I don't blame them for protesting Darth Vader. That guy was scary!!! What with the black armor and the cape and the heavy breathing! Brrrrrrr. Scary stuff!
Wait? What? Darth? It is Darth people are afraid of, right?
Shame on those protesters. If gay people want to become straight, then respect their right to do so. Nobody (at least on behalf of NARTH) is saying that THEY have to become straight. These people claim to be all about demanding tolerance for other people's lives and decisions, yet they're debunking those who are on a mission to provide help to those who want it. Hypocrites who can't mind their own business.
Just really desperate to defend their agenda I guess.
@djo9c1 Usually, what happens with people from NARTH is they are pressured or convinced to attend this, usually though people using guilt, damnation est. This is a organization that takes a group and convinces them further that who they are is wrong. It has no place or qualification as a "therapy" and deserves to be protested.
Well.....so you're saying that you have a choice for your orientation? So when did you decide to be straight? Assuming you are, I believe you were born that way don't you? People are born LGBT all the time. Face it, it's real.
Well if that's the case, then how come whenever a mother gives birth to twins/triplets, etc., the chances that one child out of the set will become gay get higher? Next time you say, "people aren't born gay", provide some evidence, which in this case, is non-existant. Go gay pride!
My only experience with so called reparative therapies is one off.
A family friend tried to escape being gay but two things resulted. First, his conversion to heterosexuality did not take, and second it served to enhance his psychological problems.
Thanks for the video, Wayne! You did a great job. I read there were only 50 or so people in that hotel that actually showed up for NARTH. We had about that many in our protest.
