  • led zep for ever

  • Jimi Hendrix was driving the train and all ur superbands just tried to get onboard

  • @itnow Except, y'know, not.

  • @ny j4ck the who were the greatest live act. Keith moon on drums along with Pete Townsend on guitar. Led zepplin is a very close second.

  • @dstroost Zeppelin was without fail the best live band,They ALL were the best at their given instrument plus they could play the same songs every nite and never play it the same way twice, they had improv skills that would make ANY jazz player want to go and woodshed. I have bootlegs from 75 and they sound so tight they it could've passed for a studio recording,Live is Zeps biggest claim to fame they gave their fans a show they would never forget, and usually without having a opening band.

  • Pink Floyd is the best

  • @streetparade finally someone could end it on a happy note.cheers

  • @EPIGIBSONPHONE The Beatles most influential most definitely but greatest is a toss up b/t Led Zeppelin and The Beatles and it's really a matter of opinion. Led Zeppelin are the greatest live act in music by transcending their already amazing studio records into a completely different song. They were so good at improv on the spot in their live sessions, it seems otherworldly. The Beatles are incomparable in almost every aspect they're usually by default voted the greatest.

  • @streetparade i love zep. but im one of ''those'' kind of Beatles fans were they aren't music.they are life. i seriously know everything about the beatles.they are so interesting. so when someone is like''BEATLES CAN BOW DOWN TO THE MIGHTY LED ZEPPELIN'' it really irritates me. but i wouldn't mind if they said'' they are ONE of the greatest bands ever'' than i wouldn't mind....i simply just came here to listen to the vid

  • @EPIGIBSONPHONE I hear you. I love the Beatles as well. Let's just say that Zeppelin and The Beatles are the two best ever - the world would be a lot sadder if neither had existed. They both stretched the boundaries of music in ways that other bands (even great ones like The Who and Pink Floyd) could not and we can each have our favorite. Cheers.

  • Cont. The Beatles were pretty much undefeated in every aspect except live. Now I'm going to have to be honest with you here. I find most of The Beatles songs pretty boring at times but i do respect their contributions. Now you say Zep fans are idiotic but the same could be said for the beatles fans. if you truly know music, you'll know that they're are flat out even.

  • i love led zeppelin but always wondered why page is so sweaty in the knebworth shows, john bonham should be sweatin hes kicking ass here

  • @bobdabilderxD shut the fuck up you obviously NEED to take the side of the zeppelin fan you stupid fuck. and you probably didnt even see my side of the argument...oh yea and guess what.......beatles are the greatest and most influential music group of all time and thats never going to change so go cry to your mom you lil bitch

  • @EPIGIBSONPHONE Why are Beatles fans so obsessed with Led Zeppelin? I mean, if I went to a Beatles video on YouTube I wouldn't find any Zeppelin fans banging on about how Zeppelin is better, bigger, more influential, more bad ass, etc. etc. But Beatles fans troll Zeppelin videos A LOT. Strange....

  • @streetparade Its all because deep down they all know the truth,The Beatles were GREAT Zeppelin was the BEST.

  • @ledzeppelin4304 .... yep another immature inconsiderate zeppelin fan....it's just sad.

  • @EPIGIBSONPHONE hahahahaha

  • @EPIGIBSONPHONE youre a fag. argue all you want, but in the end of the day you know what you are. now go comment on the beatles videos you lil bitch

  • @ledzeppelin4304 ....i prefer twist and shout so HA... and dude just stop.. your not making this any better. Beatles are the most influential and greatest musical act of all time! believe me zeppelin comes in second in my favorites.but seriously just stop because i have done the same thing with hundreds of inconsiderate zeppelin fans who don't know alot about music...not all zeppelin fans are like that, but it seems that you are.

  • @EPIGIBSONPHONE hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha

  • LONG LIVE THE MIGHTY MIGHTY ZEPPELIN!!

