Civil Liberties are EXTREMELY important. Dr. King was especially attacked by blacks and whites for his anti-Vietnam stance. He was entirely against the US being used as an Imperialist force. So, he and Dr. Paul have much in common. Just thought I'd add that because I'm begining to realize their similarities.

I am so happy to see this video. I registered as a Libertarian in 1989. The talk then, within the party, was that it would take at least 20 years to (re)build an understanding of Constitutionalism/Freedom/Liberty in the population. You've got it right, and I salute you! This is Southeast Texas, I live in Houston near Ron Paul's district. It's just two hours from Jasper, TX. There are unfair people here and I've been here for 35 years, almost twice your age. I have tried hard to be a fair person and I can tell one when I see one. Watch as many youtubes of Ron Paul as I have and I can't see how anyone could think that he harbors any ill will toward anyone because of skin color or anything else. Peace, brother! Ron Paul 2012!

@rammer257 He voted against the Civil Rights Bill because he felt the laws that made it illegal to be non white (Jim Crow) should be repeal. The constitution give ALL Americans rights, Jim Crow laws took them away. Why create more laws for groups when the constitution already gave ALL individuals basic human rights.

@rammer257 The Civil Rights Act was in 1964, long before Ron Paul was ever in Congress. and it didn't give black people the right to vote. The Voting Rights Act did. Ron Paul has voted for repealing that act because it punishes a handful of southern states for conditions that existed 40 years ago and no longer exist and it requires those states to get Justice Department approval for any changes in their election process, like changing a polling place, but doesn't require ALL states to do that.
