How useless was the spotter? The whole purpose of putting a guy at the end of the trampoline is to CATCH the gymnast if he goes flying off the end of the trampoline. This idiot actually stepped back in fear when he saw the gymnast flying towards him. How ridiculously stupid is that? How irresponsible!

Actually no, the spotter is there to push them back on if they're falling off. If they are coming off like that you are ALWAYS told to move cos its likely they will injure you and themselves more.
He might have died. Or he might have somebody feeding him mashed potatoes through one of those little alligator looking medicine spoons you get as a kid- but rest assured he is not a productive part of society. When did doing that stuff in a cement room sound like a good idea? Natural selection at its finest!
