the S-II program started years before the Human-Cov. War. Earth wasnt destroyed or taken. The "Holy War" was the prophets covering up the fact that the humans were the true heirs to the Forerunners' technology.

the war didn't even start on Reach. the war started on Harvest. it is in The Fall of Reach. and LastXdeth was right, the spartan II program was started before the war against the covenant, there was a civil war going on before that. and LastXdeth also probably meant Spartan III program in Ghosts of Onyx.
and sushimanjr is wrong, it is the storyline from the start up to halo 3 which includes halo 1 and 2, but they said at the end that it was just a practice and not everything was in there.
THE SPARTAN II project wasn't the last. If you read the Gosts of Onyx, it tells how the SPARTAN II project came online while Master Chief was killing Covenant crap in Halo 2.

because all the marines in halo one were ALL from the pillar of autumn, according to the "fall of reach" book, during the battle outside reach the pillar of autumn recieved major damage, including damage to the spartans weapons bay leaving just the marine lockers filled with their gear. so when they arrived at the halo all they had to use was that gear.

there are huge holes in the storyline and your wrong the storyline goes halo wars, reach, combat evolved, 2, odst, 3, then this is probably wrong but then marathon comes after master cheif crashes on onyx and looses cortana but gains leela, but that last part is just my guess

they are not cyborgs... they are injected with andrenaline and something else, the armour is 7 feet tall, in the inside his a bit small, and his bones are very hard and tht makes him very heavy plus armor. 70 spartans was made. ahlo reach shows 2 other spartans (friends of chief) and Leela trapped in the black planet in the legendary ending in halo 3, its called Onyx.

Well at the ending of The maw on legendary Johnson says to the elite: "this is the end, hold me". well in halo 2 Johnson told his marines to NOT attack the elite. well that exact elite (auborator idk how to spell) was from the ending of halo 1 im assuming.

ive noticed something in halo wars it says when pilar of autumn escapes with master chief it says the carried the last sparten "thought" to have survived the reach encounter.
I know that in the halo reach game thats comin it will tell some spartens survived.
[This is my guess cuase the facts add up] The you tube movie here is fairly good.
There will be more games after halo 3 maybe it will be master chief discovers spartens on reach or anything could happen this is microsoft were talking

Bungie announced that Halo:The fall of reach will be the last game, which makes halo 3 the conclusion to the war. If you didnt notice at the end on the gravestone it sais Sierra 117 that means master chief passed away.

Sorry to sink your boat, but Master Chief is still alive. One - watch after the credits of Halo 3, Chief also says "wake me when they need me", hes not dead, just asleep. Two - If you read the books at the end, Chief lives. But I do agree with you saying that Reach is the last game. Bungie would just have to add more story to make another game after that. weird, one of Bungie's original games from the 90's was a game titled Marathon which is nearly the same game as Halo. similarities are uncanny:

information 'Terminals' also appear in both franchises
both main characters eject themselves from spacecraft as the vessels begin to explode.
Military: UNSC/UESC
Spartans (Cyborgs?) wear Mjolnir Armor. Marathon also has Mjolnir 'Military Cyborgs'
also an achievement in Halo3 is titled 'Marathon Man.' not to mention the symbol

the S-II program started years before the Human-Cov. War. Earth wasnt destroyed or taken. The "Holy War" was the prophets covering up the fact that the humans were the true heirs to the Forerunners' technology.

the war didn't even start on Reach. the war started on Harvest. it is in The Fall of Reach. and LastXdeth was right, the spartan II program was started before the war against the covenant, there was a civil war going on before that. and LastXdeth also probably meant Spartan III program in Ghosts of Onyx.
and sushimanjr is wrong, it is the storyline from the start up to halo 3 which includes halo 1 and 2, but they said at the end that it was just a practice and not everything was in there.

THE SPARTAN II project wasn't the last. If you read the Gosts of Onyx, it tells how the SPARTAN II project came online while Master Chief was killing Covenant crap in Halo 2.
