  • heyy! can you write the oxygene2 tabs of that part where you wrote "it is easier to play using one finger per hands"?i can play the song except this faster part....

  • brilliant !

  • love it!!!!

  • wow dude.. may i marry your music? i just love your tunes! :)

  • Guys do you realize that he is much better than most people on tyros & motif machines??? WTF ??? Respect man !!!

  • Please help! can you explain about the other things? I have a synth and am learning some JMJ pieces but cannot play all the parts at once! How does one go about recording them? What type of recorder is recommended? Do I need a mixer and a laptop as well? How do you get the whizzy bits? Does the phaser run off the mains or batteries? I've run out of sockets, the synth and speakers are plugged in near the TV, DVD etc. I'm wondering how much all these other items will cost!

  • I tried this , i have the same keyboard (old crusty and dusty) but the sounds doesnt sound like at u. You probably edit the keyboard sounds with a audio program. ..

  • @StrictlyBG I sent the SA-35 output to a phaser guitar pedal. I used the Electro-Harmonix Small Stone, but other phasers should produce a similar effect.

  • This is awesome, well done!

  • Most excellent. The sign of a true musician, working with the humblest of tools to create sounds of beauty.  {applause}

  • @gridsleep Thank you, but don't forget that the most of "oxygenation" comes from the phaser effect and the minipops drums.

  • Nice, but I want you to play oxygene 3 and oxygene 5 on this. You can easy do that.

  • @keyboardjeff The problem with Oxygenes 3 and 5 is that they require some instruments that could be very hard or tricky to emulate with the SA-35, and the final part of Oxygene 5 needs some kind of sequencer or arpeggiator to sound right.

  • Is cmatsuoka a seudonym for Jean Michel Jarre? Thats feaking awesome!

  • Can you tell us the model name of this nice CASIO, pleez, pleez?

  • @xemivaigfort It's an SA-35.

  • @Nequame Fixed.

  • @Nequame Jesus loves you, no matter how angry and conceited you have allowed life to make you. You'd feel better if you worked on making your own life less disappointing, instead of taking it out on others to make yourself feel superior for a moment.

  • Better than a professional Yamaha keyboard.

  • Loving it dude. But could you give a proper tutorial on how to play this? I'd love that. :)

  • Great idea, great video! Thanks for the tips!

  • superb..I have a casio sa-35...it rocks

  • Stunning!

Did you actually played all the sounds from that machine?

  • @cmatsouka Did you use Boss recorder to recorded each part as a different track ?

  • This is truly epic, I mean that.

  • Do you know if the chord function of the first octave can be remove ?

  • what sampler are you using to keep the loops playing????

  • @iminperth It's not a samples, just old-school overdubs. Each part was played manually and recorded in a different track.

  • that is brilliant man.nicely done.

  • @pmcn05 Thank you

  • OMG!!! Kudos to you my friend!

  • Just goes to show it's not the instrument, it's the musician that makes the music.

  • @nhand42 Too right. I once heard that Jarre used to carry around a Mini keyboard (forget the make) so he could bang out his ideas when travelling.

  • yeah right

  • This is my video with oxygene 4, I was able to play by watching your video !

    Thanks for inspiration !!!!

  • Thanks for inspiration !

  • B-Dur

  • I don't have the score, I played it by ear but you can find many midi files around or figure out most of the notes in the video itself.

  • Are all the sounds in this video coming out of that tiny keyboard?

  • All melodic sounds are. Filter effects and percussion come from elsewhere.

  • I dont get it. Why is this a toy?

  • Build quality, usabilty and price point suggest it is. And not many pros using it :)

  • ur good

  • No, I'm not, it's mostly smoke and mirrors coming from the phase shifter and the filter effects ;)

  • Oxygène live in your toy room !

  • Hey could u help me? ... I have one equal but i dont know where i can find scores to play it ! please Help me ... I do what u want!

  • I guess you can get a midi file from the net and extract the score from there using a midi sequencer software.

  • nice very nice :-), congratulations.

  • inspiring and very well explained!

thank you so much, I'll try myself!

  • Both amazing and interesting; 5 out of 5 stars! Keep up the good work :D

  • very very good, congratulation!

  • My next favourite :>

  • Very nice video and playing, great job!

  • VERY GOOD!!!!!! A++++++++

  • sa-35!

  • lol thats why i got a roland ,but this is very good played

  • Great job man! Could you tell me where did you get the music sheet or midi, i'm searching that higher part of Oxygene II, but i ain't finding it =(

    Thanks and congrats!

    5 Stars for sure

  • is this a fake video? how are the synth sounds so good for a toy keyboard? please explain.

  • The phaser and delay improve the sounds considerably, and the oscillator noises and Jarre-like drums are smoke & mirrors to keep the illusion. It works quite well :)

  • very very incredible !!!

very good version of oxygene, well done !! =)

  • That's awesome! 5 stars! You did a great job there. But - to be honest - without the little support from all the other stuff (Microkorg, Boss BR-900 etc.) it wouldn't sound the same... ;-)

  • And the phaser. I daresay that nearly anything played in C minor with minipops-like drums and the Small Stone will end up sounding like Oxygene (I should play something totally unrelated using this setup to prove/disprove this claim). These minipops drums were synthesized using only sine and sawtooth waves and then sampled as a drum kit in the BR-900, no actual minipops samples were used.

  • Can you please do the 2nd Oyxgene volume up next? My fave is Oxygene 8!

  • Thanks for the comments. I just checked the new Oxygenes and the fast, punchy bass lines seem to be a bit more difficult to emulate with my keyboard in such a way that the original feeling is kept (except part 13 which is very easy). I think I should give someone else the opportunity to raise the bar playing 7-13 -- wouldn't you like to give it a try? :-)

  • Brilliant, I spotted this on Synthopia! I <3 how you provided instructions as you played. VERY fun.

  • excellent! :)
