  • ERROR. * from the soundtrack of HANNIBAL !!!!!!!!!!!! NOT "THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS"

  • I just got into Law school 2 minutes ago, my way of celebrating is listening to this, in peaceful harmony with Dr. Lecter

  • @petaisajoke Congrats!

  • I can honestly say that this is the most beautiful and harrowing song I have ever heard. It always makes me want to cry in joy or sadness. I love the movie Hannibal. Cassidy ranks right next to Vivaldi, Chopin, Bach in music composition. It is absolutely amazing.

  • almost everyone references the movie 'Hannibal' but this song always makes me think of the movie 'Kingdom of Heaven' and probably one of the saddest movie scenes ever...when the King is visited by his sister one more time before he dies.

  • I named my dog after his sister :)

  • The MOST beautiful song ever written!

  • cannibal porn............finally

  • This is the music I want to hear, when I walk through the gates of Heaven

  • its wonderful,so touching ,relaxing.U hear this song when Im on stress. It works inmediately...

  • love this music i would like to know of any other opera music like this ,please reply!

  • @ThePhoenix3710 Madame Butterfly by Puccini if u don't know it already. The Arabian Dance from The Nutcracker. And a fav of mine, Chopin's Nocturne in E flat major. I'm no connaisseur but I love these.

  • 25 people weren't asked bowels in or bowels out.

  • Absolutely adore this piece.....Patrick Cassidy is a genius.

  • listenning this song !!

    my soul clean

  • I don't think I could ever hear another opera as beautifully crafted as this. Incidentally, if anyone can point me in the direction of other operas that even remotely resemble or match the breadth and reverence of this piece I would be ever so grateful.

  • @Joyness333 : Madame Butterfly

  • @schwenckiehen It's not Madame Butterfly, it's a piece specially written for the film.

  • Comment removed

  • @Joyness333 Listen to the Marriage of Figaro and Definitely Madame Butterfly.

  • Hannibal Lecter is THE fictional masterpiece of the 20th Century, without a shadow of a doubt!

Anyone who makes up a character or franchise as masterful as this will never be able to catch up to what they`ve created in terms of popularity and notoriety!!!

  • nearly shit my pants when that last part played....

  • Dr. Lector?...Dr. Lector?.......Dr. Lector?

    Awesomely disturbing movie xD

  • Music that takes you drifting through the clouds

  • Beautiful song, really marvelous!

  • this is magic touch my heart and my soul

  • There is nothing more beautiful and uplifting than great Music.....

  • A timeless song, for a timeless movie. 10

  • I wonder why every movie, in my oppinion has so buitiful music

Poor sardinian tuff guys. They have no chance against Hannibal.

A spyderco pocketknife is more than enough if you are prepared to use it.

Very lovely music as always to violent masterpiese movies.

    i violent scene

  • beautifull music ,haevenly,i lissen over and over again, and antony you are the best acteur ever

  • sad... to think clarice never loved him... he went all the way around the world for her, and yet she doesnt love him... the thought got me sad... such a wonderful man, so artistic but twisted, but maybe that is what im attracted to.

  • @superjail12321 She loved him in the books at least.

  • @superjail12321 If it cheers you up, in the novel she does love him, and they end up running away together.

  • Oh and senator? - Yes? - Love the suit!

  • No Mason, no.. I much prefer you the way you are. So dinner at 8 !.

  • This is so incredibly beautiful.

  • Comment removed

  • it rubs the lotion on its skin, or else it gets the hose again

  • beautifully sung by Danielle De Nise from the hannibal movie

  • I hate to comment on the dislike button! But 18 people probably had a relative eaten by a cannibal.

  • I have friends who always bitch because Jodie Foster was replaced by Julianne Moore in the second one. Such things have never bothered me. The play is the thing. Just lose yourself in the storytelling. Who cares if the actors are different.

  • @wiscounter THey both did great in their own way.

  • Yeah, what was up with that ending?

  • This......... is really going to hurt.

  • @NickellNo1 : That's hilarious. I love this music. I would give a lot just to be able to make a sound like that woman.

  • @NickellNo1 :'(

  • absolutley brilliant!

  • now this music i can relax to and it fits so well in the Hannibal movie

  • OMG how can such beutiful song appear on such violent movie, well the movie is terror and romance.

    I think.

  • I iz hannibal

and i iz gona eat yo brain

  • Ta Ta

  • this song features on ridley scott's other movie; kingdom of heaven

  • this has got to be the most beautifulist piece of music i have ever heard

  • @dannycool12345 I agree. It stirs me and gives me chills.

