There's no point in discussing the injustices dealt to Native Americans. Although I am white, I am not ashamed because I am not a part of the population of white people that did this, nor was my family present in the Americas until the mid-late 1800s.

However, I do recognize these injustices and wish wholeheartedly that what happened did not happen. I think that a very promising and beautiful culture of the world was lost, or severely damaged.

@Lakota43 Wasicu Lakota means White Person Lakota - not White Lakota - it's kind of a contradiction in terms. Don't forget the hundreds of other tribes, brother. It's not just about the Lakota. It's about the perceived indigenous spiritual philosophy & attitude toward nature & people... something innate, something common to pretty much all indigenous people. I know the Lakota are the most easily accessed when it comes to copying their ceremonies & language - but there are other ways.
