    The horn button was nismo as i needed something for the shoot. Got an OMP one in place now.

    besides rocking nismo parts on only nissan cars is stupid. I would gladly take some LMGT4 wheels on most Japanese cars.

  • I'll forgive the crappy music cause the MR2 is so nice, who'd have thought a chocolate coloured MR2 could look good, I'd consider that colour now. lol

    Its a beautiful MR2 and with the listed upgrades on the ct20 you can get 300whp. yes you can! boostinserge my compliments. for your SW22 Its a nice and clean Pure JDM Street car with class!! not low/slow pure class. and still the seat , belt and the roll cage. just incase something happends healthy is number! priority

    I own a gen II and gen III SW20 but this absolutely kicks ASS!

  • LED dome lights :D i also have them, but wtf would you list them as upgrades?! also i dont see a point installing a roll cage, when you have a totally low&slow setup, show me a video where this car is ripping tarmac at track.. engine pretty much stock :/

    looks good though! should have skipped the rollcage or get rid of that low/slow style. my 2c, proud owner of forged rev3.

    Roll Bar was a gift from my gf. And i would install it in there anyday even if it wasn't. In case the car somehow flips over i rather not have the glass t tops be the only thing from keeping my head out of the pavemenet.

    And this isn't a track car, its a street car. Even if it was a track car, 300whp is plenty for that.

  • @boostinserge 300whp? show me dyno sheet :) i didnt see aftermarket ECU on that list. fuel upgrade + boost is not enough. exhaust gives you roughly 20-25hp over the stock 245. that is about 200-210 Whp. it would have to take about 2bar of boost (that is 30psi) to make 300whp. Without aftermarket ECU, forged internals, uprated turbo/ic AND huge fuel injectors - impossible :)

    otherwise good looking car, excellent condition. but if it were me, id raise it an inch, at least.

    no dynos... plenty of people making about 260-270whp with identical mods. since then i have added meth injectoion and raised the boost even more. 300whp isn't unheard of with those mods.

    As for the seatbeat, in the interior shot of the car i was driving the car at less than 2mph getting it around potholes

  • @boostinserge no way. 300whp is about 350-360hp at flywheel. its just not enough fuel injectors. meth injection. if its jdm rev3, you should have ceramic turbo which would break to pieces at 1.7~1.9 bar. if you want that power, start with ECU. while rev3 ecu is heaps better than rev2, its still never good enough for 300whp. it can handle 300 flywheel horses though. stock injectors are also at their limit at 300 flywheel. do a dyno test. or iphone test (Dynolicious/Rev/etc apps)

  • @briinums p.s. my rev3 - last two videos at youtube.com /user/JapcarLV/videos , pretty much stock - full 3" exhaust, forged internals, higher compression, walbro. nothing special, no raised boost, ~260 flywheel horses are good enough for me :)

  • unfortunatly i cant post link in my responce but if u go on mr2 dyno records there are plenty of 300whp ct20 cars. one with a nearly identical setup as me on meth at 300.... now i may not be right at 300 but i think within 20whp it should be.

    Besides its more than enough for the street. My last car was 520whp and it was too boring to drive on the street.

  • Very cleanly done deuce. The Kaminari front lip flows so well w/ the Border side skirts. Not much into chrome, but the SSR SP1 looks good.

    Its fab work so most likely cant do it yourself unless you can weld... Most of the shelf coilovers for these car will let the car go maybe 1/4 of an inch higher. With my modified coils if i wanted to i could probably lower it anoher 1.5 inches... Also car is for sale for 13k

  • I will go with the 17's though... ugh pitty I really had a deal on some meshies but what do you mean by modifying the coilovers, what exactly would be th procedure? BTW I have a wood grain momo gritti that would pull off super hard on your mr2 if youre interested!

    nah i dislike wood grain wheels... The pricedure depends on the coilover with mine (Apexi) we ended up custom fabbing a whole new sway bar end link bracket and taking all the collars out of the coils. Every coilover is different though...

    I would be more interested in the meshies haha

  • you have helped a lot!! thank you. but will I tuck??? im debating on ssr formula mesh 16s... but if you think 17's will run better then I will spend the extra cash on some vs xx. sorry to bother you but Im also wondering what type of suspension I should run. Im not worried about stiffness as much as I am worried about going as low as I can go... last but not least, where did you find your kaminari front lip. Im killing myself trying to find one. sorry for all the questions, new to the mr2 game

    whether or not it will tuck depend on width/offset. But it will be hard to tuck 16s. Most likely any coilovers you get will need to be modified in some way or another to be completely slammed.

    Kaminari lip is pretty hard to find used... u can buy a new one from them. My perfect wheels setup would be 16s in the front 17 rear so its really up to you. Tucking 16s will for sure be a task though... U shouldn't consider kaminari lip if you want to tick 16's keep oem everything on the car.

  • admire your mr2 seen it all over the web.... wondering would I be able to tuck and slam my car at the same height with 16's but on a tire with a 50 sidewall??? very important question because Im undecided on the wheels I want to buy and Im very skeptical on what I should get

    Two years ago i ran 16's when the car was still white... It looked pretty good.

    I wouldn't go with a 50 profile though. 45is the way to go.

    The horn button was temporary as i needed a horn. Omp horn button is now in place along with new rear diffuser as seen on Canibeat feature.