  • On wich cd is standing this song???

Couse the cd i bought is something diffrent.

What is the title of the cd with this song??

    Can you tell me please??

    Thanks

  • @jessedaan its actually on the Hannibal Soundtrack, not Silence of the Lambs. The CD is called Hannibal: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

  • I agree with agent47ruls, I love this song but that end part is what gets me everytime. LOL!

  • Gänsehaut--Goosebumbs

  • i like it very much

  • Chorus: E pensando di lei Mi sopragiunse uno soave sonno Ego dominus tuus Vide cor tuum E d'esto core ardendo Cor tuum (Chorus: Lei paventosa) Umilmente pascea. Appresso gir lo ne vedea piangendo. La letizia si convertia In amarissimo pianto Io sono in pace Cor meum Io sono in pace Vide cor meum
  • WHY DOES THIS MAKE YOU SMILE

  • I know I probably sound like a pussy but this music makes me fill up. I dont know what it is cos I dont like opera or I dont think I do but this has something. I never tire of listening to it .... And by the way it is from the amazing Hannibal not silence of the lambs.

  • TaTa - H

  • I'll decide for you.

  • gut`s in or out ?

  • Absolutely beautiful!!!!

  • This song is also used in Kingdom Of Heaven Score

  • @Evilresident93

i believe this song is from the movie Hannibal and not Silence of the Lambs

  • @sukmahskittlz your right it is :)

  • Class, real class

  • I must admit that I can't help but be in awe of his character. The way he's portrayed as a perfectly reasonable and intelligent man with an abhorrence of the impolite is class, his switch from gentleman to killer is a work of art.

  • @andylinney this is the intelligence of the writer. How fine is the line between intellegence and madness? It is mainly down to societies interpretation.

  • The way he stood when Clarisse approached him..stance .slightly askew, hands by his sides and slighly curled up to a loose fist. And that look on his face. Coldly veiled anticipation with a hint of awe. Chilling . That was Hopkins. All Hopkins. Not the director.

  • @Malloyism u fuckin goon

  • wonderful song, one of my favorites..but..this was not in silence of the lambs as the description said, its from the movie Hannibal....

  • and please not the back row, i want to "see" the opera.

  • @luyben12 Hans Zimmer I thought.

  • "Try peeling off your face.... and feeding it to the dogs."

  • @Photo314159 "It seemed like a good idea at the time..."

  • @luyben12

from wiki : "Vide Cor Meum" is a song composed by Patrick Cassidy based on Dante's "La Vita Nuova"

i've seen some movies using this song :

    - kingdom of heavens (when the king dies)

    -hanibal

    - there's a good video about " Bram Stroker Dracula" using this video on youtube, but i dont know if this song features on that movie

  • Ahh just watched Hannibal for the umpteenth time. Anthony Hopkins and Julianne Moore directed by the Legend Ridley Scott! Fabulous!! I think RS should do a Bond movie...maybe Bond 24!

  • @Cathysfan That would be interesting.

  • One small correction; this is from the Hannibal soundtrack--not the Silence of the Lambs sountrack. I'm not brow-beating. Just helping out.

  • It speaks to the soul. Even if you don't know the language.

  • love this piece....draws a tear everytime

  • Nice song, but not classical opera

  • Another haunting tune obviously does something for me. Just love this!

  • My cat loves this bit.

  • @yersubconscious

    Your cat is cool

  • Ich liebe den Soundtrack

  • do you think there's gonna be another lecter movie?

  • @poiuytreza11 I soo hope so!

  • oh. yes i love it so. its what the angels sing.

  • " Seriously ", right now I'm getting goose bumps listening to This ! (coming from an 80's metal rocker).

  • gorgeous song

  • beautifull song

  • i like the liberas opera in this movie...!

  • Hannibal Lecter is sexy as fuck ;)

  • Incredible. This has made me actually like opera.

  • this song describes hannibals personality......oh it's calm, it's serene, it seems gentle, oh man this might be a great great...4:06 .BUT!! BAM oh wait. I'm dead.

  • incredibly moving song.

  • I replayed the hell out of this. Soul reason - The "Ta ta" at the end.

  • I wish we could have just one more film with him as Hannibal where Clarice kisses him in the end :)) I just love the whole story about him. No wonder he was the way he was to rude people, I feel like eating them too :))

  • @rainbowdragon131065 You should read the book then. this is exactly what happens in the end ... and a great deal more ;)

  • @Aysannes Cool I Will look out for the books thanks :))

  • Hannibal is pretty good, as far as sequels go. The Florence chapter is superb film-making.

