you must be both completely stupid, of course the bull is killed, just not in front of the crowd and not right away, the bull stays in a 'cell', waiting for he slaughterhouse to open (monday morning), when the bullfights hapen friday night, so, the bull stays 2.5 days, with a developing infection on its back, just to spare a few sensible people of seeinga bull die... kind of hipocryt...

if you dont like the video, then just don't watch it. The bull barely feels that, especially here in Portugal. Bulls are probably are most prized animals, they symbolize a lot to our people. No bull dies ever in Portugal never, that's only in Spain which is sick and disgusting. I see how it's 'cruel' but bulls fuck up people a lot worse. And those guys are not 'attacking' the bull, its a challenge. Man vs. Bull the bull doesn't get hurt at all during that the Men do.

@pmss212 hahaha where the hell did you hear this? im sorry, i know many of the suppliers of the bulls and they are not "electrocuted" afterwards. if theyre a good bull they get put onto breeding lists.

@MissCheshireCat19 In a normal bullfight when they rip the bulls back apart, most of the bulls will be killed. Im Alentejano from Evora and i grow up around bulls and bullfights as was my brother Magalhaes wich as part of Grupo de Forcados Amadores de Evora from 86 till 95, That's how I know my friend, it was happening in and before 1994 if anything has changed i dont know my friend but that is what i know and seen. long live our tradition...

@pmss212 No, things have definitely changed; now they release the bulls back to the pastures for breeding rights if anything. I am more accustomed to the ones in the US where they use the back patch rather than driving the spears in, which might be why. I love bullfights, and respect the portuguese culture for not killing the bull as well as trying to make it as painless for the bull as possible. and yes, LONG LIVE TRADITION :D

@TheHusky20 No!! it's used again later at another bullfight Portuguese people never kill bulls,reason why they are our represent our strength.i should know my uncle in Portugal has a few of them and has them compete in bullfights and it's all about points to see how good the bull can last for a season meaning a year.then if the bull is a really good one other owners will pay to see if the owner of the bull wants to stud it out, ,if you kill a bull in Portugal your looking at 10 yrs in prison.

@cookieCRUNCHER2 1st: you get hurt when someone pulls your hand? :O 2nd: maybe you don't like it and i respect your opinion but don't say that the forcados deserve to die. the forcados are the only ones that enter that ring facing the bull bare handed and the "pega" is the only part of this "sport" that the only ones that get hurt are those guys. but yes, i know what you want to say and i'm not a fan of the bullfighting in general, i only like to see the forcados facing the bull

@xupax if they pulled it as hard as they could im pretty sure it would dislocate which doesnt feel great... Its like cheating, you feel bad when you get caught even though its still just as bad when you dont. Im sure if these guys knew that they would die they wouldnt do this, but no they wanted to face a bull...well thats what they get for it.

@cookieCRUNCHER2 you can't "dislocate" a tail; u either break it or you don't. ive been to bullfight my entire life and ive never seen a broken tail. all these guys have it respect for the bull and when they dont, you best believe that the crowd will make them get out of the arena. we care about our people as much as we care about our bulls; this is an old tradition and we have done everything we can to protect the bull from any harm. do us all a favor, learn a few things before you get pissy

@MissCheshireCat19 I was talking about dislocating a hand, but breaking a tail sounds pretty bad to me. Its hard not to get pissy when you see things like this, the bull didnt ask to be part of your little games and its beyond stupid to hurt an animal for entertainment. Even if you do all you can to protect the bull (if you watch more of these videos it honestly does not seem like people give a fuck about the bull), its obviously not having a good time when a group of men are attacking it..

@cookieCRUNCHER2 you do understand the point of bloodless bullfights right...? they dont kill the bull and they dont stab it in the back; instead they put a velcro patch on it ts back, and the bulls are not harmed. also the bulls are not forced to do anything. yea, the men are attacking it by jumping all over it... are you an idiot? they stand a few feet away and let the bull charge. im sure there are more things to concern yourself with than cultural traditions that you cant begin to understand
