in my opinion you can´t compare the atmosphare of FEAR2 to FEAR1. in FEAR2 I was used to run and shoot around instantly because the atmosphare simply allowed me to play like that. now when I purchased FEAR1 after beating FEAR2 (got FEAR2 as a present back then) I realized you can´t play like that. everything´s just so dark so you end up sneaking around. and everytime a can falls on the floor you get freaked out - let alone the actual psycho rape moments of FEAR1 which last for MINUTES partly

@realmythbustin the reason why you probably didnt saw this parts is because you didnt do the same as he did, what i mean if for example you open a door and there is alma.. Some people didnt open a door or turn a switch or whatever and that is why you didnt get to see those scary parts.

Helghast look spooky and in campaign they feel weaker than humans. I liked Gears of War 1 style. I wish there was more shooters like that, the enemies there look totally like LOTR orcs with guns. If i was developer, i would take games like MOH series and make similar FPS, only your up against LOTR style "dark forces", such as orcs with tanks and guns instead of nazis. Rest would be similar to typical MOH where your just simple soldier fighting to survive instead to save world like in CoD.

@Matttheweatherman13 Doom has silly enemies, i dont see them as demonic at all. They dont look anything scary. I think Killzone 2 had somewhat spookier atmosphere than FEAR games, for some reason some people have posted comments that they thought helghast soldiers are in fact mosters hiding under the masks of these red eyes, and not some form of human. I think LOTR style orcs with guns in apocalyptic world would make a perfect enemy, but probably nobody else likes this idea besides me :(

You know how they could make this game even scarier? Instead of puting replica and ATC forces into game, they should have use some demonic soldiers that work together with those ghost like entities. Make whole series about supenatural evil and stuff :P Like that under the mask of a replica you would NOT find a human or human-related soldiers, but something far more "satanic". Maybe a human and orc hybrids, who knows.