  • there a phone at0:10 on jpj keyborad

  • this was actually 1979 not 80 iirc

  • true, Led Zeppelin, only 1/2 the beatles at their best

  • @ledzeppelin4304 it seems your mistaking.. its led zeppelin has nothing against THE MIGHTY BEATLES

  • @EPIGIBSONPHONE kashmir vs twist and shout ? KASHMIR. yup .....

  • WAAAY too much digital delay. I LIKE IT!!!

  • Bonham was such an amazing talent. It still breaks my heart that he left us so early on.

  • Knebworth was the dream gig , Page's blue shirt is soaked during "Achilles Last Stand ' A truly epic concert from an EPIC band .

  • Consider......Page played this is 40 degree weather and at around 3:30 in the morning! As great as this is, nothing blows me away more than what he did playing "Achilles Last Stand".

  • Love the telephone on top of John Paul's keyboards.

  • bonzo sounds great here - but trying to do kashmir without the full compliment of strings just doesn't sound right

  • this is from 1979 not 1980

  • @cola4369 The video is from Knebworth 1979 but the music is from 1980

  • HOLY FUK.DID JIMMY DO HIS LITTLE FLAMENCO THING AT THE END.HOLY FUK

  • Before i saw this DVD i thought i had an idea how great BONZO was but after i realized that i had NO IDEA HOW INCREDIBLE THIS GUY WAS.

  • First time I've seen this ending, I can see why you put in the effort to get it up on YouTube, great drumming by John in particular.

  • so... what's JPJ got the phone for anyone know?

  • The Beatles took drugs, you got "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band".

Led Zeppelin took drugs, you got this...

  • This was 1979 buddy

  • This was '79

  • stage stares and light glares try to throw you off in your psyche,,, but the worst is your own echo being tripped over by the bass and guitar player..Led Zeppelin music was more complex as a whole then people can even phathom...Who knows though??

  • Could Mr JP Jones actually hear that phone ring? "Hello Mum, yes, I brushed me teeth", gotta go now, me hands 'r full!

  • they always got a bad rap for live,I changed my thinking years ago. They were great live, that's a lot of sound man

  • @whereamigoingnow Zeppelin got a bad rap as a live band ? I think they were regarded as teh best live band in the entire world by their peers ..A group as gifted as these guys cannot be expected to stand like puppets and play 'the hits " in a repetitious boring way night after night . Th epeople who diss Zeppelin live are the same people who depend on FM radio and VH1 to tell them what to listen to . Improvisation is over the head of the modern rock fan , they want to hear 'stairway " again

  • @Cincinnatus1869 preaching to the choir,I was alluding too Page's"sloppiness'(which I don't agree) and some complained about the sparcity of the arrangments as opposed to their studio recordings.I look for improvisation/change up in a band. These four have always done fantastic things in the studio, live,or even fishing on the west coast.

  • @Cincinnatus1869 one of the best short and sweet observations I've read in a while about Zeppelin...On vinyl and live, greatness in both forums...Improvisation is everything when it comes to playing live...otherwise you might as well be in your basement with strobe lights and record / cd playing !!

  • Jesus EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM WERE rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreal fuckin high on drugs. John is the only one who seems to have it together that night!

  • Greatest band ever.

They make the Rolling Stones look like Duran Duran.

  • @mbm13213 AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • can it get any better....RIP JB!

  • I can't believe it - I hit this by accident and wound up sitting here staring at the screen drooling while my face melted.

    OOOOOOOOOH Yah uah yah!

  • Guys. This is a montage of footage from August 11th 1979 synched to audio from 1980.....

  • WOW the most underated musicians in the COSMOS!!!! JP, JB, JPJ and of course the VOICE of LZ RP. That sound,"oh yeh" as fluff would have said.!!

  • @cj75s 'Underrated'?

Dude you do know they are one of the worlds biggest selling bands.

