Now this is the Bachmann Thomas with the Hornby Annie and Clarabel. OO is actually bigger than HO but here there's no telling. OO and HO sometimes do look the same for what I know.

Are the Bachmann models better than the Hornby ones? They certainly look better in the videos people have uploaded, im thinking of getting some instead of Hornby but im worried they wont perform as well!

pretty much it just depends what you think check the bachman website and hornby websites cus each one of them has rolloing stock or engines that look bette rhten the other i like the Bachmann thomas percy goradn james and henry while for the other engines horby has are amazing pretty much it just depends what your looking for maybe you could get stuff from btoh compnays since there the same gauge type and all

Bachmann = pricer but better detail.

However, with regards to Thomas, Bachmann = TV version, Hornby = Railway Series version.

Yes, but most of the models Bachmann dosen't make, but Hornby does.

I can't argue with that. I had a Hornby Thomas at one point but it only worked for like five minutes before its motoer died. From now on I'm with Bachmann unless it's absolutely neccessary.
