I've just been to wales, and went to the Ffestiniog railway i would highly recomend it good fun. One thing though is go on a good day not much to do on rainy days.
happened on the Saturday on the vintage train, I missed it due to a flat tyre on the way down. I think is was one of the vintage carrages, but when it derailed it split the track open as well, so they had to repair the track as well.
