  • Why is it always overcast in London?

  • When does the Captain turn off AP during an ILS landing?

  • @MyhreProductions 50 feet

  • @MyhreProductions Because he manually wants to Flare the plane.

  • It's BA. If you listen closely at 0:14 you can hear 'Speedbird'

  • How do papi lights work?

  • @joaofbi4321 see papi lights are a 4 light config . it tells you if your approach is too high too low or perfect . 2 reds 2 whites = perfect white means high and red means low

  • @totti197 I Know That, But I Want To Know How They Work

  • @joaofbi4321

    Radar.

  • Most likely BA.

  • it looks like its british airways 737 as they were the main 737 carrier and still are into gatwick but sadly its dieing as they are being replaced with a319 and a320

  • Do the pilots controll trims manually? and do they use autopilot all the time to hold the speed and altitude?

Actually, I don't even touch the trim while flying in FSX and I use autopilot to hold speed and altitude. But I land manually and it's perfect all the time.

  • @FSX09pilot yeah, they'd control manually when the AP is off, but the AP would control the trim as long as the pilot selects the Vertical Speed

  • Great vid, can't imagine what the idiot that gave this the thumbs down was thinking.

  • nice landing

  • wheres the flare

  • brilliant stuff

  • i think its a jet2 flight. sounds so on the radio at 0:27.

  • It doesnt look like they are flying an ILS as the plane did not look like it was on the centre line.

  • @Mr1997Flight even when flying an ILS are most of the landings not manual? Just because a pilot tunes into the ILS does not mean he will always use the approach hold.

  • @emelianenkoo Ok , thanks.

  • thanks for this video

  • Great vid nice landing.

  • Nice video, what airline is that?

  • @HotDog12ist Unfortunately, I can't remember. We got this video from a retired pilot a long time ago who was flying on the jump seat but since then all contact with him has been lost.

  • @aviafilmsproduction BA uses stand 53, so you can suppose it's BA.

  • @Flyer1000 It says it goes to stand 35, both in text and in the video. Stand 35 is used by about 14 different airlines.

  • @aviafilmsproduction cant be too long ago, there is the new walkway/bridge that connects the North Termnal satellite.

  • Very interesting seeing landing at Gatwick from the pilots view.

  • @Wonkabar007 Thank you very much!
