@028574319 After removing the 7/16 clutch bolt ...I used an impact to get the large hollow bolt off.. I then made a 3/4" round by 3.25" Long plug out of an old brass drift I had. I use the plug in the hollow clutch drive and tighten the large bolt on it to press the clutch off .. I didnt want to screw up the original Large hollow bolt so I picked a solid one up.. This and the plug are now have my primary removal Puller set..
@hoffbug just picked up a gasket & seal kit for the motor it whisles when it runs so i,m sure it needs the kit ,got 2 new hood straps ,and nos muffler ,so i,m working on it this winter.
Ive dug into mine more than I wanted to this week... but am glad I did... Started with clutches and now have the whole jackshaft out.. You just never know what your getting with a 37 year old snowmobile..;-)
works for me thanks