  • @ACDC640

I dont agrea, making Hanibal the center of the movie was a mistake imo, you learn too much of the character and that basicly makes him less then he was in the first movie imo.

  • @Decenium Very well said. The major villian in Silence of the Lambs was Buffalo Bill, but there Dr. Lector was, stealing the show in what, 3 or 4 scenes of dialog with Clarice? The mystery of Hannibal Lector was left up to the viewers imagination which made him all the more scarier.

  • I'm giving serious thought... too eating your wife.

  • @thunderstick455 what a great movie-the part when she pays her last visit to her dying brother to when she says that line is one of the most heartbreaking movie scenes i've ever seen.

  • @thunderstick455 what part?

  • @thunderstick455 What if she has crabs?

  • this song reminds me of kingdom of heaven. "If i have your knights...you have your queen."

  • @yangmeister666 "if my son has your knights" :)

  • @yangmeister666

    It is the same song

  • 17 dislikers are "free-reigned rude" and probably don't know what that means (or what will happen to them)

  • I could easily fall asleep listening to this beautiful music...and I probably would to if 4:06 wouldn't wake me up and scare the shit outta me.

  • @Agent47rulz I had the same thought, so I took an mp3 of it and cut the last few seconds off. problem solved.

  • @Agent47rulz save the video, open it as an mp3, use wavepad and delete the parts that you dont like.

  • plus jodie foster due to some unknown reason did not wanted to show her legs as required by the script.jodie is 5-1 and a substitute people would immediately recognize that it is not her and many other reasons which is private.

  • just love it...

  • This piece is absolutely wonderful.

  • I absolutely adore this track. It's incredibly relaxing and inspires such amazing feelings that words cannot even describe.

  • hannibal inspired me to become a maneater

  • Neither Hopkins or Zimmer wrote this piece - Cassidy did. And it's not in any way a part of Silence of the Lambs.

It was an original score written for Hannibal.

    Come on people...

  • haha think I'm the only one who thinks Hannibal is the ultimate romantic...lucky Starling! Cut off his arm for her! Love when he tells her she's been 'sent to craft[his] doom'

  • sublime

  • a wonderful song :)

  • This is just amazing. Just amazing and nothing much.

  • Incredible music

  • Another – at present relatively unknown – crime mystery thriller that looks really good is called With Cold Hearts by David Hurst, trailer is on YouTube here: – /watch?v=JLZY-CKoPMA

  • Music is from Hannibal not from the silence of the lambs

  • I must admit, I am normally not one for these BS music montages....they become so trite after awhile....but this one is quite good.

  • i like to have sex while watching this movie <3

  • Why is a can of evaporated milk not empty ?

  • anthony hopkins wrote this piece of music, genius indeed

  • @jbjno1 Anthony Hopkins did not write this you Berk. Christ, this world is actually filled with people that are so simple in their deductions that we believe them to only live in the world of film.

  • @jbjno1

Hopkins did not write this mate... Zimmer did.

  • @shitbringer - Hans Zimmer did not write this - it was Patrick Cassidy.

  • @shitbringer but darlin amazon gives anthony hopkins credit on the soundtrack listings. . .so idk, i know zimmer had a hand but hmmmmm.. . .either way just luciousness

  • Music is atmospheric, but strikes me as a moment or mood captured in time rather than a complete thought. It just doesn't sound finished. It's incomplete. Maybe even a bit superficial or commercial. I thought it was a bit touching that they chose to make Hannibal Lecter express his affection for Starling more explicitly at the end of this movie. Foster was more convincing than Moore but less feminine. Nice demon/devil in the opera scene. Just like out of some some old Italian painting.

  • I LOVE this song, but hate the very last part with the loud sound. I wish I could find this song without it. I'd love to fall asleep to it, without the loud sound at the end, waking me up in a panic.

  • @xYakushiKabuto you can probably download the song at bee mp3 with out the loud sound at the end i hope that was help

  • Mein Lieblingsfilm :)

  • Hard to believe this piece is only a few years old. Its as good as any of the old operas

  • You know, I almost never comment, however, this music...I am not sure if an eargasm is something that exists, but this music is the closest thing that has ever come to one. It is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard.

  • @halobenders84 why not?.. seriously

  • Great song. However, it is not from the Silence of the lambs-soundtrack. This song was written for the movie Hannibal, and is on that soundtrack.

  • Currently listening to the audiobook, beautiful.

PS: yes, I am too lazy to read!

