I had done a similar bulb swap on My Bmw 740il that came with stock Xenon/Hid kit and i went from 6000K to 8000K which is a hint more blue than yours. I think that HIDs are a good investment in light visibility while driving and reliability. I don't see why people should hate?

@carguyzo6 totally worth it you will NEVER go back bro....also, 5 years ago when i first put mine in, a GOOD set was $400 a pop for JUST LOWS. I dropped $800 for what you see (lows, fogs) so yes thats a great deal. Watch out for those cheap ass ebay kits - you get what you pay for and a bad balast is almost guarenteed and when you least expect it. (been there)

@PUNKYOU007 i think the new housings mount the bulb a little differently.....very similar but these ones had 3 screws at each "socket hole" instead of plastic tabs. Holds them in real tight.
