Nothing here about one's value as a human being. That is not the issue, the issue is about the choices one human being makes. Make a poor choice, face the judgement and punishment of your peers. Simple. The idea is easy to understand, those who unnecessarily tax finite resources and contribute to environmental degradation (and the inevitible social degradation that follows) shoud face chastisement and censure. They BUY more gas. It's not free. It's not given to them. They purchase it with money they EARNED. That's how the world works.
And no, I don't drive an SUV. If you must know, I drive a Toyota Matrix, and it gets 32 MPG. That was my choice because It was economical, not to please the internet trolls.

There is little to justify SUVs on city streets, wouldn't you agree? Apparently so, as you drive a Toyota Matrix. We live in an era where turning a blind eye to these poor choices is really not an option. i would rather not be an enabler. This sort of self-entitlement deserves scorn. It's simple, understand?

@Shirokinukatsukami It's not an entitlement to own an SUV. They PAY for them. There are planty of ways to justify owning an SUV. The owner could have a large family. They could be a DJ or sound/lighting technician. Having been in bands myself, I understand the value of having a large vehicle with which to transport equipment. Someone who needs a large vehicle for their job or large family, may not be able to afford a second car to run errands. Bet you wouldn't have cared if it was a van.

You shouldn't care if someone has justification for their SUV. They paid extra for the vihicle. They pay extra for the gas. They pay more to register the vihicle in most states. Now how exactly do they pay all of this? Oh... Right.... from the money they EARN from their JOBS.

Single occupant vehicles, especially SUVs is the issue. Regardless of whether one feels they are entitled to a own a bigger vehicle or not. Why even bother getting into this? SUV's are an irresponsible choice, end of. You can try to justify it all you want, but that doesn't fly, especially as there are plenty of alternatives out there.
