BlazBlue: Continuum Shift - Challenge Mode Combos

Man, the combos in this game.

Been playing Blazblue for about a year and I still can only get around 50% of them for each character D:

Blazblue is seriously the hardest fighting game when it comes to combos,

and i like that the most about Blazblue.

@Joseponypants I suggest getting arcade stick. I used regular controller for SF4 and BlazBlue all these years, but last week got myself the stick. I'm telling you, it gets WAY easier. Challenge 5's are still hard for me, but I can get the challenge 4 done with all the characters, at least.

Mission 7 with lambda is really hard, but I did it. But mission 8 is almost impossible, you have to be pretty fast and all in the exactly time...aff, this weren't meant to be that hard...

@CTKShadow00 It's like... an updated version of CT. Mori (I think) the producer said it's like BB 1.5 instead of BB 2. If anything it's a pretty big upgrade due to the system changes and all the new characters they're adding but it's not a full-on sequel to the BB series. It's a sequel to CT but it's not exactly BB 2 if that makes sense... Sorry if I confused you OTL

8k combo that requires 100 meter isn't that threatening coming from a character that doesn't have wtfhax meter gain.

Reason being, by the time they have 100 meter, there's really only three likely scenarios.

1. They've been dominating to the point that any other combo would kill anyway.

2. The match was relatively even, with both of you at close to low health. Again, any other combo would kill.

3. They've been IB'ing/taking damage all match to get 100 meter, in which case it would be a comeback.

Why are so many school girls crying in here?! Learn how to play.There are 2 burst and tutorials for advanced combos. There are a ton of combos you can make yourself and learn from the game and other people. If you're not good enough of a gamer to learn anything, then dont play. The last combo was advance for a reason. Anyone not playing Nu/13 etc, cant say she's easy to play. So when you get raped by her dont scream she's cheap. I cant wait to improve my Hazuma. Man up. Own or get owned.

@csblazblue Actually in this game she is one of the harder characters to play, since her zooning cant completely lock down everybody anymore and her damage and defense is worse (no 2c imbaness). Still got easy combos though. Well not easy, but definitely easier than most of the cast.

fuck my life, how can you have a 8k dmg combo in the game, if theres even a slightly more practical version of it that does less damage it would still be around 5k+. They need to nerf that combo damage so matchs can last longer and theres more room for a comeback, that just looks imbalanced.

@JasonDS64 sword super is her best (maybe only) proper reversal move, its not hard to eat one during a reset or some similar situation.

@bluecheeseftw sword super is a terrible reversal move, 50 heat and lack of instant start-up makes it easy to block. You're better off just blocking unless you know it'll hit on a move with long recovery, or using gravity well because it's a reversal now. A better one, and you can use the heat you saved to cancel it if it gets blocked.

But high combo damage which i consider to be anything over 5k is simply too much, in some cases that is close to half hp already and im not talking about just lambda, it doesnt allow leniancy for a comeback

some may argue BB's make up for it but w/e its all situational, had enuf of CT with this problem but if anyone wants a game (cz i clearly talk shit right?) just pm me

@platefork The only character in Blazblue with link combos is Hakumen, and the windows for them are so wide you could probably mash the link out.

Taokaka's drive loop involves linking as well since you can't cancel her drive moves into C moves, you need for the drive (or drive cancel) animation to end before inputting a C move (or an A move for that matter).