And Jimmy Page is known as one of the greatest guitar players

  • Its been roomered that Plant was so coke'd up while recording the studio version of Kashmir, the engineer had to punch in his vocal lines 1 word at a time

  • @mouloudo ur mom should have swallowed you when she had the chance

  • page is awful live

  • @mouloudo go watch madison square garden

  • @mouloudo

take the dicks out of your ears and start to listen......cunt

  • @eberg92 cant, the dicks are already in your faggot's mouth

  • @mouloudo wow i bet this the only live video you ve seen them do its probaly the only song you know boo you suck!

  • @mcskatersanwhich mmm no... got all there cd's, live, and a dozen bootlegs... live performances are really not Page's forte, I'll take Gilmour, May, Hendrix, Blackmore over him anyday, even if I love page on record, and I still like him live, but it's pretty sloppy... they even fucked up their live aid show, and were the only band to refuse the release of their performance

  • @mouloudo alright you proved me wrong im man enough to admit that was my mistake, okay i respect your opinion but why insult them and ofcorse they fucked up there live aid show they were fucked up yet millions of people still liked it and who cares if they refuse to release there performances look at the video were commenting under, we still got something which is way better than nothing .

  • @mcskatersanwhich and I respect you for that :)

  • @mcskatersanwhich comma , comma , period period

  • @Cincinnatus1869 what?

  • @mouloudo I don't know why people say he's sloppy... he's the one playing the song.. he's not making mistakes, you're just listening to it wrong.

  • It's 1979 footage, 1980 audio. This audio is from July 3rd, 1980. Please read the description before you bash the uploader.

  • 1979

  • Proof that drugs and alcohol don't necessarily mean you're unfit or lack stamina.

  • @FloydyTube Here Here, its what fueled rock n roll man.

  • @FloydyTube Spoken like a true addict. What an idiot thing to say. Yeah, he was SOOOOO fit that he died at a very early age because of drugs and alcohol.

  • @drumgpearl What has being fit (or not) got to do with inhaling his own vomit causing asphyxiation? Is your drumming that much better? Your ability to understand English certainly isn't.

  • @FloydyTube Thank you, Doctor Tube. I'm guessing that you arrived at your conclusion after two minutes and 28 seconds of extensive research on the effects of drugs and alcohol on fitness and stamina. Well done, idiot!

  • the bealtes dont have nothing against THE MIGHTY LED ZEPPELIN!!!!!!

  • @ledzeppelin4304 With all the respect, but as far as I love LedZep too, you gotta respect The Beatles. Like it or not, they revolutionated Rock almost in every aspect, from songwriting, harmony, sound experimentation and song structure. Their creativity had no precedent those days and they influenced all british rock bands who followed, including: Led Zeppelin. Still: it´s obvious that LZ were more virtuosos, epic and shocking on scene.

  • @carmaj156 first of all LED ZEPPELIN were never inspire by the beatles. zeppelin said it themselves. second of all yeah sure the beatles were great but they were only great bacuse they sing catchy songs. ITS IN THEIR NAME.third of alll LED ZEPPELIN WAS THE FIRST BAND TO TAKE THE BEATLES OUT OF THE CHARTS... no other band did. beatles had that record for 8 STRAIGHT YEARS. ZEPPELIN INLY HAD HALF A YEAR AND TOOK THEM OUT. INSPIRE? DOES THE BEATLES HAVE STAIRWAY? NO. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

  • @ledzeppelin4304 Whatever dude.

  • @carmaj156 exactly.

  • @ledzeppelin4304

@carmaj156 Yes, the Beatles do have a "stairway" song. It's called "A Day in the Life", one of the most groundbreaking and influential songs ever written. Listen to it someday and open your mind. Both great bands, but quite different.

  • @NigelCopy DAZED and CONFUSED. 30 MIN. RAPE.

  • led zeppelin videos deserve WAAAAY more views then they do . if youtube was around in the 70s their songs would have proubly 50,000,000 views.

