kicker silver 15" solox in his s-10 and the woofer in my buddys car could viberate the mirror in my car from his next to me !

  • What is the difference Between sealed boxes and ported boxes like what i want mine to sound like is that people can hear the bass from like 200ft away like in an intersection you know im across the street that you can hear that can somebody help me out,.,what kind of box would i need? thanks

  • ported has port holes for the air pressure from the sub to go there for quite a bit more bass but it doesnt sound as clean as a sealed box will so your probaly looking at going ported

  • its simple.

ported box = louder with less sound quality

sealed box = not as loud but better sound quality.

  • louder bass is the best quality bass :) everyone should go ported!!!

  • Either can sound good but ported will have a 3dB advantage in most cases. It all depends on design and what you have the port tuned at.

I like sealed subs for the better transient response but sometimes I want ported so my beats can BUMP!

  • yea, i know.. lol. i was just tryin to say that i like ported better than sealed

  • it mainly depends on the driver of the subs also. some are made for different types of box's.

  • What is the difference Between sealed boxes and ported boxes like what i want mine to sound like is that people can hear the bass from like 200ft away like in an intersection you know im across the street that you can hear that can somebody help me out,.,what kind of box would i need?

  • Check out my video of my 4 12's making my truck bed flex! much better than this.

  • DAMM dude those are nice l7 i have a 12 in solo X thats the SHIT

  • wow thats a fine example of cheap metal.

  • oh yeah, fuck sealed. Ported all the way

  • true, i hated sealed boxes. when i got my bostons (which were in a sealed box) i put them in a slot ported box and damn, they sound so much better as of playing Lower, Louder etc.

  • Oh course the 2 12's are gonna hit harder if you're using the same amp. Its using less RMS for the two 15s and more RMS when you run the 12's there for the 12's hit harder.

  • Nice car i have an 08 and I had my subs and a toggle switch hooked up to my stock deck but when I turn off my stereo with the switch on I get a muffling noise? can u tell me how you did ur setup thanks.

  • nice SI i have a black 4 door 2008 with type rs sounds good bro

  • heap ass car easy to flex.

  • how could you say an 07 civic si is cheap?

  • DAMN! i knew i was going to get this amp, which is why i searched youtube for "lanzar amp" but i have a new pair of subs i want to run with them the L5's in your other video! SOUNDS GOOD MAN KEEP UP THE THUMPIN!

  • The trunk doesn't rattle or anything.. wow nice

  • Real power is when the entire car is about to fall apart.

  • yes everybody knows that, but this is enjoyable bass.

  • my lanzar amps always blew their channels out. but they always hit hard as hell!!!!

  • Your amp is can do 2 x 1650 Watts at 2 Ohms RMS. so if your new subs are 2 ohms and wired at two channels you could make 1650 watts rms... just google your amp and model and look for specs

  • some amps don't actually put out the numbers there specs say they do. like lanzar and many others.

  • still sounds good!

  • like sony

  • name music este bajo si q suena boom

  • check out my system, the subs for sale! and im buying kicker l7 15's, if u have hit me up!

  • a what size and what company made the amp u got

  • hey bro , i have two L7 12's in my 2002 honda civic, just got em and have them in a 3.25 cbft ported box. i have them on a rockford t1500.1 bd amp and they sound great. gota insulate because shit is rattling everything!! i agree with brett, man those 15"s crave much more power, they how 1000 rms per sub!! ill have a video soon! like the car and subs!!

  • also switch out that piece of shit lanzer amp trust me thats not even doin 1000 maybe 800 depending on how many volts its getting.

  • Step with fosgate bro don't buy those l5's buy p3's instead trust me

  • having ur subs facing u or playing them with the trunk open burns up your coils so turn em around bro its for your on good also if u want to make ur subs louder in a sealed box fill it with polyfil

  • hahah wtf are you talking about match? having the trunk open doesnt hurt the subs at all. and filling it with polyfill doesnt make it louder, it just tricks the sub into thinking the box is bigger than it actually is. Learn much?

