Omg! that sounds badass. Can you please tell me the kit number? i would really appreciate it. I always wanted an LS V8, but saw so many don't buy this car reviews, i see them sometimes and i just stare its one of my must have cars, so im gonna buy one, hope it dosen't break down too much!
Nice! so does that mean lets say i get one with 80k miles 2002 V8, i would be okay? what should i look out for? i currently drive a Benz and the benz has been awsome. So i hope the lincoln is better.
The exhaust was $650 at the time. Borla used to make one too, but it was waaay overpriced. My LS still has the factory battery...still going strong. However, I'm having coil issues right now!
They are not so hard to do. YOu can do it your self. Just remove the cover for the coil and thats it. You will save yourself a lot of money if you do it yourself
@Osain I think im coming up on some coil issues. What effects are you having? Mine jerks every once in a while between 40-50 mph. Could coils be the issue?
@Dameon2003 I literally just replaced all 8 of them last weekend. I bought them from Advance Autoparts for $50 each. It made a night and day difference. I took mine to the stealership and had them diagnose it so I would know for sure. It was worth the $100 to know for sure. I suggest taking it in and then do the repair yourself.
@Dameon2003 i have an 05 ultimate and i had the same issue. found a set on ebay that were made in germany but got all 8 for $115 shipped and they have a lifetime warranty. havent had a bit of an issue yet for the past 3 months, so save ur money and shop around a bit before you spend too much
How much did you pay? I have a 2000 LS-V8 and only have changed the oil every 5000 miles with synthetic oil. no problems at all. Only maintenance was to replace battery in the trunk at year 5.
The 3.9 is in the Jag because Ford bought Jag. The same engine is also in the Thunderbirds. It's a high compression dual over head cam engine. Definately a force to be reconed with. Runs so smooth it's easy to redline if you aren't careful. I'm glad for the rev limiter. Keeps you in the boundaries.
ive replaced two thermostats, the coolant tank, DCCV, 3 coils, one ball joint, the battery twice and all the shocks, struts, strut mount bushings, tie rods, and sway bar links, but mine has 115 thousand miles.
ya i seen yours, the white one with a system, right? well mine has smoke coming from engine, it smelled like burned oil. i havent driven it for months ill fix it someday but for now im driving the 96 saturn, this shit is ballin im putting up a video of it hahaha j/k its garbage
lookin to go with magnaflow on my yukon. i've been impressed with its sound. listening to what others have posted with the different brands. dynomax ultra and magnaflow sound good. i'm flowmastered out. EVERYONE IS DOIN IT. :)
I might have to do the same to mine. I bought it out right cash for 13 in MD. Planning to remap the engine, remove the governor, re do the exhaust, and intake. Debating if i am just gonna take the dam engine out and swap it for a slightly bigger engine. Also looking for a great transmission for it. trying to get 400HP out of it. Not much more.. really theres no need, just want it to have 400hp and do it efficiently!
to remove the governor you would probably have to catch him doing something illegal so he can get impeached
no but really, take it to a nice shop with car computers and shit, and for the right price the will plug a computer into your car and take off the limiters
sounds very throaty, like true American muscle sound! (Do you have an X-Pipe or H-pipe? was there a performance improvement gained?
alexnds1 8 months ago
@alexnds1 The magnaflow system comes with an x-pipe which is an upgrade from the factory h-pipe. Very noticeable gain.

@VaNdAlL04 It turns down right after the muffers...gives it that rumbly sound.

@Osain sounds good though. I hate how some have huge chrome tips and a loud wrapping noise. reminds me of a mustang with straight pipes.

Did install a cold air intake system.

Osain 3 years ago
you had any problems with that thing? ever overheated, what have you fixed on that?
KevinLSV8 3 years ago
No overheating, but I did have to replace the overflow reservoir. I also replaced the VC gaskets.

replace the valve cover gasket, and use some silicone around each coil, thats probably why its smoking and smelling like oil.

The engine is by Jaguar.

Its actually Aston Martin. Like the owner said it is a motor found in the Jags. Its really a Ford motor.

I had it done at at exhaust shop. It is possible to do yourself since it's a bolt-on system.