  • @AlmostSkater2100 it should have BILLIONS OF VIEWS!!!!!!!!

  • 1979 not 1980

  • @Matthew8Iadevaia This sound is from 80, the video used is edited over footage from Knewbworth 79.

  • Why the fuck has JPJ a telephone on his organ?! :D

  • @GroupFeedback So they can order pizza during the drum solos duhh..

  • I pitty those fools who don't know the very existance of these Gods

  • best drummer end of story.........

  • wasn't this 1979? and maan bonham is incredible!

  • To me, this is nothing from the other Kashmir from the other performance at Knebworth. And at the end, John Bonham is even more unreal than this! You think he's gonna knock holes in his drums from hitting the fuckers so hard.

  • GO TEAM LASER EXPLOSION!!!!!

    i liek the Bonham.

  • Excellent syncronization and choice .Another version of Kashmir worthy of notice for Bonzo's immense powers would be San Diego June 19th 1977.His fills were quite unusual at that particular gig. Thanks

  • MOAR BONHAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Flangy...

  • Oh hell yeah.

  • Does anyone notice the phone on john paul jones piano? why is it there lol?

  • @southsaturndelta220 In case his wife calls.

  • how could annyone dislike this? seriously

  • just chuck and bonham can play the drums like that

  • This was 1979

  • God I love how much emotion and feeling people would put into their music back then!

  • what song is this

  • @AjelaniBridges kashmir ending ;p

  • Whoa, whoa whoa whoa whhhhhooooaa!! Hold the hell up! Who in the hell thinks alter bridge has anything on Led Zeppelin!? His voice is decent, but is NOT Led Zeppelin material. He sounds like he got hit in the throat with a two by four and then sucked a tiny bit of helium. Nowhere near Zeppelins power. A frontman for Jimmy Page and crew HAS to have that raw edge to them. Not clean cut and pretty. They knew that and that is why Miles will never be selected. Or Steven Tyler

  • @JustinPierce1226 they actually asked myles kennedy to play with them, but he turned it down because he said he could only disappoint.... the fact that zeppelin asked him proves that you are an idiot

  • @quats69 Whoa mate hold up. I didn't even right that lol. I let my cousin on to check out my covers and such and he is NOT a huge alter bridge fan. MY POINT OF VIEW: I think he would have done a decent job. But the voice just would not match the motto ya know? :/ Led Zeppelin has always been Plant, Page, Jones, and Bonham. And that is how it should be. But if they chose to tour and play songs from their albums as a group, then okay. Just not as Led Zeppelin. It would feel very very wrong.

  • @JustinPierce1226 you aren't arguing the point i made, but a whole other point entirely, thus proving you are an idiot.

  • Saw them play this at the Kingdome in 77.

They played for 3 hours 20 minutes no backup bands, and Bonzo's drum solo lasted 30 minutes..

This is THE song played by THE group.

  • Bohnam's rage at 0:45

  • Loving JPJ'S phone at 0:20

  • DAMN!!! HOLY SHITTT

  • I swear this changes my heart rhythm. Amazing.

  • The Zeppelin will forever fly!

  • Notice if you watch Jimmy's footage, it's been recycled from earier in that performance; also notice that Bonzo's footage didn't do this. Clean, heartfelt passion in each shot no one can even touch today. We've lost a legend, and he'll never be forgotten.

  • Way to go out with a bang bonzo, we miss you.

  • so sad...one of his last concerts

  • @aerovankahnezeppelin yes very true...but he went out with a KABOOM!!!!....and hey...you ever wonder what makes all that thunder up there in the clouds?....i dont because i know the answer....JOHN HENRY BONHAM!!!!!.

  • people, the audio is from Mannheim 7/03/1980, im pretty sure theres a bootleg of that somewhere on youtube.

  • 0:09 JPJ is waiting for a call..... OR when he gets hungry he can order a pizza.