  • Trick is a term I wouldn't use. The fill shrivels up during heat produced from power going through the voice coil inside of the enclosure. I forgot what the scientific audio term is for this but it allows the internal volume of the enclosure to equal an enclosure of larger size that does not have polyfill.

  • ....tricking? haha, but you are right.

  • they will hit a lot harder when you turn them around.

  • That is not true. It depends on what box they're in and what car they're in.

  • in that specific car, to make it louder, keep it facing that way, but push it further back, if its ported the turn it around

  • Bass is omnidirectional. You won't lose SPL or make them louder with direction, because of the reason stated above. Frequencies below 80hz~ are omnidirectional and not easy for the human ear/brain to percieve. You will notice more rattling depending on the direction of the cone, but overall SPL would be the same or minimal differences (+/-2db)

  • haha, id change my box direction for +2 db any day.

  • wow your subs are moving great ..! good job, what amplf u have?? how much rms u have !! damn i want one like u have :D !!!

    pace .

  • how much did u pay for that, and how maney watts are they

  • Awesome!

  • yo.. i got 2 twelves solobaric...1)ported or sealed..and 2)can i go higher than 2000 watts

  • 1.) ported

    2.) no

  • because they the bass use ur trunk as a box also.. so when u face em the other way it the bass bounce into the trunk then out to the car.. making it sound louder ...

  • Why is it that subs sound so much better facing the back? It sucks cause I love looking back and seeing em bump like that but they just sound so much better facing backwards..

  • bass sound waves take about 6 feet to reach their full potential, when you turn them around and have the subs firing to the trunk there is more room, so it is louder. but if you are an audiophile you can turn them so the cone is facing you and vocals will be louder and bass wont be as loud.

  • hahaha me too ! i have my subs facing me because i like to see them shake, fuck making it louder

  • port them..let em breathe

  • research these subs, tehy require a HUGE box to port them "correctly" because they are meant to be in a sealed box.

  • oh reallly? i never knew that...thanks man

  • yep to have 2 of these ported you would need a 6-12 cu ft box

  • wheras sealed it would be 3-12 cubes

  • downgrading! this is an outrage!

  • point the new subs back it will probably sound better

  • how happy are you w/ that Lanzar amp?

  • its ok, if I turn my deck to max volume and have the bass boost to its max the amp will cut out after a while...5-10 mins.

  • @trumotocross23 does it still happen ? coz i wanna power my 2 12 inch l7 with this Lanzar MXA282 amp .

  • @trumotocross23 thats why u should never crank it up all the way...lol

  • @trumotocross23 Of course its going to cut off. If you max it out your clipping the amp which is bad for both the amp and sub. You need a good electrical and match the voltage from the haed unit to the amp. That is why the amp have a gain, its not a volume. And never put the bass boost all the way up. Your system aint going to last long with abuse like that.

  • Can they fit in a reg circle box or will I have to pay more money to get a new box?

  • gta buy a new box bruva

the actual main body is square

you could always try turnin the circles into squares on yo box jus as long as wen u screw dem bitches in they tight no leaks

  • There is a video on here of a pair of 10" L5s in a Kicker Comp VR prefabricated enclosure. He just added plates to the cut-outs so the square subs fit.

  • i want a system that can do that!!! lol

  • are u using a lanzar mxa282 for two kicker L7 sub ?

  • how come the kickers sound like they have a bag?????

my mtx 6000 sounds like that 2

  • Air leaks.....

  • actually thats the effect caused by the grill of the camera's microphone when it is being put under this much pressure...

  • hell yeah...nothin worse than a leaky sub tho lol

  • i like tha car and the subs...what kinda amp are u using? i need one for my s12l7'S...thanks dude

  • hey how do i charge my capacitor?

  • You need a standard car battery charger and a charging bulb. Wire the bulb to the cap then connect the charger to the pos and negs. The bulb will go out when the cap's full.

Lovely setup trumotocros23, I wish my car could fit that in the boot, I'm stuck with 12"s :(

  • let me ask you this..if i have a 2000watt amp should i have a 4gauge wire running to it???

