i forget the scientific term for these creatures but they are real. watch that 11 part series on the discovery channel, "Life". they talk about them. they're like pre-prehistoric fish. they're kind of like what fish looked like before dinosaures, before plants in land, before life on land. it's kind of amazing they're still around really.
Ive seen some interesting things b4 Ive seen whales up close Ive touched a lion Ive heard a fox sound like Satan but nothing will ever be as weird as this for all those who say no way could their be life any were else look at these creatures they live in insane pressure and ridiculous low temperatures, if these sea dwelers can exist here who's to say that big foot doesn't exist
One reason I want to build a submarine. Won't probably make such depths without serious hull, but I do so love the underwater world, it's mysteries would answer so many questions about human kinds origins, I believe.
they are either caused by bioluminescent bacteria inside them or bioluminescent chemical reaction... I remember this big tree in front of my house and during the beginning of wet season thousands of fireflies come out and they show an amazing display... and its even better when the night is pitch black...
i love the dumbo squid!! is it a squid or an octopus? lol i forget, ive held a comb jelly once, the box lookin jellies with the rippling rainbow luminescense, they show up on shore for as long as i remember..very tiny.. and not hard to catch. but im sure these ones are huge.
im not really sure about the dumbo squid but its cousins are squids and octopuses. my fave is the vampire squid from hell. i dont think its on this video. Ive seen it on discovery's planet earth. my fave one in this video is the read jellyfish.
yes! i know what youre talking about! i was actually anticipating to see that on this video, those are real cool! i remeber dropping my jaw when i saw it on dsc's planet earth! lol

can anyone tell me why they glow?
sk8boarder13 3 years ago
scientists believe that they glow to warn predators, for communication, to attract preys, and also as a form defense...
blackpager 3 years ago
okay and how do they glow? some chemical thing I guess?