  • Why is there a telephone on the organ at 0:10 ?

  • @kleetus92 ok, maybe at 0:09 ...

  • @darknature. I think your right with the sticking. It was a simple fill played fast, but then he reverses it or something. The vid is chopped, but RIGHT after that fill. Man , it may be simple in theory, but to execute it and move it around at that tempo improvise is pretty dam sweet. IMO. Dennis chambers may think otherwise lol

  • Bonham makes the energizer bunny look tired and old.

  • at 0:05 we see a phone on top of JPJ's keyboard. In case the misses calls? LOL :)

  • @suburbia67 Bonham's a beast.

  • Drummers help me out here please. @ 47 seconds, what is Bonham doing? It may be super fast paradidles, Bit I"m not sure................ Anyone?

  • @urajokeMC sounds like hes doin doubles on the snare left hand then 1st cymbal then double snare right hand 2nd cymbal then in reverse everything he did hes showin off

  • @darknature79 the video was reversed at the end to keep the vid segment playing. he never actualy did that at 0:48

  • @urajokeMC now i watched it a few times it looks like something is up with the video

  • this song take me out of this planet

  • ...and with that, the mighty 70's ended.

  • VERY VERY GOOD ENDING

  • i never thought it was possible to play this song live...

  • Give me a flanger on my drums please

  • Knebworth Park 1979 not 1980

  • Can anyone tell me which show this is from?

  • so... i guess this is why plant feels bonzo can never be replaced

  • UHHHHHHHHHHH MY BABY!

  • Jimmy needs way more gain

  • Robert Plant it is rebellious elf

  • that was pretty bro. made me cry a little

  • Can anybody please answer this question: What is the machine or tool used to make the drums have that trippy sound effect at around 1:56? Or is it some keyboard synthesizer?

  • @skaterat121 flanger. it's a studio technique where you offset the mics just so to create a weird phasing...there are guitar pedals that have the effect...

  • @countvonjustin not with mics. thats different. this is mimicing tape flange where two identical sources are played together and one is slightly sped up and slowed down. Think Axis bold as love..

  • What a powerful riff.

  • this is too much -ZEP ftw

  • Wow.

  • amazing.

Note that Page looks awfully skinny here. Due to drug abuse and weight loss as admitted.

  • Bonzo <3 RIP

  • this 1979 ... wow

  • The audio and vid are recorded from the same event.

  • @clouser67 no they are not. aud from manheim, vid form knebworth

  • in robert plant, i see some dave mustaine, not hear it, but the look and the attitude is reminiscent

  • Get your Freakin facts straight you moron...

  • thats totaly different from 1979 the improv words even change from this one to 1979

  • The vid is Knebworth 79, the audio might be from 1980 Tour over Europe.

  • this is art NR 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is sweet. Thanks, mesc. I was around 11 when I heard Plant's voice bellowing 'Whole Lotta Love' from my big bro's room. Thought it was some heavyset, black chick for sure. Hey, it happens. : 1

  • Heavy zep

  • nr 1 AMEN................................

  • nr 1 always

  • Was that actually Led Zepp :S Not to sound newbie, but that was not Led Zepp style - sounded slightly indie, if anything..?

  • Comment removed

  • Are you mad,i was AT THIS GIG!!,it,s august 79,pobably the 4th ,i even know what clothes they wore!!

80 tour was in in germany mostly,Page and plant looked totally different (Plant wore t shirts and jeans, page,s hair was longer, wore suits etc).

Sorry mate but i know my zep shit

  • MIND BLOWING ALL ROUND. Bonham, wow!! Hard to look at Jimmy there, such a skinny dope addict. Love that Danelectro. Thanks for this.

  • john paul jones =]

  • yeah youll notice not all the drum notes match the video. Good job editing though

  • the best rock band of all time

  • bonzos on fire

  • Bonzo= Rock Royalty! His power is unmistakeable.

  • Jimmy Page a playing a Dan