  • If you're gonna go to all the hassle of taking the inside of your car apart to run cabling down it then go for the best right from the start, then you have more options open to you in the future with the minimum hassle. That and the fact I saw a friends ICE catch fire once due to poor wiring!!

  • cartoys did it for cheap since they put in wrong wire

  • THats a good song to bang to...

  • Dyno Matt helps ... Or go to a Pro Audio car shop and ask for sugestons.

  • killswitchdrew25 is right. If you have them facing the tail lights you get better bass out of them.

  • I know that, but facing towards the cab stops almost all rattle from the trunk.

  • Very nice....sounds like it hits...especialy wit the song "Im shinnin"...Nice

  • damn nice man sounds really clean..even with the shityness of sounds cameras record

  • whats pushin these twelves

  • check description.

  • Nice beat.. turn them around and have them face the trunk and it will be louder.. The sound waves reflect off of the metal. I read it on crutchfield.. and let me tell you it really works!

Just make sure to dynamat your trunk! lol

  • if u turn the speakers towards the back it'll hit harder. people can hear you goin', not commin!

  • oh woww. my car does that with a stock system.

  • what is that song that is being played on the video? I want that sound track please

  • Its in the description. On the first line lol. "The Pack- Im Shinin"

  • BITCH I'M SHININ!! i'll recognize that beat n e where..those solo's r fuckin sik..

  • They sound really nice! No rattle too, just pure bass.

  • New 12 L5 subs installed....... check link on video description at bottom.

  • yo thats nice souds good to, but yo don't pay attention to the hater talkin about RE and FI their dumb ass

You can't compare RE & FI toa 18 Solo X. hits alot harder then any other sub they 5000 Rms

    they to much steve meade.

  • hitting goood, check mine out

  • lol my shitty alphasonik 15s will beat those bitches out

  • please!!!!! check mine out

  • yo shit those subs have a mad tight thump with no rattle.... hittin that shit clean brotha!

  • Post a viedo of it then. And no sorry it isnt bull cuz I was standing right there watching it.

  • Of course its gonna flex the roof it has a sunroof and cars with sunroofs have weaker roofs, Your rear view mirror barely moves. Sorry but Kicker is garbage IMO. MY buddies 4 lanzar 12's stomped a guys 5 L7 15's 150.1 to 138.5 Db.

  • that is bull. my 1 12" l5 hit 130 on the dash.

  • i saw a guy hit 147.1 db with one l7 kicer sub and a kenwood kac 600 watt amp. he had his roof and sides reinforced with tubes that were welded to the bed of the inside floor. it was loud. just matters how you set it up. most will never learn to go with what works.loud clean power not quantity.

  • there is not fucking way in hell that is true,i only have 2 15 l7 and i hit 163.1, check my video out

  • no way you hit a 163.1, thats louder then steve meade

  • well you might be right, i metered putting the meter on the rear glass which was right next to the speaker and i hit 163.1 but whe i put it on the wind shield i only hit 144.7. So i really don't know which one counts.

  • ok that sounds more reasonable lol. the one at the front windshield counts. Thats where all cars are measured at in competitions

  • did u see my video?

  • i commented on your video lol

  • the rear meter doeesnt count

  • well you might be right, i metered putting the meter on the rear glass which was right next to the speaker and i hit 163.1 but whe i put it on the wind shield i only hit 144.7. So i really don't know which one counts.

  • which head unit is that?

  • The stock honda one lol

  • yea funni syedasadsha your pioneer cant come close to a kicker solobaric your out of your mind maybe a kicker comp but not a l7 keep dreaming tho

  • Great video. That is some pretty insame flex. Especially for only 1,000 watts rms. Now all you need is a true 2,000 watt rms amp and a ported box(if you got room).

And don't listen to all these noobs, nobody knows what they're talking about.

  • My ONE pioneer sub beats the solobarics hands down. I had a 15" solobaric in my card and let me tell you guys, it seems like shit compared to my ONE pioneer 12" sub.

  • i bet it cant touch a 10" solo x.

  • of course not u idiot
