i'm hong kong people.i'm only 16.i saw this fime when i was only 6-7 years old.it was unforgettable.i watch this film so many times still touched.my english not good.sorry
i watched the departed yesterday, they butchered the original movie, the idea of conscious eternal punishment was not there, the hallucinations, the thrill in the movie is gone.
I am English/Caucasian. I think the Chinese are making some very good films and Internal Affairs has some powerful moments. Just be grateful for the cinematography and use of HK skyline in this scene.
@TheDynamicaliiex LOL Get over yourself. IA at least shows the emotions running through the characters. The Departed is good,but F words all around is quite a turn off. And IA has been revered as the HK movie industry's saviour,being internationally acclaimed. Unfortunately for dickwads like you,only Hollywood provides 'good' movies. Heck,The Departed is merely a REMAKE,with A List Hollywood stars and more explosions. Maybe if you broaden your mind,you can tap into something called common sense.
wish i could just teleport this movie cuz i am like the BIGGEST fan of foreign flicks, and I have to say, this is like one of the best-looking ones I've seen yet..so wish America had this much creativity and intelligence in their movies..no wonder I like the indie films better than the mainstream stuff they put out every friggin summer...cuz they have intelligence and creativity, the mainstream shit like Sex and the City..oii...
@lebbeus Oh Overrated? Why would Hollyhood make a COMPLETE copy of this movie? Not to mention the Departed scene script is filled with the F word that I can't hardly hear any dialogue or see complex emotions running through the actors' face.
@700gsteak in what ways you think the Hollywood does that? O becuz they have a global recognized Academy Award and in hk they have what? the replica of the Academy Award? u should check out "Connected" from hk and "Cellular" from Hollywood..yeah "Connected" got a lots of credits for it's "originality" too lmao
i agree, the cinematography and editing in this scene is on another level, the departed rooftop scene looks like a home made student video in comparison lol
infernal affairs is the best movie no one can compare this movie to others

@corzylans Oh wow sounds like u miss a lot of copies of the hkies trying to "re-create" a hollywood movie...
plus u really sound like an ignorant hk person, like one "good" thing is enough to make u so proud that hk can take on the world rofl

@lebbeus ignorance.what else can i say.

@lebbeus Difference is when HK remakes an american film they dont give themselves a golden horse and pretend they came up with the great idea.
