Oh, and for those who don't know, I got an honorable mention from MC; they said I got it in the following categories: Most Sepia; Best Use of Mobile Phone; Best Noir; Best Dialogue; Best American Accent; Best Hat Removal Scene; Best Farewell to Monica.
Thanks again for the support. I hope you don't totally avoid the forums sherbsherbiesherbet - hopefully with this all over now people will chill out a bit. Generally everyone's well behaved normally and I think you just started the game at the wrong time.
just to say im sad u had the same experience, id stopped coming ere and also removed my vid from the group fer the same reasons.its totally finished the job of putting me off pxc that the forums started. there are some nice ppl around, sadly not many. well done tho, i loved ure vid :o)
Pity how the contest turned out, and I understand your leaving. I hope you still do a sequel/follow up on this. Contest or not, it's an incredible piece of film. Very professional, very good.
Lastly, FWIW my favourites were Great Perplexations...The Moovie, 36 Puzzles, and South Park, though I admired the work of a lot of you. If I'm honest, I thought some sucked too, but I'll leave it up to you to decide which.
I appreciate all the positive feedback and support I've had from various sources for my video. I hope you can all understand why I'm doing this. And for those of you who've dragged this contest into the mud, I hope you grow up soon.
Sadly, the pathetic behaviour of some other players has reflected poorly on the whole community and I'd rather not have anything to do with it. What was intended to be an enjoyable competition has turned into something quite ugly.
I'm clearly not going to get the most views since my marketing campaign didn't extend much further than asking a few people I knew to take a look. I simply wanted to have fun and let the work I'd put in speak for itself.
There's far too much stupid bickering in the Perplex City Video Competition group and I'd rather not be assosciated with it all so I'm removing this video from the group. I considered posting yet another message pleading for a bit of maturity but frankly I think it would fall on deaf ears.
verre nice

Respect your reasons. Just to let you know that I thought this was one of the best entries, and one of my favourites :-)

Pity you pulled out. I reckon you would have been well in the running for one of the discretionary prizes. Maybe they'll award it anyway.

I'd love to see where the story goes! If you get a chance, you should really finish this.