  • Aside from this cannibal(am I spelling it wrong?)thing Hannibal was quite remarkable don't you think? A really complex character. What's the man's name - the Author of the book. (oh, shame on me, I forgot =( ) Genius!

And Sir Anthony Hopkins - he IS Hannibal Lecter! I don't think I would love the movies as much as I do without him..

The song is also beautiful. I've heard it first in the movie and ever since I love it and listen to it almost every day.

    What a song

    What a movie

    What an actor!

  • @RandomMammal Thomas something... (looks on wikipedia) Harris! Thomas Harris! Of course. My, I'm so embarrassed!

Hey, did any of you read the book 'Hannibal' by him... I was quite taken aback (having seen the movie first) but gorgeous though. I might even like it better than the silence of the lambs. (I'm not that convinced of the Red Dragon - though a great book too) Don't know... pretty equal. So, everybody, go read the books if you haven't yet - you won't regret it!

    Ta ta ;P

  • I've been in love with that man since childhood, which scares the pants off of me.

  • When the dvd came out, I just set the end titles on a loop and played video games with this on in the background, lol.

  • Was reading the book Hannibal the other day, Made the film seem positively pleasant

  • @assassainscreed I know right? That book raped the legacy of Silence of the Lambs. It was easy to see why Jodie Foster didn't want to be involved with a sequel that had such an insulting ending.

  • This score is stunning. on culch.ie there is a great review of the film and the music under their soundtracks section!

  • i liked the silence but i have to admit i prefer Hannibal.

  • @nashers118 Same here... I loved both, but I prefer hannibal... I guess it's because the story focuses more anrounf hannibal.

  • Shame that Jodie Foster did not play Clarice in Hannibal :(

  • @GoGUltra Yeah what was she thinking? Ridley scott too.

  • @GoGUltra ....why? Moore was a thousand times better and much better looking ....Foster sucks!

  • @bobbya16

62 movies Julianne Moore Academy Award Far from Heaven 2002

74 movies Jodie Foster Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress Taxi driver 1976 Academy Award for Best Actress in 1989 The Accused Academy Award for Best Actress 1991 Silence of the lambs Academy Award in Nell 1994

Maybe you can see that there is no way in hell Foster is a bad actress!

  • @GoGUltra ....Nice mathematical equation to get your point across...bravo! but maybe this one will better explain my point...Times I would fuck Jodie Foster = 0....Times I would fuck Julianne Moore = Till my eyes bled! Get it! stick Foster and your academy award stats up your ass....as for academy awards , how good can they be, they gave one to eminem...

  • @GoGUltra trueish I kinda like the fact that she respected the first films impact and contributed to its enduring effect by not staring in another and giving 'more than enough'.

  • @Dolphidood

Im not sure if I understood what you really meant but well if I did heres my reply:

Yeah she did a good role as an actress but what I dont like is that they change actress from the first movie to the sequal.

Hannibal was too sickly, Silence Of The Lambs were the limit for still being entertaining or interesting.

  • @GoGUltra Sorry, its not because they changed the actress. Jodie Foster didn't want to play the part and I admired that she tried not to spoil the affect that the Silence of the lambs did have on people by not playing Clarice again. In my opinion, I think her part meant a lot in that film and to see her again years later in a film with a different director would have just deflated the 'after taste' of the original pre film.

  • @Dolphidood

    Yeah could be.

Its hard to make successful a follower to such a classic film but this was not even a bit good, I think Ridley made the whole film into a mess but maybe thats just me.

  • @GoGUltra I know what you mean. However, I actually enjoyed the filming aspect of the fact that it brought out the modern civilisation of Florence and that it still holds its history, visually through its architecture. I do think Ridley's done better though.

  • @Dolphidood

Not to mension The Red Dragon where they choose worst possible actor: Edward Norton such a light weight.

  • @GoGUltra Ohh yeah, tell me about it. To be honest, I didn't like any of the actors in that film except for Anthony Hopkins who usually does well because he's actually a qualified actor, so I've heard. That Norton bloke is too 'border line Dawson's creek' for my liking and it just kinda stops me taking the whole thing seriously. Silence of the lambs was good because you could take it seriously. That's just me anyhow.

  • @Dolphidood

With such bad acting the whole film felt really plastic and there were other things that bugged me for example when Nortons wife (in the film) were firing the gun he gave her there were no recoil which made it feel even more PLASTIC!!!

    Almost hated that movie :)

  • @GoGUltra lol me too... the blind woman was the worst acting for me ;)

  • @Dolphidood

Yeah, specially the blow job scene since it made no sense that a blind women who hardly knew the guy would do that.
