  • Out of all the vids in this series, this one is my absolute favorite, HANDS DOWN!

  • It looks cool and all with all the pretty poses thrown in, but it is all choreographed combat. Do any of you ever try just fighting one another? You know, like LIVE?

Oh, and have you ever tried pretty little turns and fancy footwork in armor,... or at least in historic clothing?

  • Skall. Uh. I think you're missing the point. I'm pretty sure they're part of an acting class that teaches choreography? It's not trying to be REAL combat. Its supposed to be entertaining...

  • Yeah, I get that. What I do is also entertainment, but it's done live and in actual clothing and armor used at the time....

  • Choreographed fights are supposed to be entertaining to others, while live fights are more entertaining to the competitors.

  • Usually that might be the case for the live fights you've seen, but you haven't seen ours live. We are NOT in competition with one another and are putting on a show for the public. Who, by the way, have always been very vocal to us about how much they appreciate and enjoy our demonstrations....

.... shows how much you think you know, I guess.

  • I'm not being condescending. I think I misunderstood. Do you do like, historical re-ennactments? By what you've said, it sounds like it isn't choreographed, but authenticated with armor and full clothing. When you said live, I was under the impression that you meant improvised, or just a "real" fight. Fights like that can be amazing and entertaining in their own right, and if that's what you do, then I'm sure it is. However, when some people say live, they mean12year-olds swinging wooden sticks.

  • ... um, see where it says my username... "skallagrimm"? you do know that you can click on it and see for yourself what we do, right?

  • Will do!

  • LOL!

The guy at 00:35 looked like he was on drugs and some guy just randomly punches him

  • so why do people take these courses? for fun or for theatrical applications, likemovies and things like that? very cool videos BTW :)

  • IMO stupid people fighting without armor. but i must say: they can fight very well

  • They've got a Ph.D in Badassery!

  • VERY good

  • ow 1:19

  • brutal huh?

  • no no no 2:30 is ouch

  • ohhh... ow.

  • The song is Last Resort by Papa Roach

  • what is the name of that song playing??

  • and they say us stage combatants can't be that hardcore

  • pieprzysz 00:49-00:55 zajebiste :)the best

  • Filmik taki sobie, ale za to muza zajebista??

  • O_o NOT COOL 01:12

  • Man, the one on one rock, that one army of sword fighters vs the other was kind of silly I thought. just a thought. awsome video.

  • sounds like the punches are real... are they?

  • usually someone hits something to make a sound like the blow, which helps the illusion along. Maybe strike your own chest (palm flat) etc., or someone not in the fight uses a prop, things like that.

  • I am an animator researching sword, stick and unarmed combat, and this is the best reference material iv got, better than some movies. so cool guys keep up the good work and keep posting videos!! they are also awesome fun to watch!

  • actually, if u look CLOSELY at 1:05, he STILL has the dagger in his left hand & his sword is on the ground. HE CAN STILL WIN!!!!!!

  • i think you al hate each other

  • this is the best video I've seen all day the reeactments are incredible.

  • omg i think i need a phyciatric just to stop me from joining them! :P

  • omg really?!

  • Ok, never mind! Went to part 4 and 5 and now I know it's in the UK. :-)

  • Wow! This is great! Is this a REAL school or are you just making it up?

  • nice acting.... good for cameras...

  • man, these fights are real?

  • wow! huge sword war! 2:29 she kicked that guy in the ouchies!

  • ok that butterfly shoops at 1:43 was really gay. actually it cant even be called a butterfly shoop. terrible. anyways.... it was really sweet!!! >_<

  • ok that butterfly twist at 1:43 was really gay. actually it cant even be called a butterfly twist. terrible. anyways.... it was really sweet!!! >_<

  • thats so cool

  • GREAT!! very impresivve :)

  • how come at 1:05 when the guy lost his sword he gave up? didn't he have a perfectly good dagger? my motto: if your gonna die, take em down with you!

  • i think it slipped out of his hand when he swung upwards. if you were to get rid of a weapon (such as throwing it at your opponent) make sure you have a replacement otherwise if it doesnt work then your in trouble.

  • Freakin sweet. Where can I sign up?

  • This has to be the baddest-ass of all degrees in the known world. My god this is so awesome.

  • Well said my friend. Well said.

  • these people are having to much fun.I want to join in

  • WOW! That was amazing. I want to learn the quarterstaff!

  • I want all of these people to come to my house for a massive brawl...and afterwards we can all havea cup of Tea :)

  • You guy are so cool!

  • Where do you all go to school? Or what is the designated class? Also, i noticed there are virtually no heavy set people that do this, Is there a weight requirement to participate? Also, i love the hand to hand combat fight when she smacks you in the face with her elbow... its great.

  • East 15 Acting School. And as for build, its all down to who applies and who gets in, so no there are no physical requirements per se, execpt that large or small you must be able to undergo fairly intense physical training.

  • Pointless? You mean awesome!

    Very well done.

  • pointless

  • they're actors. This is how the "train" to get better at acting for movies, plays, and such.

  • Wow those guys are the best!!! this is the best of your movies.

  • wow when that chick decked that guy i know that was real u cant fake getting hit like that

  • Except that actors around the world do that all the time.

  • Is all of that choreographed? Explains why they are so good. If it was just them training with each other that would be pretty damn awesome. Its really cool, good video.

  • is there a way to make simple sword fighting look really amazing. me and my friends are making a movie involving swords, but we want stuff to be easy for us to remember because of GCSE's and stuff. So is there a way of making simple sword fighting look good?

  • Have messaged you, hope it helps. Best of luck.

  • Really great, am hoping to make a sword movie next, hope the fights are as realistic and imaginative

  • nice work, looks like you all had a good teacher. Keep it up.

  • THat is AWESOME!! Hopefully Ill be there in the coming term!!

  • I must say this was beautifully done. I am rather critical when it comes to staged violence of any sort, but the work displayed in this video by the students of East 15 is exceptional. I checked out the school's site and liked what I saw. Who knows perhaps I'll meet some of you next summer.

  • cool.

  • absolutly amazing. It sounds and looks so real.

  • This stuff is absolutely awesome.

  • This is absolutely, completely brilliant, and it's re-inspired my never-really-dead passion for stage combat. I've just contacted my old teacher about a possible apprenticeship with him or other training opportunities... so thanks for indirectly giving me the guts to do that. *laughs* That was unbelievably freaking awesome.

  • AWESOME i suck at stage combat it looks so fake

    you put me to shame

  • Is This at East 15 Acting school?!

  • Yes.

  • haha, wow, that was amazing. great video, with great choreography. i can tell you guys enjoy what you do.

  • Awesome.

  • Note from author: If viewing please note.

    We are not military re-enactors.

We specialise in choreographed fighting specificaly designed for stage and screen.

  • great editing. I'd love to see some of these fights from start to finish.

  • okay my bud in my video team wants to know if that was real hitting with the fist?? he says it sounds real

  • I can tell you that none of the punches are real. The reason it looks and sounds so good is because thats what we do :-p

  • A BA? In Stage Combat? They didn't offer that as a course twenty years ago, or I'd have stayed in college. Really sweet though, what you guys do! We just like to fight with steel weapons, so here's what I do.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-GE-vKKNAc

Keep it up and good luck!

  • dude that was amazing
